    Burned kids meal nuggets

Burned Food Really disappointed. Got home just now and the nuggets for my kid are burned. Hey Victory Diner, kids meals are for kids so please give a care when you make them.

Tasty onion rings & DUI fries! The carne asada was delicious.

We come for the BOGO free burgers but always get the onion rings / fried zucchini sticks / DUI fries as well. The drive-thru line is usually long for dinner (a good sign) so we just order inside. The wait for food usually takes 10-15 minutes and service is friendly!

It's my third visit here, and honestly, every time we're in the area, we make it a point to stop by for their burritos. I usually go for the carne asada burrito--it's consistently flavorful and satisfying. Service has always been great, and the ambiance is pretty casual, similar to a fast-food spot--nothing fancy, but comfortable enough for a quick bite. This time, I decided to switch things up and tried the tuna melt and the gyro wrap. Both were surprisingly delicious and definitely worth ordering again. It's nice to know they do more than just burritos well!

Fried chicken with fries, rings, and rolls.

I ordered the fried chicken for lunch before going to work. It's four pieces with fries, onion rings, rolls, and a salad. The salad came first, and it was good sized. The hot items came later. This was a really good meal for the price. The only problem was the chicken was overcooked. The service was great. I liked all the photos of war planes, and the one hanging from the ceiling.

You know it's a chill place with them letting us walk through the drive through

Giving them a big shout out. We needed something open late after 2 AM. One of the few things you can find around and the menu that's crazy. You could order everything for breakfast to hotdog to burgers fries whatever your heart's feeling you can order. Guy took care of us even helped us customize our drinks. We thought the dining room was open, but it wasn't. So we walked around to the menu at the drive-through to look at it and he offered us to go ahead and walk on through instead of having to pull our car up. Grabbed a breakfast burrito with bacon. Loved it maybe this salsa would be my one down point. My friends picked up French toast, which they said was excellent and her hot dog for a good mix which they also enjoyed.

    Diner booths and airplane decor

Victory Diner is located off Main St and W Culver Ave in Orange within walking distance of CHOC - Orange and St. Joseph's Hospital. Looks like a WWII themed diner with a really cool model airplane hanging from the ceiling, model ship, and old warplane pictures on the upper sun room windows. They serve up a combo of American and mexican food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The diner's clean and the staff is friendly with smiles. You can order from a kiosk, at the counter, or drive-thru. They have a couple banks of soda fountains with Coke products and Pibb Xtra as well as a couple sets each of regular and decaf coffee. The breakfast burrito was good size and tasted good too. Didn't take very long for it to be made and was delivered right to my table. Looking at others food being delivered, the portion sizes seem to be on the medium to larger side, they don't skimp here. Lastly, my final observations, they still have covid glass still up between tables which I'm assuming are for germs and stuff, but they allowed a street vendor to go from table to table trying to sell stuff, putting her bag and merch on customers tables . Also, the staff seemed to know her since they were talking to her and allowed it. Just an observation during my visit, that's all. All in all, foods good, oh and it's very reasonable too!!

Wet burrito - asada with red sauce
    M S.

Randomly decided to come here one afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. It's a no frills style diner. You order up front at the counter or kiosk and then an employee will bring your food to your table. I ordered the wet burrito with asada and red sauce. It was pretty good and the portion was huge! I'd come here again.

Overall, everything lacked flavor, although I will say the red salsa served with the chips was delicious. My friend ordered the avocado toast, but it was basically just a slice of bread with sliced avocado--no seasoning, condiments, or anything to make it stand out. The small garden salad was equally underwhelming, consisting of only romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes with no dressing or even a drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but they were more like open-faced boiled eggs since the yolks were completely hard instead of runny. The café de olla had a nice flavor, but it was much sweeter than expected. I think it would be better if they served it unsweetened (or lightly sweetened) and let customers adjust the sugar to their own taste. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the ambiance is so charming, but the food just didn't live up to the experience.

