We came here for my Uncle's wedding where I was a groomsman. It's on the waterfront so it's a perfect setting for a wedding. The venue itself seems a bit outdated so basically you're paying for the view. As far as wedding venues go you're stuck with Houston's finicky weather. One moment it's cloudy and sprinkling the next minute it's clear and the sun is shining. We were lucky, 1 hr to the big moment it was just that, raining. 20 minutes out the clouds had dispersed and we were rushing to dry the chairs and get ready for the ceremony. Luckily, the actually ceremony was picture perfect. I could see why my uncle and aunt had chose this venue. The water front is the such a wonderful backdrop. As far as the food goes. This event was set up buffet style with various dishes. They had salad, garlic bread, fettuccine alfredo, marianna penne pasta, sausage stuffed rigatoni, mixed veggies and chicken parmesan. The garlic bread was covered in butter and garlic, just the way I love it, the alfredo sauce was extra creamy, and the sausage stuffed rigatoni was perfect. The other items were eh. I doubt I would choose this as wedding venue myself, but this is definitely an option for those who want a waterfront venue. read more

The views alone are worth the price of admission. Located in Seabrook, Villa Capri is an Italian restaurant right on the water. I recommend coming when the weather is nice so you can sit out on the patio. Better yet, come during a sunset so you can watch the sun go down as you enjoy your dinner. Villa Capri specializes in fresh seafood and I went with the seafood saute (shrimp, scallops, and crab meat) in a champagne sauce with your choice of side. I went with the oven roasted potatoes. The shrimp were jumbo shrimp and the sauce was excellent. You also get complementary garlic bread (mediocre through) and there is a salad bar. Service was friendly. Such a relaxing time enjoying some fresh seafood and some wine by the water. read more

The ambiance is nice, both romantic as well as a good place for a family meal; great location for a wedding by the way. After a long day and being absolutely ready for a nice evening with my girlfriend, we decided to try Villa Capri. The atmosphere of this restaurant was quite intriguing but don't let it fool you. We were seated outside on a shaky flimsy table without the presence of a table cloth. Upon being seated we asked about the wine selection, the waitress said "I'll be right back because I don't know". After waiting 15+ minutes to receive a selection on the wine, we just ordered water (Tap water) with no straws. After already knowing we were going to wait a long time for our food, we decided to order our "appetizer" of garlic bread which should have been accommodated for being a guest in the first place, we ordered everything in one round. We received a "salad" about 15 minutes after placing our order. This "salad" was an excuse for something to eat while we were waiting. Brown Iceberg lettuce, it was absolutely dreadful. After waiting about an hour we received our entrees. Fettuccini Alfredo was not exceptional and was lacking any flavor. Chicken over cooked. My girlfriend ordered Ravioli, which tasted like packaged ravioli with sauce that was completely rotten and absolutely disgusting. We received no drink refills until after our dinner was completed. I do not recommend this restaurant, even if it were free. read more

