I have been a patron of Vig Deli for quite some time. But today, my view has changed about the quality of their food. I ordered tuna melt. As I took a bite of the second half of the sandwich, I chewed on something weird. It was plastic! I was so disgusted and disappointed so I brought it to the attention of the people at the food counter. All that the person said was that "would you like another one?" To which I said, No, I wanted to let them know about the disappointing quality of their food. The only response I got was, I'll tell the people who prepared it. Located by the sports bar at M Casino Las Vegas it is a great place to have some awesome food and or sandwiches for which I have eaten there many times. Just got done after a looooooong day of auditions and seminars, grabbing some quick food to take up to our room. My only issues were the long line, with one cashier but she was very friendly and answered questions, and the strong cigarette smoke from the casino floor, food takes awhile to get but it is made to order so that is to be expected and did not disappoint in flavor. Whenever I'm in Vegas I always hit up one of the cheap steaks around town that sell for less than $10. I recently found out about Big Deli at the M. They have a steak and eggs special that runs for $6.99 on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 11 pm. If you've gone to South Point, you're familiar with their setup. It's much different here. It's not a waiter service restaurant. You walk up to a register, order your food, then they call you when it's finished. It comes with the 7 oz steak, two eggs of your choosing, small potato wedges, and two pieces of toast. The meal itself is amazing. Like I said, I always come and get it whenever I'm in Vegas. My boyfriend and I used to come here at least twice a week because of the great coupons that the M Resort would send out each month. They still send out coupons but now instead of buy one and get one free, it $5.00 off your purchase. It's still a good deal, though, since most of their items like their sandwiches are between $9.99 and $11.99. It is located inside the M Resort and we decided to eat here after doing a little bit of gambling. I wasn't having much luck at the poker machines and figured I would do better on a full stomach. We both ordered the footlong Nathan hot dog, Chicago style, which was $4.99 each. I always scrape off the onions but eat everything else. We've ordered the hot dog before and sometimes the bun falls apart but it didn't happen on this occasion which was a plus! This place also has desserts and I believe the desserts are from Baby Cakes... we almost got a cookie but I'm trying to be good... I had a lot of sweets earlier in the day. By the way, the wait for the food is never long. You order and pay the cashier and wait for your number to be called. I think the longest I ever had to wait was 15 minutes but that was on a very busy afternoon and we ordered a whole pizza. Fortunately, Vig Deli is a pretty good place to satisfy an appetite. Forget about Hash House A-Go-Go...the food there is pretentious and the flavors are lacking. If Studio B is bustling then the best alternative has got to be Vig Deli unless you have a nice suit on and have an incredibly beautiful date with you, then I'd go to one of The M Resort's fancier eating establishments. I come here only when they send me $25 coupon once in a while. There are always a lot of waiting in line to get free food (Me, too). Can't complain about the food because I'm getting it for free but last time when I ordered Cobb salad, they only put 3 tiny pieces of chicken in it and forgot to put bacon. I love this place because it is quick and easy, but yet their food is very delish, and does not have the same quality as a fast food. We came here when my friends got the drunchies. For a deli inside a casino, it's really not that bad. My friend ordered the reuben, which was honestly really good. The salty pastrami on a toasted bread, topped with sauerkraut that was actually sour, and not sweet. It was a bit too greasy for me, and I kind of felt the grease sitting in my stomach afterwards, BUT for the moment that I bit into it and ate the bite of sandwich, it was really good. My boyfriend ordered the pastrami sandwich, which was okay. The bread wasn't toasted, so that already downgrades the sandwich. Withy a bit of mustard though, it's quite good. The pickle on the side was sour and delicious, giving it a refreshing kick. We also ordered the fries topped with Texas beef chili and cheese. The chili wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't the best. It was more of a soup-y chili consistency, and therefore was more liquidy than appropriate with the french fries. The fries themselves weren't too bad, but unfortunately it soaked up the liquidy chili and got soggy. Another downside of the chili was that it was served on a basket covered with paper. Result: forks stab the bottom of the basket, creating holes, and therefore causing the chili to seep out the bottom. Poorly thought out, that's for sure. Great drunk food, but probably not so great food for when you're sober. read more

