Villa Capri is one of the greatest Italian family restaurants I've ever been to. Villa Capri is located on the water, the outdoor seating is lovely. It's a perfect place to hold weddings and other large gatherings. The staff are kind and they always refill our drinks without fail. For those who love wine, Villa Capri has a section of fine quality wine. The appetizer selection consists mostly of sea food and fish, so if you're allergic or just hate that stuff (like me), you're better off skipping appetizers here. The pasta dishes and chicken plates were my family's favorites. Their salad bar is lacking, though. If you're allergic or just hate mushrooms (like me), avoid their Italian dressing. It's got mushrooms stepped in it. YUCK! The prices are a little expensive, but the quality of Italian cuisine and great service makes up for that. Villa Capri offers catering. I'd love to dine here again.

The food here is pretty good for South Houston area Italian. Nice to sit outside and look at the water. Service was a bit slow.

I ordered a meal that arrived undercooked, so much so that the dough was still raw in the middle. It wasn't just slightly underdone it was doughy and inedible. I brought it to the staff's attention & I was told to order something else, and then I was charged for the replacement meal, which cost nearly twice as much as my original order. There was no discount, no adjustment, and no effort to make up for the mistake. In the end, we paid significantly more because the restaurant served an inedible meal. That's simply not acceptable. The one bright spot was our server. She was friendly, attentive, and did everything she could to help. This experience is in no way a reflection of her service she was wonderful. The issue was entirely with how the heck am I paying double for my meal that was wrong. Unfortunately, the lack of quality control and poor customer service in resolving the problem means I won't be returning. When a restaurant makes a mistake, customers shouldn't have to pay extra because of it. Oh and let me add that apparently we weren't the first person to complain about it & it look super long.

Along with that, I ordered the garlic cheese bread (with mozzarella on top) and finished with the tiramisu for dessert. The cilantro chicken pasta was every bit as good as the pictures an easy 10/10. It was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and had plenty of chicken. A lot of restaurants skimp on the meat, but not this place. The cheesy garlic bread was good as well. My only suggestion would be to toast it a little longer so it has more of that crispy texture. The tiramisu was also a 10/10 when it came to flavor. My only disappointment was the portion size. It was about the size of a small party dessert serving, much smaller than what I'd expect from a restaurant. I really hope they increase the portion because the taste was fantastic. Overall, the staff was very friendly, the restaurant was clean, and it has a cozy, intimate atmosphere that's perfect for a date night. Despite the small dessert portion, the food was outstanding, and I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

My girlfriend would rate 4-5/5! Espresso: my girlfriend loveddddd it!! She would do 4-5/5 and I would say around 3-3.5. I wish it were chocolaty-er but my gf wouldn't change a thing. Michael our server was top notch and paid attention. Timing and delivery were spot on. Only gripe is that their by the glass sparkling wine is definitely a prosecco not champagne. Also they were out of Gulf Oysters which they offer at a great price. The other option is a significantly smaller and more expensive northern oyster that pales in comparison to a big Gulf oyster. The food: 2 of my companions ordered crab cake entrees and they were the best crake cake we have ever had. I was stealing off their plates the entire time. Even the remoulade was note-worthy. Best crab cake in the Houston area, hands dawn. Also it came with carrots. I thought CARROTS? They were out of this world. Everyone ate all their carrots. I ordered the red snapper etouffee and it was delicious. I would have preferred it with a little bed of pasta or rice than the mashed potato but the fish and shrimp were perfectly prepared. It was a delicious entree and perfectly cooked. The complimentary bread is very good. Crusty, warm excellent butter. I would have left 5 stars had it not been for the oysters and the "prosecco". Other than that, it was worth the money, had excellent service, and I highly recommend.

A piano player played live music as we dined, took photos and took turns sharing kind words about the birthday girl. All of that was the best part. The service was just okay. I'd give it a 6.5/10. They were timid and didn't move quickly. What I did appreciate is that they had two main servers plus two floater guys who just kept refilling water and bringing bread and straws. These guys were the real superstars. The food... eh. I took out my Yelp menu vision and read the reviews, and nothing really seemed like it was going to be good. I settled on the Oysters Rockefeller and a cup of gumbo. The oysters came out hard and dry, but we'd waited so long that I ate them. 5/10. The gumbo was just so-so. 5.5/10. Everyone around me said the same thing. Someone got the loaded shrimp scampi and set it back because it was completely tasteless. Others got the shrimp and grits and other entrees. When asked about how they were, everyone said, "Ehhh, you know... it's all right. Not that good, but not terrible either. Just okay." That was the consensus across the 30-person group. BUT there were two items the ladies said were actually good: the wedge salad and the salmon. Those who chose those items had a great meal!