My wife and I had a free brunch coupon for Sunday. The food was definitely leftover from previous days, nothing fresh whatsoever. One of our water glasses look like it had been rolled around in the parking lot. The next class to take it's place had lipstick on it. The salad was average at best, we could not tell what the dressings were. The buffet was abysmal. The food is insanely dated, the only way you could possibly think this taste good is if you are old and your taste buds are dead. My wife and I were so turned off by the experience that even though we did not have much food to eat neither of us can eat anything now. You can check my history I have never written a review like this before. However, I could not look at the list of reviews for this place and not feel the need to correct it. The staff was very friendly and that is the only positive thing I can think of. My experience was not for dinner like the other reviews. I was out for dinner with friends and we decided to stop for drinks and desserts here. The view and grounds are lovely and there was a small wedding going on outside in the patio. The wedding party looked like they were having fun. Our party of 4 sat inside by the windows. My group knows the owner so we said hello before seating. The restaurant was practicing COVID restrictions with mask and social distancing. There were several tables and a birthday party inside. Everyone seemed relaxed and going with the vibe. We had a nice experience with coffee, Sambuca and desserts. The cannoli were great and we had another dessert that was not on the menu but was Devine! My husband and I keep coming back to this delightful place despite many shortcomings. Let's get those out of the way first. Each meal comes with a visit to the salad bar. This comprises of a few very basic ingredients from which to choose and in our opinion is not worth the Villa's effort. Service is irregular. Often we have excellent servers who are attentive as well as in tune with serving protocol. Other times we have been served by hard working and well meaning wait staff who merely need a little training. WE also find the food irregular and my husband typically is more impressed than I. We agree that food quality can range from 2 to 4 stars. We prefer Villa Capri for lunch when casual dining is our preference. Admittedly we are latent restaurant alcoholics and the supply of brands of alchol available is very limited. Wine by the glass is available only by generic house wines which are mediocre however, wine by the bottle choices are far more extensive. BUT there is MUCH that elevates this as a dining experience here to a three, sometimes even 4+ star experience, depending upon the particular day or evening. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the landscaping of the water view grounds is mature and well maintained. Outdoor dining is superior to most in the area as it is sectioned into a few different patio type areas with (night time) romantic lighting and spacious seating areas. One can order a beverage and stroll towards the water's edge while waiting for dinner or lunch to arrive. The inside dining area is also very attractive with window views of the water (Clear Lake) and grounds. Both the inside dining areas are clean and inviting. Tried this place for the 1st time for some chicken fettuccine Alfredo and i was deeply disappointed. Chicken looked and taste boiled but it had grilled lines. The Alfredo sauce itself had NO real flavor. Taste like nursing home meal or like terrible hospital food. It was carry-out but the service I received from bar-keep or server tending bar for carry out not sure but I wasn't pleased w her welcome or answers to my menu questions. We visited there on a much-needed evening out away from the kids. We've been here before several years ago. Not much has changed. The atmosphere is probably about the most unique and inviting thing they have going for them. A very nice quiet ambiance, yet you feel almost like you're a part of the family when you enter. What looked like the patriarch of the family sat at a table out of the way, and smiled at me as I passed. Very sweet and welcoming. I felt like i was looking in on a family gathering. The serving staff was kind and attentive. The restaurant, including the restrooms, seemed clean enough, although if they wanted to boost their clientele a bit, I would recommend updating it quite a bit. Unfortunately, that is about all the good I can say about it. The food was absolutely awful. They had a salad bar, and the lettuce tasted of mold. (It was sitting in water in the salad bar and so it was sopping wet and soggy when I fished it out.) The wine list was about 10 pages long, and I ended up just ordering a glass of the house whatever because I didn't feel like reading the novel. Then we ordered a couple of items off the menu, to try a couple of things. The pasta was very bland and I could only eat so much. The scallops had obviously come from the freezer and tasted incredibly rubbery and tasteless. I LOVE scallops, so to say I was disappointed in the meal is an understatement. It is a truly unique place and one-of-a-kind that I want so badly to be better. Just because I want to see it survive and be passed on in their family! We went here for the Mother's Day brunch. Before making reservations I called and asked what would be on the menu. I was told a full salad bar, pastas, a carving station and an omelette station plus desserts. The salad bar consisted of a spring mix plus a cucumber, tomato and onion salad that was very bland. The pastas were all baked somethings. No lasagna, spaghetti, fettuccine Alfredo, chicken Parmesan....things you expect at an Italian buffet. No carving station or omelette station. There were some fried shrimp that looked frozen to me although my husband said it was good. I had a sliver, because that's how it was sliced, of chicken cordon Bleu with mushroom sauce that was good and some fried ball that I'm not sure what it was. The desserts were great. The whole thing was underwhelming considering it was $40 a person. The service of refilling drinks and clearing the plates was excellent. But, I don't need to do that again. read more

