Victrola has great lattes and most of the folks that work there are amazing. However, recently business hours have become "UNRELIABLE" depending on who the female barista is. One evening they closed 20 minutes early and two other evenings 15-25 minutes early. We saw several customers turned away. Finding a coffee shop that closes at 7:00 is a blessing to many of us. "Arbitrary" hours simply "train" customers to not come since many can only come during the evening and now, it is uncertain whether they will actually be open or closed during OPENING BUSINESS HOURS. Poor customer service. Is the barista(s) trying to turn business away, be mean to customers or force the owners to change closing hours? 4.5! Location and ambience is lovely! I imagine it'd be a great spot to get work done or have a long conversation with a friend. It's very spacious and comfortable. I got a decaf latte with coffee blossom honey and hemp milk. I'd never had hemp milk before, and I think this totally is a game changer for me... it was SO CREAMY. Even creamier than whole milk?! Definitely going to keep my eyes peeled for that. Customer service was super duper friendly and helpful in explaining what the various items on the menu were. There are some unique things (like cereal milk!) on there. Knocked off half a star because it's pretty expensive. I enjoyed my coffee from Victrola. The only thing I didn't care for was the fact that my wife who is lactose intolerant asked for steamed oatmilk in her coffee and the barista would not accommodate that. We weren't given a reason why, we were just brushed off. I think in the future they should examine that policy. read more

The name Victrola will always and forever remind me of Chuck and Blair and they're glamorous, expensive lifestyle. Victrola the coffee shop doesn't fall far from this idea. There's another location in Capitol Hill, but this one, with its wide windows and sleek counters takes the cake. You can sip on something, munch on another and walk the pedestrians of Seattle float by - all on free wifi. Had an iced mocha here that is to die for - a significant improvement from Seattle's boasting Starbucks chain. So smooth that you can't even taste the bitter of the coffee, but not so sweet as to give you diabetes. I hope that this Seattle chain moves a little further south sometime soon. Their pastry display isn't anything to sneeze at either. Holding a row of the ever elusive Canele de Bordeaux which was honestly baked to perfection - lovely custard on the inside, crunchy sugary goodness on the outside. this place is awesome. my friend from out of town and i came here, and this was definitely a seattle experience--the interior is all industrial and cool, and when i asked the barista (a cool dude with long hair) what i could get as an espresso, he said with a sleepy voice, "whatever you want, the world is your oyster." if you want to give someone the seattle experience, you have to bring them here. i got a macchiato, and i kept talking about it afterward for like ten minutes just periodically, "man... this macchiato is good..." like it stayed on your tongue and on your mind. i really liked this place, and if i lived more in the city, i would come back here more often. also they carry a nice selection of merchandise for at-home coffee brewing! i wish they had vegan baked goods and not just a vegan sandwich, but oh well read more

Okay, perhaps my eyesight is getting the best of me since I recently was prescribed glasses, but I swore this place was called "Victoria" when I first looked it up on Yelp. That little mistake did not deter me though from enjoying a nice sit-down chai in the middle of a bustling, chilly Seattle day. After roaming around downtown and through Pike's a bit, it was time for me to sit down and collect myself. This coffee shop caught my attention as it's on the first floor of a perceived large business building but was open on the weekends. While the tea was fine and nothing out of the ordinary, the real gem here are its RESTROOMS. They have to be the cleanest, most modern, private single stall restrooms that you'll find downtown. If you are needing to relieve yourself, come in, order something, and ask for the bathroom code. Your bum will thank me later. read more

My sister had been trying to tell me to come here for the longest time and I'm glad I finally came! Came in midday on a Saturday after work and my bus was coming in ten minutes and glancing in through the window like a creep LOL I saw my window of opportunity(literally) which was so perfect! The interior is super clean and it's surprisingly quiet inside, since it is on 3rd Ave. The two baristas that were working were nice! I ordered a vanilla cold brew topped off with oat milk and the barista that took my order asked how sweet I wanted my drink which was very nice. By the time I was done paying my drink was already done and I loved that! The price I paid for my large cold brew plus a muffin was great (around $9 after tip). Both tasted really great, my coffee was not bitter at all which i find happens when places let their cold brew expire so it's nice to know they keep everything really fresh! I had a hair appointment downtown around 11 a few Saturday ago and wanted tp grab coffee somewhere and this was probably the closest. I've been to the Victrola on Cap Hill and knew I would like their coffee. Got an oat milk latte for there almost got it to go. When I arrived there was probably already about 8 plus people in line and only one person behind the counter not sure if someone called in late or if there was a schedule snafu but I give the guy behind the counter a big thumbs up. He never got flustered and remained friendly in a situation he really could only do his best and I told him so when I ordered. read more

On a scale of 1-10 flavor wise (of espresso, my reviews will rarely be for coffee) I'd give it a 7. I'm not head over heels for it, but it is good quality and richer in flavor. Ordered my usual almond milk latte and was very gratified in the thickness and amount of foam. This is connected to an amazon building and seems to be fairly new. Staff was middle of the road nice - not overly friendly, not pretentious . Great seating options - comfy chairs down by the large windows when you first walk in, tables and chairs and a cute bar section that's lighted pink in the middle. It's clean, new, modern. Security guards are by the second entrance, not sure if that's an Amazon thing or because of the location (I wouldn't call it the greatest part of downtown). Unisex bathrooms. A coffee shop that's new to downtown but not new to coffee. Their slightly tinted windows shroud them from the public view. I literally walked right by at first, so yes it's a quiet spot for coffee in a usually crowded and bustling area. The interior is really modern and clean. Lounge seating and nice windows make it good for casual meetings and getting work done. The barista was very courteous, and he informed me that their americanos are served at 180 degrees instead of the normal 200. Below I will list the pros of this new Victrola and the unfortunate cons that keep this 4 star coffee and tea shop from being 5 star excellent! Pros: - The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, I love their input and am very appreciative of good coffee shop service -The teas are delicious! I literally cant find other teas like them -The atmosphere is calm and tranquil. Its never super crowded -The new ambiance is super sleek and modern. I can relax in various areas, and never feel super closed in because of the floor to ceiling windows Cons: -The food and drinks are massively overpriced compared to Victrola's smaller counterparts the quality does not outweigh the insane price, so its not an every day place to go for coffee or tea -I am a bread connoisseur and was greatly displeased by the bread texture and burnt taste of it. I have found better bread at the every run of the mill Starbucks--Save your pockets!
