Already digging into this huge slice of cheesecake - soooooo good!
    Pawnee Rick T.

The Del Mar Deli is a great place to stop for a snack when visiting the South Point. It has a wide menu selection ranging from deli subs, pizzas, breakfast sandwiches, and soups to finger foods, bagels, baked goods, mouthwatering pastries and desserts. There seriously is something for everybody here! Your order is placed (and delivered) at their walk-up counter, but the deli includes an adjacent seating area where you can sit down while waiting for your order. During peak dining hours, this area can get a little congested (and messy from those above using the self-busing bins), but there are signs discouraging casino "campers" from utilizing the space for an impromptu lounge. Usually, the dining space is clean. I spent my wait time - about 10 minutes - watching staffers slice a variety of fresh Boar's Head meats for sandwiches on order (and second-guessing my own order after seeing all the great things being created or displayed behind glass). Wait times do vary, and there's even a posted sign on the counter warning of orders taking up to 30-minutes - but all sandwiches are freshly made and that would cover grilled steaks and pizzas doubtlessly taking longer during peak eating hours. When it's time for a break from gambling and the bustle of the casino floor, the Del Mar Deli is a wonderful spot to grab a quick bite. I'd recommend it especially if meeting up with friends because the menu variety ensures even the pickiest patron will find something.

This place is on fire!! A HOT spot inside South Point casino. My friend & I were hanging out the other night at the Sports Bar for a ladies Meetup, some of the girls had come over here to order food to bring back to the table & things looked sooooo yummy. My friend Yolanda & I decided to head over (once the long line died down....place gets busy!) & order something to eat. They have a decent size menu with lots of choices. I had to make up my mind between a couple of items. OMG their dessert selection is crazy! HUGE portions & great prices. I went with a sugar cookie (see photo), it was kinda hard with a light sugar taste. I've had better but it was still edible. I ended up going with a grilled ham & cheese on sourdough bread & Yolanda got a grilled cheese on Rye bread. They came with these crunchy (not too hard) tasty french fries. I can't believe I never took a pic of our sandwiches & fries?!?!?!?!?! We were starving & too busy chowing down on our food. Cashier was very nice & friendly. Food didn't take long so we waited close by. I will definitely be back to try something different, maybe their chicken fingers??? LOVE this place!

Grabbed a slice of pizza and order of mozzarella sticks for a snack here since our favorite hot dog cart was closed. The mozzarella sticks were the best and very good, and the pizza was also good. Overall, we had another good experience here.

This is always reliable and food is piping hot and fresh! The corn beef...pastrami reuben....matzoh ball soup...cannoli...bagels...so so good. I will be back again and again...

Food is so fresh, made to order. We tried this place twice. One for a dinner snack, Got the ham sandwich. Delicious if you ask me. Came with a potato salad (that was pretty dry) My husband got a chicken sandwich with fries. He said it was good too. The next morning, I came in for the jalapeño cheddar bagel breakfast sandwich. Did not disappoint! It was so gooey, cheese and delicious!!! Highly recommend! Unfortunately I didn't get to try any of their desserts, but I will next time I'm in town.

I've had mixed experiences here. Their bagels are very good, crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. Their scallion cream cheese has fresh scallions and is addicting! Today we had a couple desserts to go, the Boston cream cake and cinnamon bun. I was hoping the cinnamon bun would be gooey and tender but it was dry even in the middle and I only tried a bite before giving up on it. The Boston cream cake is pretty good, it has chocolate chips inside and a cream layer between layers of white cake and chocolate on top. I've had their cheesecake, which is very good. It seems hit or miss depending on what you order. The service is always fast and friendly and they work to get the food out as quickly as possible even when it's busy. There is a good variety of desserts so everyone can probably find something they'd like.

