We definitely needed some more quick Lunch options around this side of the area. This place is perfect for a quick lunch. Be aware that this place Is not your regular pho Vietnamese place but a quick grab ons. I love the fact that they have quiet a good number of varieties. I went with shrimp egg roll and grilled chicken sandwich. The egg roll was decent but when it arrived on plate it was steaming hot. So I know that it was made to order and I was impressed. The chicken Banh mi had my heart. The chicken was juicy and the sandwich was delicious. I would definitely have it again. They have quiet a good Number of options be it the fried chicken, noodles or even the Vietnamese coffee. I would definitely try it out. The service was quick and the price is reasonable. Being a vegetarian the choices are very limited for me in most places, and lot of compromise on flavor and taste. However Viet Shack would score 10/10 in options, flavors and cost. My husband got a fried chicken rice plate and I got tofu with stir fried veggies (white rice or fried rice option). The portions were very good and the food tasted amazing. Just thinking of writing this review makes me crave Vietshack! Their spring rolls are my go-to - soooo good! And I was craving a banh mi on one visit, but with no gluten-free bread, they went above and beyond and offered to do it on a lettuce wrap! And it was gloriously wonderful! So the next time I visited, I ordered it again... and honestly, this is my new standard for what a banh mi should be! Five stars alone for this! I was visiting with family in Tempe and we got takeout from here. I can't speak to the interior of the restaurant because I didn't see it, but order and pickup were very speedy. My tofu Banh Mi was delicious and so were the crab rangoon. We also got shrimp Goi Cuon which I didn't try because I was full, but it also looked very good! I live 45-50 minutes away and I've been craving Banh Mi now every since! I'll have to return soon. read more

This newly opened establishment is a much needed diverse cuisine on the Priest Dr / Elliot Rd intersection. For it's first day being opened it indices my need for Vietnamese food. This isn't a place that serves Pho and I don't really care. That's average and boring and such a cliche order. I had a delicious Pork Belly Sub sandwich with the House Chips along side an order of Pork Egg Rolls served with a light Fish sauce/broth. The bread roll had a satisfying crackle sound. One of the best grilled pork bahn mis that I've had. They packed this bahn mi with pork and I love how they got it a little crispy as well. Flavor was amazing and the bread and veggies were fresh. If I came here just to get the bahn mi they would be 5 starts for sure however we ordered a couple other dishes such as the vermicelli bowl and chicken wings which I thought were just okay. The chicken wings needed a little more flavor and I wish there was a better sauce for the vermicelli bowl. If I never had Vietnamese food before the rice plate is filling and good enough to come back for. The pho, however is deceptive - smells great but the taste is watery and lacking.

This is not a shack by any stretch of the imagination. The menu accommodates many dietary restrictions. The spring rolls are fresh and savory. There were way too many noodles in it so it became thick and pasty. The server did not understand my request for my spring rolls to come out with the soup, so they came out first.
