I also appreciated that they kept in mind what i would think was appropriate for her since we don't always agree on this. :) I thought the prices were very fair, although she did snag a (super cute) boys lie hoodie that was on the pricier side. Some other brands they carry that she gravitated towards were free people and spill the tea tanks. I even tried on a super stretchy and comfortable pair of jeans (also very well priced), but just wasn't in the mood to buy jeans on a hot August day. I'm enjoying wearing skirts/dresses while the weather allows for it, but may go back in the fall. While the clothes are adorable, the friendly owners and staff are what set this apart from some other boutiques we've shopped in. And that alone will bring us back soon!

It wasn't said in a friendly or joking way--it came across as disrespectful and unprofessional, especially in a retail environment where customer service should feel welcoming. Even if the comment wasn't directed at me, it made the atmosphere uncomfortable. When you're shopping, you expect kindness and professionalism, not negativity. Old Navy is usually known for being family-friendly and approachable, but moments like this really affect the overall shopping experience. I hope the store management takes this seriously and reminds staff (if it was an employee) that tone and attitude matter. A simple word said the wrong way can make customers feel unwelcome, and that's not what anyone wants when they come in to shop.

Granted, I grew up with Venture and KMart clothes, and shoes from Payless (Pro Wings baby). Nothing wrong with that, but brand named clothes was a pipe dream for this poor kid. So in my early teens, to find out of a place where you actually see commercials of on TV, and prices that were typically ~$20-40, I thought I would waltz into highschool as the most fashionable kid there was. And you sure can! With some creativity and layering, you can get yourself some great outfits for $100 easily. Ain't nothing wrong with that! Nowadays, I come here mostly for accessories: Gloves, hats, scarves, the occasional undershirt, and funny tshirt. The quality of Old Navy clothes are "OK". They definitely don't fall apart after 5 washes, like H&M, but definitely put your clothes in the "delicate" cycle when washing. I didn't see the Final Sale stamp because the woman stapled my credit card receipt on top so the red writing wasn't visible. I bought 2 dresses and a necklace for $424.43. The bottom of the receipt says returns within 14 days of purchase in original, unworn condition, with tags and receipt. I didn't buy the items to return them and I am insulted that a red Final Sale is stamped on my receipt. That is sneaky, tacky, and downright unkind. I called the number on the receipt to tell the young lady who sold the items to me and the number is disconnected. What kind of store is this? The lady was polite, seemed very nice. It's however not nice to put a FINAL SALE on the receipt without telling me and hiding it by stapling the credit card receipt over the red writing.

It's a beautiful warm and humid day in Chicago and the walk was good. The place is very quaint and small but well lit for shopping. It's a woman's boutique specializing in European clothing. The major designer is Solar and I have not heard of it, but designs are suited for a dressier woman. Thankfully that counts me in as I work in an office where jeans are not allowed and it's conservative so the weekends I can go casual. Back to the store the sizes are European and the lady at the counter (I am assuming is the owner) was very kind to tell me that 34 is usually x-small, 36 is small and 38 is medium. I'm usually a medium but some of her clothing allow for a 34 when I tried on a pair of white slacks. It had a great fit, but buying white is difficult because the material may be more revealing than you might like. Her clothes has many price points as she indicated and sales from the previous season is 20% off. Her summer selection drove me to walk in full of blight yellows, pink, and orange. Generally it isn't a place that I'd shop because clothing stores don't carry things in my size, but they do have some accessories and stuff. I did find a shirt that they carry up to a 2X, so my Cubbie-loving heart snapped it up; however, I think that single t-shirt is about it for the stuff they sell over an L. I stopped in because I was at the neighborhood street fair and needed some sunglasses, and I found a cute pair of those along with some lotion for my poor neglected hands. They had a lot of cute things from dresses and tops to candles, Chicago-themed merch, and items with which to pamper yourself. And TONS of jeans. I don't know if I've ever seen an independent boutique with as much denim as they have here. It's definitely a place to stop rather than shopping online because the cost of everything I saw here was very reasonable. The staff--possibly the owner, along with another employee--were friendly. It's a small shop but not crowded, and they have an area that I think was set up as a fitting room complete with a couch so your trusted fashionista friend can tell it to you straight. This store doesn't have dedicated parking, but in Edison Park you'll find that's not generally an issue.

So imagine my surprise and excitement to find that the sizes at this store range from XS to 3X! The clothes are so cute and affordable. They also have a bunch of accessories to choose from to complete your look. The ladies that work there are so helpful and friendly. Added bonus is that they have a website that I may be looking at more often than I should but I love supporting small businesses and this one is so worth it.