It's a very lovely place to go for dinner. The patio view is very pretty and the owner and staffs there were all very nice. They have a good salad bar where you can create your own salad. The bread was pretty good and toasted perfectly. I had tried the snapper dish with angel hair and also some crab meat and shrimp. All the seafood were pretty good. I also had some crab paws for appetizer and they were delish with their sauce too. I will come back to watch the sunset by the water sometimes. It seems like there is a love/hate relationship among Yelpers who visit Villa Capri. They either loved it or hated it. I took some food pics since there weren't any. Tonight we went for dinner enticed by the water views and sailboat racing. There was plenty of parking, and the restaurant was pretty busy. We chose a table outside which is nicely encased in tall trees for shade, with a terrific view of the water. BTW, I was worried when I saw the price so food online that it was going to be a dress up kinda place, but sitting outside you would be comfy in a nice pair of shorts. Casual is the word. Around $12 for a plate of pasta, in the $20 - 30 range for seafood, steak, etc. I ordered a glass of the house Cab, and M ordered his iced tea. When I finished the Cab, I ordered the house Merlot. Both were pretty good. We decided no appetizer, we were going to jump into dinner, plus there is a salad bar with any entree. The salad bar was okay, sort of weird for the nice restaurant this place is trying to be. It had lettuce, an assortment of "salads" (tomato w/basil, chickpea salad, potato salad, cucumber salad w/ onion) and 3 huge bowls of dressing (blue cheese? ranch and honey mustard). Well, I gatta get my veggies in somehow. There was also some nice soft bread slices w/ butter. The waiter brought out garlic bread that was kinda - eh. I ordered the angel hair pomodori which was beautifully presented in a huge bowl covered in halved roasted cherry tomatoes and basil. It was really tasty with onion and a light red sauce. Score! M had the spaghetti and meatballs, his classic Italian fare. The meatballs had a good flavor to them. My mouth might be tricking me, but they tasted more like a beef/ veal mix? Anyway, it was pretty good. We finished off with a slice of chocolate mousse cake which was sinfully sweet and delicious, we couldn't finish it. I did try the coffee w/ cream (although it was still warm out) because the raves on Yelp, and you all were right... damn good coffee! read more

This was our first restaurant meal since the pandemic began but there was little reason to worry. Indoor dining had tables spaced apart but we opted for a table on the patio since we had our 8 month old grandchild with us. Even with the 90* temperatures, the patio was cool with the breeze coming off the lake. Our waitperson was very attentive and made a good wine suggestion for the table. Our appetizers (antipasto plate, bruschetta, and mussels) were very tasty and ample. Salads are served inside at the salad bar. The restaurant provides gloves for handling utensils. Our dinners were very good and also filled the plates. We ordered the snapper, salmon, shrimp alfredo, and spaghetti & meatballs. No complaints from anyone except, we ate too much and could not order desserts. Oh well, there's always next time. read more

Love this place! My three girlfriends and I were staying at a condo nearby. Our Air B&B host referred us to this restaurant. They are refurbishing part of the large restaurant. We were greeted at entrance by one of the owners and she was just delightful! We mentioned our condo host and she was thrilled. She seated us outside on patio overlooking the lake. Was just gorgeous. Our server was such a sweetheart. We had bruschetta for appetizers and ordered a very nice bottle of wine. We told her we were in no hurry. There were not too many other customers there on a Tuesday evening. We had meatballs & spaghetti, pasta vongole, chicken piccata, and lasagna. All of our meals were perfect. We all took leftovers home! Very large portions. Our server was efficient and very friendly. I will definitely be going back there next time in Seabrook. read more

We were given packets of parmesan cheese like the pizza delivery guy has. The bread was tasteless. The lasagna had flavor but was runny? I did enjoy the wine we ordered but that was just popping a cork. The salad bar, underwhelming. Quite a price tag for unimpressive food and a good view. We went back to this place for drinks after one visit, even though we didn't like the food, because the view is just so pretty. HUGE mistake. We were charged $30 for a vodka soda and a mimosa. We asked for an itemized receipt and it didn't say how much each item cost. It also took about 30 minutes for just the drinks to come out. So disappointed and feeling ripped off. Hubby and I met two other couples on a Sunday in August at 1 pm for their $26.95 buffet. The skies were clear and day was beautiful. It was hot out by the time we got there, so decided to sit inside. We had a beautiful view of their outside patio garden and Clear Lake. Owners greeted us as we sat down. Nice white table linens, servers were attentive and prompt. Decor is a bit outdated and in need of a refresher course. Now on to the buffet! Its set up more like a cafeteria, maybe the space it's set up in won't allow it to work any other way. For this price you got one mimosa each. A table with bread and the oils to make your dipping sauce, nice salad bar, someone making omelets with a nice variety of fillings. Pork tenderloin and a roast beef with a nice au jus. Delicious light chicken bundles in a cream sauce. There was pasta galore. Mussels in a garlicky white wine sauce. These were my favorites. Used some bread that was brought to the table to soak that sauce up. Delicious! By the time we got to dessert, the table was pretty much picked over with only a few choices. We asked if any more would be brought out. A nice lady then began bringing out huge slices tiramisu, chocolate cake, and Italian cream cake for the table to share. With hot cups of coffee we enjoyed finishing these tasty treats. All in all a good meal for the price and a nice visit with our friends and family. read more

