Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. They had I think two parties going on - looked like a baby shower inside and a bridal shower outside. However, they did have a few tables outside on the water to sit at. Our waiter before giving us a menu asked us if we would like a drink. We asked if they had a specialty cocktail menu and he informed us they did not. We asked if they can make us a tropical drink (rum punch, etc) and he told us they could not. But...they had a full bar? Eventually, after a long conversation, we settled on a drink. The specialty cocktails my mom ordered came out in small rock size like glasses. She finished them within a few sips. One of the martinis I had was good but juicy/fruity, while the next one I ordered was much stronger. Very inconsistent. When our returned he told us a bunch of specials they had. All sounded delicious! We got one of them as an appetizer which was a shrimp and avocado salad served in the avocado shell. It was delicious and refreshing. But, there were only 3 mini shrimps in the whole thing. (We eventually found out this was $13.95) Entrees: my mom did the fish special. It was a very thin fish in a light sauce and came with a side of mixed veggies and only three potato wedges. She loved it. However.... The special was $41.95!!! For lunch!!! Our waiter never told us the specials pricing, even for the appetizer. And if you look at Villa D'Aqua menu, it's very reasonable with all entrees below $30. We were very upset about this since we thought it would be around the same pricing. That was ridiculous and not worth the upcharge. As for me I did the shrimp scampi over linguine. There were about five pieces shrimp, big size. But the shrimp was very fishy tasting and didn't have enough lemon in the dish. Pasta and sauce was very good. My entrée was $25.95. We also had two rounds of drinks which was $44 total. The overall bill for lunch for two people was $144. Plus tip. Way too high for lunch in my opinion. read more

Made a reservation for 6 hosted was given a man's name she looked at the reservations and said a women's name and took us to a table of 4? Ordered appetizers they were great Shrimp and avocado. Very different but great Oso Isco on the menu said it come with posts but came with rice? I said the menus says gnocchi they argued with me , I said it is in the menu I want it, they said you Jane to pay extra for ordering a side posts?? I always get the Brazino fish so my wife ordered to, they took it upon them self to make it Cajon Style-to peppery sent it back Pounded Veal Chop amazing We had 2 women kept coming over and we would ask them a question and they would say I don't know and leave the table. We asked one if a desert was made of dairy she can't have dairy we said on one desert ,she did no and it came out with cream on top? Coffee came with no milk or spoons, we asked for sugar and never received it?? Coffee got cold he did not charge us for the coffee . Then the waiter finally showed up to ask us everything okay?? This place is a disgrace. I had my kids communion party booked a few months in advance. I called the week before the event to confirm and they confirmed the event. I decided to go in and check out the room a few days before the party. The owner said that they doubled booked me and was extremely rude about it. First off, thanks for being open and taking necessary precautions. Recent evening visit, sat us outside on the deck. Bar area was being policed politely for over crowding, which I appreciated. The interior was well spaced out as was the exterior. Food and service was a good as ever, enjoyed a grilled octopus/calamari app, which was cooked perfectly. Originally we were supposed to come here for Memorial day weekend when we had family visiting but with rain in the forecast plus my mom's bf who suddenly had no interest in Italian food (how??? lol) whatever I'd been dying to go here so skip forward a few weeks and I instead came with just my husband and our son. The views are amazing and I learned of my boy's love of ducks. Seriously ducks, quack quack, that was him the entire time lol. At least it had nice railing where we could feel safe letting my boy basically just watch the ducks. You'd really think he'd never have seen ducks before. Anyway our food was amazing. Seriously the penne alla vodka one of the best I've had. Usually nice places on the waterthe food isn't that great but this place was just amazing. I'd now call it my favorite on the water place. I of course would have had an even nicer time if not for my son and the ducks but that's not the restaurant's fault in anyway whatsoever lol. The people next to us were extremely nice about it and I'm sure were entertained. My husband also had a blast when my son while trying to get the ducks attention threw his shoe luckily onto the bottom deck and not into the water. That is not how we get the duck's attention! lol. I then enjoyed my food in peace as my husband took our boy to see the ducks closer to the parking lot. Service was great, food was great, outside was great. This restaurant was perfect if only my boy just sat down and ate but those ducks lol. We live near by, my family and