I returned from a couple of days ago so I can try something from the bakery. I got the pistachio cake. It was dead on tasting like pistachio very delicious moist a good choice especially if you like pistachio. I wanna try another one now so many I think that cake was $8.95 I also got the New York style pepperoni pizza, thin crust so freaking amazing you're from New York and you're craving the authentic. This is very much close to it being on the West Coast.. the service is very good. Employees seem to be very knowledgeable about the food. The ambience is it to go so there's always a line and remember any 25 minutes for your order. I will return again so I could try something else.

After a disappointing experience at the Coronado Café, my husband and I decided to stop at Delmar deli to order sandwiches to go for dinner. I've been here in the past so I knew the sandwiches would be good. The pastrami is amazing, definitely one of the best in town. I saw them pull the meat right out of the smoker and slice it fresh for my sandwich. They also have a nice variety of sandwiches, bagels, breakfast and desserts. I definitely recommend coming here if you want to get something quick and good.

We were over at the bar area watching the football game and we were getting hungry while drinking beers . I saw this cool deli with pizza, sandwiches and desserts and lots of people. Must be good if there's a line, right?? Sure enough it was. We had the corn beef sandwich. Fresh tasty meat stacked thick. I must say it was one of the best sandwiches I've eaten in years. There was a few tables nestled there. I took ours back to the bar area tables. People said their pizzas were good too. I'm going back here again the next time I'm in town.

Be prepared for a wait! If you like baked goods straight out of a NY deli in Vegas in large portion sizes, this is where it's at. I got the rainbow cookie and it was probably one of the best rainbow cookies that I've ever had. The ambiance is that of a ny deli counter tucked in the corner of the South Point casino. If you are there and looking for a sweet treat or a sandwich, check it out!

While staying at South Point Hotel one of the restaurants I visited was Del Mar Deli. I love their bagel sandwich with egg and bacon. I love how the thick bacon.

    Morgan B.

The desserts are why we waited in line for twenty minutes and it was well worth the waite. We picked up lemon bars and rainbow cookies to share. If you have a sweet tooth and love Italian baked goods best lemon bars ever. Sadly it was late at night and the person infront of us took the last flan.

    Egg Salad Sandwich

Food is always amazing here! To be fair I get the egg salad sandwich usually. The desserts are so tasty and the matzo ball soup is so divine. It's perfectly salted and flavorful. I love the rosemary in the broth. Service is always so quick and convenient, very consistent and orders are never lagged. The quality of the food shows. The ambiance is deli friendly, lots of tables and very clean.

I know something is legit good, when I try it once, fantasize about how good it was, then come back again, and it's EQUALLY as good as the first time. After trying this spot the first time, I came back 2 more times within a week. The price be a bit steep at $16-$17 a sub sandwich. I usually can only finish a 6 inch off of a footlong subway sandwich. But here, imma eat all of it cuz it's so damn good. Chicken- 5/5. I make sure to only order if I can eat it on the spot to avoid the salad from getting soggy. Flavor is soooo good. Deli- 5/5. Might not be the same as an Italian sub, but, it's still super good. Beef- 5/5. I like this one a lot. Sometimes they be inconsistent with the pickles onions, which balances out the meats. The potato sticks loses its crunch if you eat it after leaving it in the fridge for 8 hours so best to eat it within a few hours max. I'm usually a huge fan of tuna sandwich and have yet to try it out. Same with caprese. Lines can look a bit intimidating and definitely recommend ordering for pickup, which is the quickest way. I'm also a sucker for French baguette. And man, they have mastered the bread as well. Oh, also their dressing for the salad. I dunno what the heck it's made of, but it's a cross between poppy seed dressing with the sweetness combined with a slight mustard/vinaigrette flavor. Hope they open more locations in other parts of town. Also, the cashier wears this beret and seriously his outfit and vibe looks like a "golden boy." I don't even know what that means but, if there was a photo of a golden boy, his hat and outfit fits the vibe.