We arrived and immediately the staff was so attentive, coming to assist with the lift outside. And they mentioned that if the lift is down for some reason, they also have a ramp to deploy in the back to provide access, which was incredible to hear. The restaurant is charming inside and laid out with plenty of room to navigate and also enjoy your breakfast without feeling like you're on top of anyone else. The service continued to be absolutely stellar, with everyone working in a flow to make the experience flawless. The food was PHENOMENAL, with fluffy pancakes and crispy thick bacon! I'm still dreaming of the pineapple pancakes with tropical syrup... delicious! Their coffee was perfect, too, and I had their awesome cold brew. To top off this experience, the prices cannot be beat. We were shocked how affordable this meal was, especially given the great portion sizes and quality. The service was fast and we were checked on multiple times at the right intervals. My husband's coffee and my hot chocolate were continuously refilled without having to track someone down. My husband ordered the crepes, I ordered the cheese omelet with a side of hash browns and my daughter ordered the pancakes. All very good choices. I think the crepes were definitely the standouts though. I don't think the other items had anything extraordinary about them, but just the overall experience of ordering, easiness, attention to detail from server combined made everything extra special and us wanting to add this place to our favorite places.

The hours never really worked with our schedule either being from 8:30 am to 2 pm. We started off with the Ube Sweet Cream Cold Brew ($7) and Pandan Cold Brew ($7). My bf absolutely loved the ube cold brew and said it was probably the best he's ever had. He loved it so much that he got another one to-go after we finished our meal so that was a rare occurrence lol. The ube flavor was strong even after everything was mixed together. Smooth, creamy and tasty. My pandan cold brew was also pretty good. Usually I feel like pandan is difficult to get a real robust flavor and you end up tasting more coffee than pandan. I could actually taste the vanilla/nutty notes and coconut flavor. Also very yummy after mixing it all together. Cold brew flavor did end up coming out stronger tho but I somewhat expect that. We ordered the Adobo Rice Omelet ($14.95 - Chicken-adobo garlic rice wrapped in a three egg omelet, topped with adobo gravy, fried garlic & scallions) - This was really tasty and kind of heavy for me. Sooo much rice under the omelette bed lol. I was beyond stuffed and couldn't take another bite at the end and ended up packing like 2 bites in a small box. My bf ordered the Jeepney Breakfast Burrito ($14 - Crispy golden potatoes, melted cheese, chipotle aoli, scrambled eggs. Your choice of meat, served with a side of pork chicharron and Sinigang Salsa verde) - This was soo delicious. The chicharron side was a great crunch and sinigang salsa verde with the burrito made it even better. It was over the top for our bellies already with the heavy breakfast, but I still insisted that we try a regular breakfast item like french toast. Ordered the Ube Fruity Pebble French Toast ($16.95) and it was yummy! I definitely needed more fruity pebbles but that's my preference. Staff was friendly and prompt. The place was packed and I had joined the waitlist online prior to coming. Waited less than 10 min when we actually arrived. I also loved the decorations everywhere with the foliage, light fixtures and even the ceiling fans. The Tagalog vocab on the chalkboard is also fun to read and learn. I like that there's still a modern feel to the place.

Absolutely insane. We went in yesterday, and while the surprisingly short wait times to be seated…read moreand get our food weren't concerning at first, receiving our meals literally about three minutes after ordering definitely raised some questions. The food unfortunately tasted like it had been premade and sitting for a while. The eggs wrapped around the omelette were tough and chewy rather than fresh and fluffy. The French toast itself actually tasted good, but it was absolutely drenched in ube sauce--to the point that it basically turned into French mush. The loaded potatoes were probably the biggest disappointment. The bacon had been cooked to death and was so hard it was difficult to eat, while the tater tots somehow had the opposite problem and were completely mushy. This place has the potential to be a great restaurant, but the food quality was highly disappointing, especially considering how quickly everything came out. I will give credit where it's due, though: the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the service couldn't make up for the quality of the food.