I come here often. Its one of our favorite spots in Bellmore. We come a lot in the winter but enjoy it even more in the summer because of the waterfront outdoor seating. The food is legit Italian even my Sicilian father in law is pleased haha. Went here for Mother's Day and I have to say if you're a large party, you should avoid going here on holidays. The service was so slow! We were there for over 3 hrs and that was without even looking at a dessert menu. The food was mediocre but idk if that's just because it was overly crowded due to the holiday. I ate lunch their last week with my cousin and have a wonderful lunch. Yesterday (Tues), I took my husband there at 1 pm for lunch. I couldn't find the hostess right away. When she appeared she was very unfriendly and rude. She asked us it we had a reservation. Meanwhile there were 15+ empty tables inside the restaurant and probably 8+ empty tables outside. I said no and told her we wanted to eat lunch outside. She walked away and went outside pretending to look for a table but genuinely seemed annoyed. My husband didn't like the way we were been treated and started complaining to me, "this is ridiculous there are plenty of empty tables... why do we need reservations on a Tues afternoon for lunch." The owner came out and was very nice. He must have overhead my husband. Anyway, he promptly took us outside and sat us at a table. As we were walking outside, we pasted the rude hostess who literally rolled her eyes at the owner. I wouldn't believe outright rude she was. The food was delicious and the servers were very nice. Exactly like what the reviews say...service is horrible. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time, went up to the hostess, and told her we arrived. We were waiting for about 10-15 minutes until a couple showed up after us and got seated before us. A different person came to seat us, an elderly guy and brought us to the outside dining area. He told us to wait in the front of the dining area while he cleared the table for us. He cleared it and just walked away, without even passing by us directly and telling us we could sit down. We had to ask a random waiter if we could sit. When we got to the table, there were crumbs all over the table. They clearly don't change their table clothes and the "view" of the marina was obstructed by construction. We ordered fried calamari which was subpar. The waiter told us he was going to bring us small plates for the appetizer, which was never done. The pasta bolognese straight up tasted like Chef Boyardee. My boyfriend asked for cheese for his pasta and it arrived 20-30 min later when we were almost done and wanted to leave. We had to ask for the check three times and we could clearly see our waiter doing other things. We waited about 45 minutes our check. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Btw, we overheard the couple seated a few feet away from us that the last time they saw their waiter was after he gave them their food and he just never came back. He came back eventually after another waiter told him his customers were complaining, just to make excuses to the couple about why he disappeared. 10/10 would not recommend this place. I love starting my summer off with an authentic Italian meal here on the deck facing the canal. They offer fresh quality Italian food with live music that just puts a smile on your face. The baked clams are delicious, you can't help but use the fresh bread to clean the sauce off the plate. From the pasta dishes, fish, salads, desert... it's all wonderful. AMAZING! I brought myself my friend and six 14 year old girls for my daughters 14th birthday. No reservation and they brought out a table to accommodate us. The owner was so sweet and I regret not getting his name. We all felt as though we were transported back to Italy. The service was amazing! Roberto our waiter and the rest of the staff was so attentive, kind and personable. The food, the food all 8 of us finished all of our plates, nothing left to bring home, then they finished it with a delicious Happy Birthday Tiramisu! The food was okay, the location was okay, but the service was poor. I think everyone enjoyed their meals - seafood, chicken and pasta. The wine was good too. The venue has indoor dining, patio dining, and outdoor dining. Despite being on the water, there is no appealing view of the water. You can see the boat lifts over the planters. There was no shade over the outdoor dining, but the angle of the sun after 6pm made it okay. When we first arrived, it seemed like we had a competent server, but he disappeared shortly after we placed our orders. The staff had no idea who ordered what. The dessert order was a disaster. Half the desserts ordered were correct. I ordered a cannoli. It was one on a plate. The cannoli cream was great and the shell crunchy, but the whole middle was empty. While they brought out an extra dessert with a candle, they didn't get the birthday girl's dessert order right either. We had to wait an excessively long time for our check and then again for our credit cards to be returned. read more

