We just ate here and it was a great experience. We got the spring rolls and the sauce was very tasty. The Viet Kitchen vermicelli was delicious, a good amount of meat and veggies. Again, the sauce went perfectly with the dish. We fully intend to eat here again. There was plenty of seating and the prices were good. There are some other reviews that complain about the prices so we were concerned but it looks like they have dropped them to very reasonable levels. read more

PHO YEAH! I am originally from the Silicon Valley area where there is a large Vietamese community. Find Pho is hardly a challenge. After moving to this area 10 years ago my husband and I discovered that this area was in dire need of a good Pho restaurant. I was super excited when I foiund out one was opening near our home. From the moment we entered I knew we were in for a treat. It smelled just like my favorite Pho place in San Jose. The restaurant was not busy and we were seated right away. The menu is simple and the prices are a little higher than I have paid for Pho in the past. I ordered a vermicelli salad and an order tofu spring rolls. My husband ordered a large bowl of pho and shrimp spring rolls. The food was served quickly with my husband's bowl steaming hot. My salad was fresh and the side of fish sauce (doesn't taste fishy) was fantastic! The peanut dipping sauce for the spring rolls was delicious. While dining the owner stopped by and chatted with us several times. We even got a quick tour of the kitchen!! The servers were friendly and I engaging. It was a treat to discover that they gave us a 15% military discount too! We will definitely return. read more

I came here the first time with a friend, but came in today and the tan waitress with a long ponytail just looked at us and said "sit yourselves" that's all she said. She proceeded to sit a family after us giving them menus. We waited 5 minutes and no one gave us any menus so we had to get up and get them ourselves another 5 minutes pass and someone finally comes around. I almost left, but my mom is a little more patient. Seeing everyone else get served around us left me a bit bitter. Nice place, good food. Just service needs help. read more

Pretty nice spot! My fiancé and I are pho-fanatics, so we were super excited about trying this place out. First and foremost, the venue was nice. It was pretty big, decor was nice, and it was clean! The broth was delicious! I'd say the pricing was a bit high for the amount of food we received. Service was so-so. Our waitress messed up on our order. We came late on a weekday so it def wasn't busy. Other than that, we would def go back because the pho itself was delicious! read more

My wife and I went and tried their pho (fuh) today and it was excellent! We also tried a bbq pork spring roll appetizer which was also outstanding! The peanut dipping sauce was amazing! We will have the spring roll appetizer every time we go back! It was delicious! We also had a flan for dessert which was also top notch! i finally created a yelp to give reviews on some restaurants in the area. So here goes. I have been here multiple times as it's on my drive home from work. The Pho broth has great flavor but I will say the meat portions have gone down to near nothing. My bowl was brought out with 2 meatballs and one piece each of tendon and brisket as I ordered the special. For the prices charged it should be served with more. The wait staff had always been extremely nice and conversational (I enjoy a good conversation with a beautiful girl after work) I went in last weekend and the waitress I usually talk with said she could not talk because the owner made some new rules. One being they can not talk with customers unless it's about the food or restaurant. I looked around and there were 2 other patrons and 2 other waitresses. The waitress said "I know, I'm looking for another job" If you ask me this is just bad business since wait staff's attitude and conversation brings back repeat customers. I was sitting at the bar and could see right into the kitchen. Food prep was being done with bare hands and nobody was wearing hair nets. A woman in the back looked to be wearing pajamas and then 3 children were also back there hanging out and eating. I heard coughs coming from the back, I hope not onto my food. I asked the waitress how clean it was in back and she said there's ants and food sitting in containers on the floor. This is too bad because the place is well decorated and spacious. Really has potential to be a happening spot. I filed a concern with the health department. Hopefully the owners will address my concerns. Also when the waitress was taking my order the owner came out from the back and yelled in her face "food food food" she looked humiliated and then turned and went to the back and brought out food. She must have forgotten about me because I sat waiting for 10 munuites before she unapologetically came back Update;;; stopped in here for a mandatory work meeting Tuesday night. Service was terrible. Food wasn't about all the hype, pho broth was bland. Place had an odd vibe. Not much has changed from the last times. Still disappointed. Took almost 30 min to get my food and it was not busy at all. read more

Went for the first time since opening- good service and good Pho. I was very excited to finally see that Orcutt was getting a Vietnamese restaurant and Viet Kitchen didn't disappoint. My only complaint would be upon arriving the restaurant was playing music but it was extremely loud, I ended up being seated at the back of the restaurant near the bathrooms as an attempt to escape the speakers since I wanted to converse with members in my group. They did turn the music down but since that space is so large and sound travels easily it didn't help much. read more

I would give it 75% rating for Authentic Vietnamese PHO tasting. Reasons are: for $12.50 bowl portion bit small, missing tripe and it came with sauté chilies and not hoisin sauce. My opinion, Al pho were better taste and price for me! Would give them 90% on cleanliness and decorations. Would go back again and retry Viet kitchen for another higher reviews. I have eaten here at least two times a week since opening day, always a pleasure. The food was great and service was excellent. I always saw the same three waitresses. This weekend i went for lunch and there was a new waitress, not too friendly. I watched her while she served our waters and she was picking up the limes with her bare fingers and putting them in the ice water! This was after she just bussed a table. Also there was a hair in my food when the same waitress brought it out. I asked her name and she said Wren. I hope management addresses this because i know i wont be back. Im sure other patrons witnessed the same. Cleanliness is always first priority when i dine out. read more

First time here and have to say wasn't disappointed. The Vietnamese salad option #23 was my choice while Mom and Dad opted for house Pho...so good. And the fried chicken appetizer was well done..can't wait to come back and try one of the rice bowls read more