Have I forgotten how big a 1/4 pd really is? If I was supposed to order by the numbers, well I already screwed up by saying "1 hot dog, please." At any rate, it was tasty and at least know that the hot dog is safe there. My friend had a basket of fries and I even split the hot dog with her. If you ever find yourself hungry at the Palms late night. Anywhere from I believe 10 p.m. is when the big restaurants close down but don't fret. For me it was around 2 a.m. I was hungry for a burger and I was not going to accept anything less, however I did not think anything would be open with a burger available other than McDonald's which I do not fancy. So I heard that the Vigs deli serves cheeseburgers which I was skeptical at first because it's a deli, and not a burger joint. Upon arrival I see the menu and it is stocked, it's not a normal Deli, it's also a bar and grill so you can get beer there and burgers it's much more than the deli. Matter of fact: I didn't see one deli sandwich on there so I don't know what's going on. When I got my food it was everything that I had hoped. The burger was hands down one of the best burgers I've had in Vegas the french fries were a bit soggy but still good. My bacon cheeseburger was phenomenal and it was only $12 it was gigantic I could not finish it I had to take half of it home I would recommend putting barbecue sauce on the bacon cheeseburger it's fire. The wait for food doesn't take that long either and the portions are big. Recently, I ordered a bbq pulled pork sandwich with fries and there was so much pulled pork that it spilled out and I had to eat most of it with a fork. I'm not complaining about that though. Personally this place needs a lot of work with its flow and getting people moving through the line. The highlight of my visit was when I got to the front of the line after waiting about 25 minutes the line was closed because the kitchen was behind. And while waiting you could totally tell everybody in the kitchen was looking like whales in the tanks at sea world with the face "let me out !" Like I said the highlight; I was eating here cause my blood sugar was low. When the line was halted I kinda was confused and the woman said I can't help you, unless you're diabetic or something. I was like I actually am. And she was insisting on giving me chips or a soda so I didn't "pass out"(her words not mine) but obviously I wouldn't pass out . I had waited 25 minutes what's another 15 .... but the thought and awareness of knowing I was a diabetic and knowing what that means was very special to me . I had walked around the casino looking for quick food to eat. The deli even though the line is horrendous and takes forever , seemed like the quickest option. I've walked by the deli every time I've been in this casino , but it's literally always long as shit . So I never ate here. But knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel was very much appreciated ! It seems this QSR needs some help with runners , or organization on the food rail. They cannot keep up with demand. They use a number system via a loud speaker but it only reaches in the "deli" area so if your in the bar or the betting area you're not gonna hear that. But you can have a server walk it over to you. But that server has to literally walk through the kitchen to get food. Which seems to be a health code violation since those same servers bring that food to the table and touch hands . I watched a couple servers walk through the kitchen. No hand wash no nothing just tryna move food. Which is rather odd . They need to get a big number board so people can see the numbers being called as well as the servers so they can come up to the window instead of going to the food rail. As well as the customers would be better informed and not crowd the window making it hard for the servers to get their food too. The utensils and ketchup and mustard is behind the place where you pick up the food but the napkins are at the window still so if you forget the napkins your going right back in the "hot" zone. Another bad planning idea. It should be away from that area. That area should just be for picking up food and all the other misc stuff should be far away. To separate the pack. The food was good, my blood sugar was low so I just enjoyed having a warm complex carb to raise my BG . I've probably eaten here 50 times. Seriously. You never know if you'll be able to walk up to the counter to place your order, or if you'll be standing in a long line to do so. If the line is long, they will usually operate two cash registers. They used to have an Italian Chopped Salad which was great. For some reason, they've removed that from their menu. Hubby and I will often split a Hot Pastrami sandwich. Onion Rings haven't been good the last several times; they've been too hot to eat; greasy; and, once they are cool enough to eat, bland. I've had the Chicken Fingers several times lately. If the Cashier doesn't ask you, be sure to specify that you want Buffalo; otherwise, depending on who is working the cash register, you'll end up with plain Chicken Fingers which, in my opinion, are not good. Neither Hubby nor I like their pizza but a lot of people take out pizza. I sometimes have to pay to eat here (buy one, get one) but most of the time, my meals have been comped. The Cashiers are great about ensuring you use your entire Dining Credit. Kitchen staff are personable. There is one Cashier who is fabulous; the others are very good; and there is one who I think is from another planet. Fountain drinks are pricey: Three dollars each as I recall. WOW! The sandwiches here are off the hook! Not expected considering it's sitting inside of a mega resort. My wife had a club sandwich and I had a pastrami sandwich. Both were excellent! The bread was fresh, the meats were utterly tender, and oh so flavorful. You get a whole pickle with your sandwich, not just a spear. Here's a tip if you want your sandwich quicker. Have a drink at the 32 bar right next door and order your food from there. It took less than ten minutes for our sandwiches to get to us after we ordered them.