Please excuse my profanity but holy (insert expletive), this place may have ruined sandwiches for…read moreme from here on out. It has officially set the bar that every other sandwich shop now has to match. I was nodding in disbelief so many times during our meal that I probably had the staff wondering whether I hated it. The only part I truly hated was that the meal eventually had to end. This place knows the art of a sandwich. Even the experience of eating it helps bring everything together. Sure, the phone eats first (go ahead and take those photos), but once that's done put it down and get in on the fun. You're gonna need both hands to hold your sandwich. The paper underneath becomes a landing pad for all the sandwich overflow, only for you to stack it right back onto the next bite. Then the drippings at the bottom become a bread dip. Nothing goes to waste. If you aren't using all ten of your fingers while eating your sandwich, you're doing it wrong. The Deli had such a great balance of acid and fat between the cold cuts, vinegar, and shredduce. Nothing overpowered anything else, and every bite had a little bit of everything. And the bread was so damn good. It held everything together while still soaking up all the juices and drippings. The Chicken Caesar was just as good in a completely different way. The chicken breast was juicy and made a great base for everything on top. The shredduce was dressed with a house-made Caesar dressing where you could actually taste the anchovy, which I mean as a compliment. It was dressed just enough to give it that salty, savory Caesar flavor without taking away from the freshness and crunch of the lettuce. Then there was the house-made chili oil and shallot crisp topping, which added heat and crunch without taking over the sandwich. This place understands that a great sandwich is about more than just quality ingredients. It is about the ratios, the textures, the mess, and all the little pieces that fall out and somehow make the next bite even better. I'm already looking forward to coming back.

It smelled heavenly, but the real magic happened when I put the fork in the bunch! Smokin' Sammich Is one of those places that's tucked in the back of a shopping center. But I'm telling you right here and now it is absolutely worth the hunt! I had read about this place online, saw some Instagram posts about it and decided it was about time for me to try it for myself. This is not one of those quick little snack places, this is when you are seriously hungry and need something to keep the wolf from the door. Everything looked so amazing on the menu, I really didn't know what to do. I opted for the bowl with noodles and rice, brisket, I paid extra to have the side of grilled pork belly, and it also came with a couple of egg rolls. I jumped into the egg rolls first, they were so good. At first I was a little put off because they seem so small, but in this case big things come in small packages! Packages! And the dipping sauce for the rolls, top notch! I had to use a lot of restraint, because I wanted to dig right in, but I wanted to taste the meat on its own, as that is the mark of a really good barbecue. I'll just say this, I would put this meat up against anyone in a competition! The brisket was fall apart tender, had great bark on it, and had just the right amount of smoke. It was still moist, and so flavorful. The pork belly was absolutely amazing. Like the brisket had great bark on it but was tender, and juicy on the inside. All I could think about while I was eating it was how awesome it would be on a cheeseburger. Let's talk about the rice and noodles. Most bowls use rice and or noodles as an afterthought. More of just a base to lay the meat on. Not this place. The rice was some of the best I've ever had. Had just the right amount of stickiness, and definitely tasted like it was just fresh cooked then and there. Same thing with the noodles. Absolutely flavorful and a great side dish. Okay, let's talk sauce. I brought home some of the spicy barbecue, as I like a little bit of heat with my sauce. And this one delivers in spades! Super delicious. Had just the right amount of heat at the back of my throat, and really complimented the meat without overpowering it. You could put this on the pork belly, the brisket or an old shoe.. anything would taste good with this sauce! Since I had rice, I knew I was going to want some of their teriyaki sauce. Wow! Just wow! You can tell this is not out of a jug from Costco. This stuff is homemade right there! Much like the spicy barbecue sauce, this had a little bit of a surprise kick to it. Definitely not overpowering and was an absolute joy to put on the rice and the noodles! Bottom line? This is going to be my go-to sandwich place for the rest of my life. I cannot wait to go back and try everything on the menu at least once. If you were ever in the area and you didn't stop by to get something here, then shame on you!