This place is a gem. Come here when it's nice outside and sit in the back overlooking the water. Something about this place is nostalgic to me. The second I walked in (for the first time) i felt like it was my grandparents house. I love the look of this place. The outside is beautiful. It's extremely romantic, if you're going for that We ordered the blue crab fingers and escargot. Both with tons of garlic, which I love. They serve you garlic bread that's pretty good. I wasn't even hungry when I got there. Then we ordered a pitcher of sangria. I don't have much to say about the main course dishes, because we only came to snack and drink. Visited Villa Capri for a nice night out on our anniversary. We still had a nice night, but not because of Villa Capri. When you walk into the place, you feel like you're transported to the 1980s because of the very outdated decor. We sat by the window overlooking Clear Lake, and the view marvelous. Three different waiters tended to us, even though we were the only people there for the first 30 minutes. It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks, and we were shocked to see that bread was not complimentary. We moved on to order the crab cake appetizer, which took about 20 minutes to arrive. This seemed weird considering there were no other guests in the restaurant. They were greasy, but not bad. Onto dinner, I ordered the tortellini and my s/o ordered the chicken parmesan. The plating of my tortellini was actually pleasant, but the taste just simply bland. No garlic taste at all, and no offering of parmesan topping. Just underwhelming and uninspired. NOW ONTO the chicken parmesan. How that dish was allowed to leave the kitchen and arrive at our table is astounding. It looked like a heaving pile of tomato sauce with some day old spaghetti. In fact, the waiter was careful to not allow the sauce runoff to spill off the plate. My s/o was nervous to even attempt a taste, I offered to try and see if the dish was edible. The weak knife, probably from 1980, was unable to penetrate the chicken's tough and rubbery interior. The meat tasted like nothing, rubbery, and with no seasoning. The marinara sauce didn't even taste like tomatoes. Overall we had to forgo eating the main courses. Our meal was even kindly paid for by family and staff was told to mention it and we were not made aware of this. They just simply said our meal was taken care of. The beautiful view of Clear Lake in no way could make up for the outdated decor, uninspired food, and slow service of Villa Capri. Ramsay would have a field day. read more

We have eaten there for over forty years and we still love it. The restaurant sits right on Clear Lake, and is one of the nicest locales in the area. We love the food. We never had a bad meal there in all these years. I have eaten at big banquet dinners and dinners for Gary and me and we were never disappointed. We always enjoy the fact that they recognize us, and treat us like family. The restaurant is always spotless, the staff are attentive but not overwhelming, and as I said before, we never had a bad meal there in over four decades of dining. It is our favorite place to eat in Clear Lake and one of our favorites in the Houston - Galveston area. read more

This place has a wonderful view but it stops there the service is rushed and the management is terrible I ordered a fettuccine Alferdo with chicken and it the chicken was ice cold my wife got a salmon it was good. My friends ordered the chicken crapes and chicken salad the chicken was bland for them. They took over an hour to get the food. When I spoke to the manager an older Lady she asked for me to wait to hear my concern it made no sense. Then after telling her what was wrong she took 10 mins to get back to me and argued with me In front of my table. I am the customer don't argue with me If the food is cold fix it and fix it fast spending 5 minutes asking how I know if my food is cold is just silly. This place does it all. Ambiance, taste, beautiful views, elegant while still feeling homey. The owner sat us at a window seat overlooking the beautiful bay. A small salad bar was available but we decided to order salads and garlic bread to nosh while having a cocktail. Perfectly made drinks, and the herbed oil was so amazing for dipping the bread in. Our salads were huge, easily could have split one. I had chicken saltimboca, which isn't on the menu but they made it when I requested it. And my wife had Snapper piccata. Both were cooked exactly how we prefer. Fresh beautiful piece of fish. Onsite they also have a gorgeous event hall/venue. The outside patio is lit with lovely lights that had us take our cocktails out for a stroll to the dock, and watch the boats go by, before coming back in, finishing with a slice of almond cake a coffee. Perfect anniversary dinner. 23 years together and were married in Italy on the seaside, so for us, Villa Capri will be our regular date night location, and remember our epic vacay. read more
