25. Vegetarian Vermicelli Bowl (Bun Chay)

Holy heck this place rocks! We got the vegetarian vermicelli and chicken pho and were so happy with it! The inside decor is super cool, the service is wonderful, the space is clean. Thank you for the good tastes and good vibes Viet Kitchen!

Food was great we loved the spring rolls and the sauce the best. The sandwich was very filling and meaty. The waiter recommended the pho special and replacing the meatballs with extra brisket or tri tip, we chose extra brisket and it was great. No complaints on the food. We wish they refilled our beverages which were empty the entire time. It was surprisingly very busy for a Wednesday lunch time but we didn't wait that long. The restaurant is very clean and plenty of seating. We will definitely come back.

Got the bbq pork rice plate takeout on yelp. They made it wrong at first but fixed it. They gave me the pork chop. The bbq pork was tender and flavorful. It came with a salad and some fish sauce on side. The meat was a bit on the fatty side for my preference but it was still pretty good. Will have to try another dish next time.

My bf and I have been here a few times and they're just becoming our regular Vietnamese restaurant. We tried different dishes every time. I personally recommend their Pho special (ask staffs for their bottle of fish sauce to add in your pho bowl is a game changer for me, thank me later!) Their chicken wing appertizer pretty tasty and legit as well. Spring rolls always hit the spot with the fresh shrimp and peanut sauce. I like their lychee jasmine tea with adjustment of less sweet (extra tea will do it). Don't forget to end your meal with their Flan dessert which is my favorite and it's seasonal since it's only written on the chalk boards when you walk in the restaurant. Customer service always fast, efficient and friendly. Love the lady owner there always have her smile on when she sees us. Will be back soon!

We ordered the oxtail soup pho, it was okay. The oxtail bone didn't have any flavor and actually tasted like cardboard. I was expecting something more delicious. Maybe next time, it would improve

FOOD: I ordered the Bun Bo Hue (spicy noodles). I love that you are able to choose whether you want rice noodles or egg noodles. I am an egg noodle girly lol. It was delicious! Perfect spice and they do still give you the veggies on the side along with a chili oil if you prefer it spicier. It was perfect with or without. Although, mid meal I noticed a fly in my soup. Most people would make it a huge deal but stuff happens. I let them know and they took care of it and I received a new bowl. Yes, it was gross but it is what it is. The only thing I wish they did was owners/managers come up and personally apologize but I guess at least the server did lol. Other than that one incident, we ordered bbq spring rolls, banh mi and a house special pho. Bbq spring rolls were good and so was the banh mi. Wish there was liver pate coz thats what makes it a banh mi but oh well. The pho felt like it was missing something in the flavor also not a lot of meats included but still a decent pho craving fix. SERVICE: The server was really nice. They were quick with getting our orders. Did not feel rushed at all. Quick to fix the issue we had. AMBIANCE: Cute little spot with nice decorations. Clean with high ceilings and good ventilation. Plenty of parking. Lots of tables and seatings. Theres a small bar area with high stools and high tables. I would still come back. I enjoyed the spicy noodle soup despite the minor gross incident lol. I would come back for that crispy pork belly banh mi too. That was yummy and the bread was nice and soft despite it being a baguette. Decent prices for the portions.

With cold and flu season upon us, I opted to boost my immunity with phō soup. When my regular spot in Santa Maria was closed on Wednesday I quickly searched for pho in the area to my surprise didn't know Viet Kitchen was close by. . Upon walking in, a young gentleman greeted us and asked if we were dining in and then told us to sit wherever we would like. We got a high top round table in the front of the restaurant near the bar. The space is clean, bright with oriental style lanterns and oil portraits on the wall. They had the World Series on and an anime show, good choices to watch. . The menu has several pages, but is simple and easy to read. I got a pot of the Jasmine green tea and chicken pho; my friends ordered the orange chicken and vegetarian phō. Everything came out at the same time. My soup was hot, but not piping and had a good ratio of ingredients to my broth. The tea is unsweetened and is a good pre and post meal drink. My friends cleaned their plates always a sign of a great meal. . Although the restaurant was maybe a third of the way full, they still get busy with online and to go orders. Either way, service was fair and the food was vibrant and refreshing. I'm happy I found this place and will frequent it often for all my phō needs!

I love the generous amount of proteins on their soups. I've been to some Pho place in the area and all I could say is that the soup here hits different! The staff are really friendly and accommodating, ambience is really good too! Can't stop coming to this place whenever i crave Pho!

This is the weirdest Chinese buffet I've ever been to. It looked so nice when you walked in, with…read morethe fountain with the koi fish in it. It was $23 per person with a 2 hour limit. We were walked to our booth and asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for a coke and Diet Coke. We were brought a coke and a sprite. 10 minutes later he took the sprite back and switched it out with the correct drink I asked. I was surprised that they used styrofoam plates...making so much waste. The buffet was...odd. Random Chinese food with American food and taquitos. The food didn't have proper name plates for them so it was kind of a guessing game, and the ones that did weren't even labeled correctly. The food was okay. Not the best Chinese food I've had. They were all cold by the time I went back to my booth. They had steamed bao buns with NOTHING in it. It was just the bun. The only good thing there was the sesame balls. The sushi bar seemed sketch, so I didn't get the sashimi. They had a kid probably 10 years old, working at the sushi bar, playing on his iPad. Is that even legal? It was just so random and all over the place. Random stars on the walls and in the bathroom. I won't come back and I won't recommend this place to anyone. I should have read the reviews before I came here. Not worth $23.

This was my first time trying this place. I've eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants across the…read morecountry, and my overall impression was that this felt more like a fast-casual or fast-food Vietnamese restaurant than a traditional sit-down experience. You order at the counter and are given a number. Since they weren't very busy, they brought the food to my table, which I appreciated. The prices were on the high side, though fairly typical for many Vietnamese restaurants in California. I ordered the pork platter with rice and fried egg rolls. The portion size was about right. The rice was fine--nothing particularly memorable. The pork was a generous serving and had visible grill marks, but it didn't seem freshly grilled. It appeared to have been grilled previously and then reheated. It was served hot, but the texture and presentation were not what I would expect from freshly grilled meat. Fresh off the grill would have made a noticeable difference. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside, but the filling was dry and fairly unremarkable. They weren't bad, but they weren't a standout item either. The plate also came with iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato, cucumber, and pickled carrot and radish. The cucumber was fine, while the pickled vegetables were a bit more sour than I prefer. The biggest surprise was the dipping sauce for the egg rolls. Instead of the typical Vietnamese dipping sauce, which is usually one of my favorite parts of the meal, this version had quite a bit of chili added and was much spicier than expected. Some people may enjoy that, but it wasn't what I was anticipating. Overall, the meal was good, but not memorable enough to justify going out of my way for it. The prices felt a little high given the fast-food atmosphere. If I happened to be in the area again, I might stop in and give it another try, but I wouldn't make a special trip to return.

Delicious Vietnamese food!…read more We were craving some comforting Asian food and this came up on our search. We were not disappointed. The chicken pho was clean tasting with the perfect balance of aromatics, herbs, and spices. The Vietnamese pork plate was a generous portion of marinated pork with a choice of egg rolls, eggs, or shrimp. We opted for the egg rolls. Both dishes tasted just as good as any place in OC and fulfilled our craving for comfort.
