I saw this restaurant on Tik Tok and couldn't wait to visit. Since I was solo, I sat at the bar. The bartenders were very nice and quickly offered suggestions. I started with a frozen margarita, and the bartender made it so pretty. She also gave me some complimentary chips and salsa. I believe the green salsa was salsa verde, and it was so delicious with the seasoned chips. I ordered the queso dip as an appetizer. It was a lot larger than I imagined, and it really filled me up. I've been here twice and both times I had the barria tacos, which are really good! I also tried the tortilla soup which is something I love when it's cool outside. The soup was tomato based which was different. Almost like a tomato soup with chicken in it. Can't say that I'd order it again. The elote corn was tasty as well. On to the drinks, lol. If I wasn't already slightly tipsy when getting there, I would have probably been a lot more frustrated because service is definitely lacking , especially if sitting at the bar. We expected a light quick experience but that's far from what we got, Kiara was very below par she made us wait forever, for everything. It was not a busy night and while I understand being short staffed- many basic steps of service were skipped. It only seemed like one side of the restaurant was actually getting service. If this is the case DO NOT sit people where they will be ignored. Y'all should've closed the patio section until you had enough staff to cover the influx of people that were going to come bc it was lunch time. At least THEN if they know they have to WAIT and don't have time they can go somewhere else. So disappointing that we won't be back. But it's Texas right, Mexican food is everywhere. To make a long story short, all of the reviews stating the service here is poor, are incredibly accurate. The service here is actually so terrible. It's a little impressive. I called because I wanted to go and get some queso and I was told that they do not take orders over the phone, I then had to prompt the woman who answered the phone to actually tell me how I get to place in order and she said I had to walk in. I intended on going to this place to pick up the food anyway so figured that's okay. As soon as you walk in, you're not really greeted, until you approach the front hostess desk. There are three women there who stare at their phones the entire time. When I stated that I wanted to place a to-go order the hostess audibly side and then pulled out a piece of receipt paper and handed it to you. Another gentleman who was decently friendly and took my order. He took my card and charged it and stated that by food would be brought out when it was ready. This was all about 3:55 p.m. On a rather slow Saturday. I understand at this place has a rooftop and there may be more going on up there, but the downstairs area was not particularly packed this day. Fast forward, I am now sitting here for about 30 minutes and that feels weird for two orders of queso, three beef, tacos, rice and beans. In my experience, these sort of things can be completed within 15 minutes, I chalked it up to the upstairs must be really, really busy. I decided I'm going to ask anyway if anyone knows how much longer it would be. It is worth noting that I was never given a time frame. It's worth noting that during the time that I was sitting, some woman got up from her table and went over to where the registers are and had to ask where her server was. I was not the only one waiting here. I went up to the hostess desk and it looked like there was a manager there, I'm not sure but he was dressed differently than everybody else, in a button down and slacks. I told him that I placed this order about 30 minutes ago and if he knew how long it would be, after learning it was a togo order he seemed pretty uninterested and advised to me to wait about five more minutes. I went and sat down again and waited about 15 more minutes before going up to the hostess desk again and asking one of the girls, yet again on their phones, about how long it would be or if anyone could check on the order. One of the girls took my receipt and went and checked on the order. About 3 minutes went by and she came back with all of my stuff. I guess they don't actually bring it out to you when it's finished. I figured I was probably going to have some sort of cold food when I got home, and for reference I live decently close to this place so it was maybe a two minute walk home. And of course I open up my tacos and I'm not even really sure these are beef, but what I do know is that they are extremely cold. The only saving grace for this place happens to be the queso. It's great, I kind of wish it wasn't, but that's what's giving this place to stars. Though I do think the portion is a little small. They really need to move into 2023 and offer some way of placing orders over the phone or via any of the millions of order placing websites. It's a little archaic to have to walk in and then take up space in their very "busy" restaurant while you wait for an undisclosed amount of time. As far as the service goes, I'm really not sure if the back is at fault for how long it takes, but I do know that the front house needs to do a lot better job. They should do something about the flies too. Maybe screen the outdoor area idk. read more

Vidorra has been a blast every time I've gone! It's always so fun to come here! They've been keeping things fun but safe during Covid, with plenty of safety precautions. I love the rooftop and always try to get up there, although it's usually easier to get seated downstairs, but it's still a blast down there! They have a large outdoor patio down there as well as indoor seating and a bar that's both inside and outside. It's a very large layout that provides plenty of space! The food here tastes great, and I love getting the giant margaritas and other mixed drinks! It's so much fun, especially on the weekend! Prices aren't the cheapest, but the quality is great, the portions generous, and the atmosphere is so much fun! Also, the salsa that comes with the complimentary chips is DELISH! They give you a few different styles and I love all of them, but especially the salsa verde! It has nice decor that is modern and aesthetic, and a very fun vibe all around. It's great to come with friends for a nice lunch or dinner. The services are all super friendly and on top of things as well, always moving and making sure everyone is taken care of! I've never had to wait that long for anything, even when it's really busy. I'm very pleased with everything about this place. I love the big drinks, the food is all very generous, filling, and delicious, and the servers are all so much fun and very friendly! It is nice that you can walk down the street and see other stores or wait in a bar while you wait to be called. I believe we ended up waiting for an hour. We were seated on the second floor (patio?). I wrote a negative Yelp review yesterday, about being double charged on my tip on 5/3/25, and the general manager, Edna, immediately wrote me back and asked me if she could speak with me. We spoke this morning and she was extremely kind, apologetic and refunded the extra tip along with a gift certificate. I explained I don't want the gift certificate but appreciated the 2nd tip being returned. It wasn't about the $11 return which was only 10% because I didn't think the service was very good. Normally I give 20%. And I did not request to have my 20% tip refunded, nor did I take the gift certificate. For me, this is about the principal of being a great waiter. It's about taking care of people when they come for food fun and making family memories and want to have an amazing family experience at a restaurant to celebrate their daughter's graduation from college. And Edna made the experience end in a good note! In fact, Edna had already implemented changes as of yesterday with her team of waiters and she took care of the $11 refund over the phone while we talked. And she opened the door for my family to return sometime in the fall when we're back in town. Lastly, I want to say that my wife of 28 yrs has always taught me that in whatever profession we are in we are supposed to treat people like family. We were unable to experience the Patron flights in traditional bottles due to them not being available; however guest seated well after my party of five were able to experience the aesthetically pleasing flight experience. I briefly share my dissatisfaction and the young inexperienced server replied were they nasty?. I was not offered an option to order anything else and did not inquire. Isisah came back and shared he lied to his manager and told him that I did not eat any and asked to take the plate quickly so his manager wouldn't find out. I did tell Isisah that if he has to hide to avoid disciplinary I did not want him to be dishonest. If you want to be impressed by sheer portion sizes, you gottta come to viddora. This place holds true to everything is bigger in Texas, particularly Dallas. We basically ordered nearly a fourth of the menu and the standout dishes were the gigantic taco, the gigantic cocktail and the queso. This was my first time coming here so I stuck with a classic: Carne Asada Tacos. The tacos were good but I suppose that since it was lunch you only get 2 medium tacos. It was probably better since I would have eaten more if it was on my plate and I really don't need to be eating "more". Service was good and pricing is as expected.
