The restaurant itself was clean, calm, and welcoming, and the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. They do offer gluten-free buns, which was exciting to see at first. When I asked about the meats though, the person at the counter let me know that their meat options aren't gluten-free. Since I have Celiac disease, that meant I wasn't able to order anything. I did appreciate how straightforward and accommodating the staff were about it. They answered my questions without hesitation, which is always helpful when navigating gluten-free dining. Even though I couldn't eat there, the place looked well run and the atmosphere was nice. I'd still recommend it if gluten isn't a concern.

My kid had a hot pastrami sandwich. Let me start by saying that my sandwich was not only perfect, but it was massive. Expensive? Yes. But I more than got what I paid for. This felt like it was right around a pound of meat absolutely massive, it's 7 hours later and I am not even close to hungry. Great value here! Staff is friendly too. Basic interior, nothing fancy here. But the good is great. I highly suggest you order at the counter, not the kiosk, they have a ton of stuff not on the menu on the kiosk! J.Ja

Their menu features a large selection of sandwiches so I just ordered the one at the top, the Dinty Moore on rye, and it was an excellent choice. The sandwich was perfectly constructed, fresh, and absolutely delicious. For just $2 more, I added a small bag of chips and a can of Faygo, making for a great value meal. I enjoyed it right there in the cozy, quaint shop, nestled by the window in their charming seating area. The restaurant was very clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated the cash discount. Parking was easy with a free lot, which is always a plus. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely be stopping back whenever I'm in the area again! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality sandwich with a great price and service.

Even though Chelios chili is closed downtown, they still sell their chili in frozen bags. I added a pop and chip combo for $2. Total was $24 which I know is kind of expensive for a lunch, but the sandwich and chili were REALLY EXCELLENT AND I SAVORED EVERY BITE. The pop and chip combo reminded me of childhood days growing up in Detroit. I SHALL RETURN to try their other sandwiches as well as coney dogs. Service was polite and friendly. Dining area was clean and comfortable. Restroom was IMMACULATE!

Side Chic's blows them out of the water along with every other spot in Detroit/Dearborn (Savvy Sliders, Checkers, KFC, Chic Fil A, Chick N Kingz etc.) The breading on the tenders is very, very flavorful. They also put the perfect amount of breading on each tender. I absolutely hate overbreaded tenders where it feels like you're chewing through multiple layers till you hit chicken. Side Chic's avoids this completely by having a nice layer of breading that adds flavor and doesn't distract from the chicken. The chicken itself is hot, juicy and well textured. This is not rubbery, dry chicken. The only other way I can describe it is it just tastes fresh. I was thoroughly impressed. Side Chic's is a carry out spot that's open very, very late (which is awesome). Everyone who works there is incredibly pleasant and helpful. Also, even though the chicken is fresh and made to order, your food comes out in a fairly quick manner. I really can't say enough good things about Side Chic's. Best Chicken Tenders I've had in the Detroit/Dearborn area!

I came recently and the fries, fried pickles, and sauces were all great! The chicken was still okay, but not seasoned the same way as before. Still moist and tender tho. There's was oil all over the boxes though and staining like a seventh (or 14-18%) of the paper bag. That's a lot. The box was dripping oil. Tasted great other than comparing the chicken to the first time. i'm confused about the lack of reviews. I'm thinking I have the wrong page...

Walking in, there was very limited seating and about an hour wait, which clearly showed how popular this spot is. Thankfully, the hostess told us about their basement bar area where you can grab drinks and snacks while waiting. The downstairs area had such a cool speakeasy vibe dark ambiance, vinyl music playing, and honestly the perfect date night atmosphere. The drinks were REALLY good, and you can also order appetizers down there. Once we made it upstairs, we grabbed bar seating and talked to a few people around us who all said this was their favorite spot. Our bartender was amazing -- super attentive, explained the menu well, and gave great recommendations. We ordered the wings (perfectly seasoned and so good) and the chicken sandwich with buffalo added for a little spice... absolutely delicious. I also tried the pistachio martini, and wow definitely one of my favorite drinks I've had in a while. Overall, such a great experience from the atmosphere to the food and service. I'll definitely be back, and I've already been telling all my friends about this place!