This place isn't only beautiful but tranquil. Great place for lunch with a casual friend as well as an intimate friend. My family went here last night (July 4th) for dinner. The whole experience was very enjoyable. Everyone worse PPE and the tables were spread apart. Our servers were very friendly which was great. We ordered appetizers which were great...a beet salad and fried calamari. Our entrees were excellent as well. I ordered a breaded grilled chicken dish with mozzarella and tomatoes on top...delicious. My family ordered an assortment of entrees but everyone was satisfied. We ordered some deserts which were pretty good. Nothing crazy. Our go-to starter is the restaurant's Antipasto della Casa - not for the weak of heart and not your usual antipasto plate - no cured meats and olives here - more of a savory, Winter in Bensonhurst, stick to your ribs offerings - very flavorful stuffed peppers, eggplant rollatini and some sort of deep fried mozzarella triangles(that any kid would do chores for) . The Zuppa dI pesce contained a piece of overcooked salmon, a small piece of a flat mystery fish, some mussels and clams, and ONE shrimp, The best that could be said about the fra Diablo sauce was that it was red. Went to a catered event last weekend and was disappointed. The food was tasteless, cold, and definitely not authentic Italian. The owner, the old Albanian man, was yelling at staff during the event, in front of guests. He yelled "move it, hurry up" to them. How appalling and disgusting to treat staff in such a manner and in front of guests. Also, the owner was showing the venue to people while ttye party was going on so strange people were walking through the party. How inappropriate! I would never, ever go there again and I've already told friends and family so they will not go there either. What a shame! Bellmore is such a great area. What a waste of waterfront dining. This review is based on a catered party I attended here. Atmosphere: there is a huge outdoor patio on the canal, which is a beautiful view. The restaurant itself has an outdated Italian-American vibe. There is an upstairs area for parties. Our group was in the main dining area downstairs. The noise from upstairs is very loud and distracting. It almost sounded like fireworks in the distance. There is are single stall men's and women's bathrooms. The seat is so old that the paint has faded off. We had the party room until 4, and by 3:30 they were breaking down tables while we were still waiting to load the cars with gifts. It was inconvenient and rude. Staff: the bussers were on top of things, keeping our waters filled and getting anything we needed. The waiters did not seem aware of the menu ingredients. I asked what was in the tri colors salad, and the waiter named the 3 lettuces. He sounded very confused when I asked what else was in the salad and could not give me an answer. I asked for another salad for my entree since I did not want meat today, and the waiter was annoyed that I wanted 2 salads. Food: the bread was good brick oven, cut thick. I had 2 salads since there was not a vegetarian option. For my first I asked for the dressing in the side, and I'm not joking- he brought me out a plate of dry, chopped romaine. That's it. The second salad came with avocado, which was brown around the edges. The cheesecake was a little watery. Everyone seemed to like the tiramisu. read more

If I could leave a zero star rating I would. I went there along 7 other people for a birthday party. Two of their waiters got into a fight amongst themselves and fell on a 9 month old child. Thankfully the child was ok but when the manager came, he blamed us. He said we were the ones causing a scene. He told us that "we didn't belong there" and went on a racist rant. Note that, we were the only colored people at the restaurant that night. The fact that his waiters got into a fight, fell on a child, created a ruckus and still we didn't even get an apology. Instead the owner blamed us for the situation. This establishment, definitely the owner, is racist, bigoted, does not know the meaning of hospitality and can not control his own crew. Been going to this restaurant for many years. Food is always great. However, the prices have gone up a lot (understandably). But the portion size has gone done tremendously too. Recently had stuffed sole with crabmeat. It was delicious. It was served with barely 1 potato and 1 giant slice of carrot. All this for $35!!! I was appalled. Also, salad for $11.95 was insipid (romaine lettuce with sliced grape tomatoes & 2 chunks of avocado) & way too much vinegar). Barely enough salad for one person. Mentioned the lack of vegetables & the salad dressing to the waiter, but nothing. The so-called waterfront dining is nothing more than a dirty canal. Kinda old school..tucked in a residential neighborhood. I think everyone knew everyone in the place which is a rarity. A large bar area with a lounge singer is the first thing you see as you enter. The decor was traditional and not overly fancy and the dining room pretty tight and loud but fine for conversation. The appetizers seemed a little more interesting than the mains and We really enjoyed the buratta. I had the branzino special which was a little over cooked but decent none the less.
