The food on the whole is tasty and filling, conscientiously prepared and served by wonderful people. The guacamole is real and delicious(so many places are using avocado sauce ) the tacos are flavourful and the Chorizo and eggs are so yummy. My favourite dishes are the Albondigas Soup, tender meatballs and veggies cooked perfectly in a delicious and balanced broth and the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo. Juicy shrimp in a garlic butter that would go well on popcorn!! I actually mix my rice into the sauce-this dish is quite indulgent. A mango margarita to top off a lovely meal. The one negative for me is the noise. While it's great that they are busy I don't always do well with overly loud music competing with TVs, causing patrons to have to talk loudly. For me the food was not great the drinks and chips and salsa was more amazing than the food all three of us ended up taking our food home and I gave mine to the always hungry grandkids. So we thought we'd try this place out and we really like the food the food is really good The margaritas at first needed some I guess extra boost and since we've come by a few times The margaritas have gotten exceptionally better they're great margaritas. I always order the enchiladas and beef taco plate which is my favorite my wife will order different things but I'm a creature of habit so Margaritas enchiladas and a beef taco if you haven't tried this place you should really try the food is really really good. I have started ordering food on Sunday and we're doing Mexican food lately. After several weeks of different places we ordered here today and it is delicious!! Our Uber Eats driver, Gerald got the food here still hot. By wrapping the individual containers in plastic the restaurant showed great service and care. We usually go to the restaurant; they do a good margarita, but I didn't want the noise which comes with a lovely restaurant. First off this has changed hands. The phone number is now (909) 251-4907. The best thing here are are the fried fish tacos. The plate is $12.99 and 2 with tax is $28.25. The shrimp cocktail was super expensive at with tax $27.00 and it's in a 16 oz soda cup. When I opened the top the avocado was completely coal black goo which made me feel like this was a rip off. Jumbo frozen shrimp at Walmart sells for 12-13 bucks a bag which would make 3 of these. So won't get that again. Shameful that the shrimp cocktail was made more than 24 hours in advance but the avocado says 48 hours which is not okay. Chicken Vallarta was not good either, all dark meat and overcooked. Won't get that again. Watch what you get and be careful on to go orders. Cards are excepted but cash is best. Cards are being reported as numbers being stolen and then they run a charge a month later thinking busy people won't notice that they have been robbed. Their customer service here is really great! We came as a party of 6 on a Friday night. There was a live band and the food portions are huge! So don't let the prices alarm you as it might seem a little high but you'll definitely take home some leftovers. Everybody said hello coming in and leaving. I was looking for a good bean and cheese wet burrito and called this place and the woman who answered the phone advised me they couldn't take over the phone orders right now. The margarita flight needs some improvement but other than that drinks were good. i had a ordered chili relleno burrito and my sister a shredded beef burrito with extra guacamole and sour cream. I ended up getting the wrong burrito sending it back and they were willing to fix it but i was already full and said never mind on the burrito. I kept driving last this place on my way home from picking up my kids from school. They always had specials painted on the window and they seemed like good deals. Well I finally decided to give this place a try (without yelping it 1st) and I'm happy I did. Chalk this up under "pleasant surprises", I was not expecting it to be this good. Menus were handed to us and shortly after, complimentary chips and salsa were on the table. It didn't take long for us to see what we wanted and place our order. My wife ordered a carne asada chimichanga w/rice and beans. I went with the 3 fish tacos special (just tacos). The chimichanga was cooked to perfection, the meat was tender and flavorful. The rice and beans were actually really good as well, they weren't just a throw in. I'm sure we've all been to a place or 2 where you order something that comes with rice and beans and the rice and beans aren't very good at all, you know like they just threw it on. The fish tacos I ordered were probably the best fish tacos I've ever had. They kept it simple but man it worked so well. The taco comes with a little bit of cabbage, diced grilled peppers (bell peppers), the fried fish and avocado with a side of chipotle sauce. I added a little bit of lemon and it absolutely did it for me. Shoot, even the chips and salsa were good. We like Del Mar so much that we came back the next day for the exact same items. Much to our delight, the food tasted as good as the day before. 11 dollars for the chimichanga plate and 7.00 dollars for 3 fish tacos.
