It was nice to be able to take mom from memory care to the assisted living cafeteria and have a meal with family and friends. We even had mom's 90th at Felicita. I hope this helps you decide on the care for your parents. It's not an easy job and both Vista Del Lago and Felicita Vida were great help when we needed assistance.

When she reported it, they used trickery, deceit, lying tactics, manipulation to get her to change her mind. But my mom had written notes, remained steadfast on what happened -she was assaulted by med tech Veronica, and they tried to cover it up. We then reported it to the state of CA (omsbudman) and Ivy Park Escondido staff retaliated against my mom and me. Ooooh, they're good. Alicia, the new director, yells at me on the phone, while being all sweet and smiles to my mom. Adrianna, from corporate- the regional nursing supervisor from Redlands interviewed my mom acting like my mom's friend, being sweet and nice. But she also tried to trick my mom and said she had the wrong date. My mom didn't back down. The next day Adrianna was incredibly rude to me. All of the 'upper' management, have been acting childish, immature, and wanting to pick fights with my mom and me since she reported the assault. Then they tried to give her an anti-psychotic (Seroquel) that she doesn't even take!! Stay away from this mad house. You'll be sorry like we are that we gave them so much money. But I'm taking them out of there and I'll tell anyone about staying away from this Crazy Town.

Notably, Julie was invaluable in helping us illuminate an injury missed by the hospital and address it. Beyond that, she was simply an awesome human. Home cooked meals and a very clean environment. It was also important that mom and dad could be kept together in the same room. They also work with Hospice, so mom was able to stay in familiar surroundings and not have to be moved to a nursing home. I highly recommend them!

Not sure why did it happen. Does marketing team at Casa work for another non-profit CCRC at Phoenix, AZ? Hard to say, but clearly something wrong is going on at Casa. Update: I've been contacted by Casa, short time after posting this review. Added two stars for that. But another CCRC remains a mistery here.

The place is clean and there seems to be a lot of activities available. I've eaten at their dining hall a few times, and it's pretty good. Smaller portions. You can always order more food. Note that you (family members) get free food the first week of your relatives' stay. Then you have to buy a food ticked at the front desk. It's not located in a sketchy part of Escondido, but it's also next to a busy street. Staff members seem to know everyone's name by heart.

She has consistently encouraged me to elevate my performance, challenged me to grow professionally, and inspired me to always deliver my best work. Her support extends beyond me to every staff member. Her door is always open, and she is always willing to provide guidance, encouragement, and assistance whenever needed. I have known Loucinda since she worked as a caregiver on the night shift. Through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, she advanced to Med Tech and eventually became our RSD. Throughout her journey, she remained committed to the community and continued giving her all, even during challenging times. Since her promotion, positive changes have steadily taken place throughout our community. I am truly thankful to have such a compassionate and dedicated leader supporting our team. I would also like to thank our Executive Director, Marie Hill. She consistently greets everyone with a friendly face and fosters a warm, welcoming environment. The staff is flush with top notch caretakers in what is clearly a challenging environment. Marie, Rosa, Loucinda, Jennifer, Amanda, Summer, Erick, William, Raven, Antonio, and so many others (I'm sorry to not remember everyone's names right now... and yes I mean you), I am truly grateful for how well you care for my aunts, Irene and Karol, as part of your family too. Beyond that, the large outdoor patio space is park-like toward the back, and perfect for our weekly get-togethers, EVERY time we are there, more than one of the staff will help us, or stop by to say hello. It is a credit to the team to all be so personable and professional in, again, a challenging environment. Thank you!
