I'm disgusted with this place . I came from NYC and was in Dallas for the night. At 1:50 am the lights came on which is usually an indicator that it's about to close and no more drinks will be sold. However , this chick (bartender ) decided to cater to her friends and sell them drinks. In my opinion is only fair to sell to others if that's the case . She was ignoring my friend and I and gave her friends drinks and totally ignored us. She then called another worker (slim, curly dark brown hair ) and told him "tell those girls no more drinks" we heard her. He came over with a nasty attitude and told us no more . He then said that "they " gave us a $400 tip that's why they can get drinks! I told him what's the difference ... and he said that's the difference. Im writing this review literally as I stand outside of the place .... That's how upset I am. How do you tell someone they gave us $400 tip that's why they can get drinks and it was 1:55am. visited Vidorra for the first time Saturday evening for my cousin's birthday dinner. Any time I go downtown I get anxiety about finding parking close by. however, Vidorra has a lot right next to it. Unfortunately for me, there were no available spots, but I was able to find one for $5 a small walk away. Once inside, my cousin was pretty upset as the hostess was kind of rude and not very empathetic to the fact that most of us were struggling with parking. I understand rules are rules as far as reservations go, especially for a busy place like this, but niceness can go a long way. Anyway, once seated, our server was great. The bar was fast when it came to receiving our drinks and they had a nice little kick to them. For dinner, I had the birria tacos. Luckily I ordered rice and beans because even though the tacos and consume were delicious, the tacos were tiny. Very delicious though as most people in our party who had been here before highly recommended. Once it got a little later, it got more of a club vibe with loud music and dark lighting. lots of fun! I've been here multiple times. The food is okay. Just don't come at night when there is live DJ on the rooftop, you'll wait outside in line for over 2 hours for no reason. The bouncer let's you in only $40 per person, you can give him cash or Zelle if not be ready to wait 2 hours. Management should not allow this!! He makes at least $500 every 30 minutes. The food is mid. I only go for the fajitas. Hard to mess fajitas up. I've tried several other food items on the list, no bueno. The service is also mid. Instead of the hostess standing at the door where she can be visible, she sits in a dark almost hidden corner by the door scrolling on her phone. The staff could be a little bit more attentive instead of gossiping about the boss and her husband being sighted out at a bar the other night omg. The ambiance is the star very cool date night vibes. I will say this I will think twice about going back. There was a customer at the bar who had a small dog with him. I'm all for pet friendly establishments but this was a bit too much tonight. The dog had its paws on the bar and it was licking the bar top at times. The staff said and did nothing about this. I believe he had to be a regular because everyone knew his and the dog's name. Honestly I felt so DISRESPECTED here. My group and I came in at 6:30 and was told it will be a 45 minutes wait. We put our name and number in their system and waited outside. We waited for over an hour having to find out THEY had crossed us out for some reason. We received a confirmation text but never received a text to say our table is ready. So my friend and I went up to the host stand and they said they couldn't find us but can get us a table now but we would have to be done by 9 for a reservation. It was almost 8. So you're gonna make us wait for one hour and then rush us to order and eat our dinner in one hour. They said they had no other options which I think is pathetic. I'm not new to going out to and working at restaurants. I know what kind of demeanor/service I am receiving. The hostess obviously does not like her job and the "manager" was hiding behind the podium then later "tried to help us" but really it felt like they were irritated by us because of THEIR own mistake. Little "manager" guy was not professional, didn't let me speak, does not know how to listen, does not know how to approach a situation correctly, does not know how to defuse a situation rather making us more irritated and pretty much showed he does not care, ignored and moved on to the people next to us. Hostess need to learn how to greet people with a smile and not look like you are forced to be there and hate your job. Restaurant look beautiful, food & drinks look good, but the front staff needs to be more professional and not blame the customers for your own mistake. This was all a 1-2 minute interaction, so to feel disrespected in that short period of time says a lot about the staff. read more

For starters, this place is SUPER CUTE. Great for a girls night, small birthday gathering or a nice date. I sat at the bar and it was cool. I sat on the patio side and no worries because they have heaters in the closed in patio area. My drink was bomb! I got a watermelon margarita with tajin around the rim and my bartender made it perfectly. Now for food, I got the appetizer chicken flautas without the toppings and I was not a fan at all. I was in Dallas for a sales trip and this place was recommended by a fellow attendee. A group of us decided to give it a whirl on a Tuesday night. This place gets packed so highly recommend making reservations if possible. We waited about 20 minutes and were sat. The entire staff was super nice and attentive. The inside of this place is AWESOME! I absolutely love the vibes here. The drinks were SO good. The food - WOW. Probably some of the best Tex max I've ever had. My entree was massive and I made sure to hold off on licking my plate. The churros were ordered for the group to share which I regret because I could have eaten them all myself. Not worth the 2+ hour wait, lack of parking, and terrible service. Vidorra, like many other Dallas restaurants, is all atmosphere appeal and upcharges compared to the lack of quality food. I have Vidorra 3 chances and was disappointed every time. On our last visit, they were out of cups and served my husband's margarita to him in a soup bowl (see attached photos). We went there at 7.30 on a Wed and it was not too busy. Even with a reservation, they won't seat you until everyone in the party is there. The hostess was not friendly but everything got better from there. The patio is beautiful and specious. Our server was super nice, smiley girl. I did not like their house marg, it was watery and tasteless. All the food we ordered was tasty, very flavorful! Loved the elotes, real thick cut fries and the green salsa. Ordered the queso blanco with ground beef, which was served in a molcajete bowl. This was EXTREMELY good, I could've just eaten that and been satisfied. Ordered the steak quesadilla - comes with a sauce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and a slaw - 10/10! Tried one of my friends birria tacos as well, delicious, and even better when dipped in the consommé. The whole aesthetic of the place is wonderful, especially outside. But the entire place is open, and you can see through to pretty much the entire restaurant. Next I am definitely interested in going a little later in the day to experience the nightlife part of it, but Vidorra is definitely on my "will go back to again" list! Having said that, every-time I call to place an order to go I'm met with laziness, the phone hanging up or it going straight to voicemail. They never answer the to-go phone. It's really dependent on how they feel. I was on hold for twenty minutes and was still on hold when I walked into the restaurant to place my order. We walked in the place and although there were three staff members standing at the door, no one greeted us. We stood there for a few minutes in which I then asked is there a place to write our names down or someone to seat us? One of the two ladies said the hostess would be with us soon. She then asked how many and I said three and she informed me that there was someone ahead of us in line. During this time the manager comes up to the stand and apparently they are having some issues with who section is whose as the sheet up front doesn't match the sheet in the back. Now at this point there are people coming in behind us but we are still all standing at the door. One of the employees asks for a telephone number and name so we can be placed on the wait list. At this point there are customers who have been seated already asking to speak to the manager, but we decide to wait it out. We take a seat by the window to wait and after 15 minutes and I can see PLENTY of available seats and even seats at the bar, I ask one of the ladies about how long is the wait? She looks annoyed at me and says "about 30 min or so" - by the way, the folks who came in after us have all been seated. At this point if feels like my business isn't wanted so we decide to leave. VIDORRA On Main Street is such a vibe!!!!! I was in town for a few days for the Dodgers rangers baseball series. I found Vidorra on TikTok( of course I did right?) The drinks here are a Vibeeeeeee!!!
