We love the past alforno. This is a great local spot. Always fast and cozy inside. My husband got a custom order and they helped him with it due to his diet needs

It's Wednesday date night and this week, we changed our regular location to moms favorite cuisine. We decided to go from our weekly Mexican place to Italian in Wylie. When you arrive, the first obstacle is parking since the restaurant is located on main street and it's not easy to back out when you leave, if you find a spot close to the restaurant. This is a seat yourself place and a few minutes in, our server brought us our menus. Since I've been eating carnivore for a bit, it was difficult to find something to eat. Mom selected ravioli and I got the chicken salad with 2 sides sausage and meatballs. While we waited for our meals, our server brought us warm bread. No this fat guy did not pull a Homer Simpson and salivate then eat it in seconds. Second obstacle, the portion size doesn't match the price-i don't feel i need to elaborate just look at the pictures. Mom liked her Ravioli. My chicken was dry and the sausage/meatballs portions were covered in sweet red sauce. There goes my carnivore with the sauce which overpowered the two sides of meat. Our server checked on us which was good. This was an average experience especially at almost $50 for two.

Very disappointed. The combo plate. She shell was dry and hard. The lasagne was flat and stuck to the bottom of the plate.

Amazing food, service, ambiance! Best mimosas I've had, real smooth and delicious and the food was also amazing and made super fresh! I will definitely be back here again, my family and I left extremely satisfied.

This sweetheart came table to table visiting with customers and answered questions about the wonderful cuisine.

Three of us ordered special spaghetti, the antipasto salad, and the pasta alforno. The meal came with garlic rolls and we added a side order of marinara for dipping. It was tangy and light, NOTHING like a canned or bottled sauce. The rolls were a bit dense, but EVERYTHING else was WONDERFUL! We shared all of the dishes, but the winner was the antipasto salad with its ham and salami pinwheels and the absolute BEST house dressing. Although he didn't introduce himself, I think it was the owner, came around to see if everything was good and answer questions. He even let me guess the ingredients of that dressing! We will definitely return as we had no room for the house-made tiramisu and really wished we had. Maybe a cup of cappuccino and dessert on our next visit. Service was great. Our server was attentive but not bothersome. The decor of the restaurant was pleasant with wine bottles lining the ceiling molding around the entire circumference of the dining room, antique pressed metal ceiling tiles, and origami chandeliers which spun delicately above us. The quiet ambiance was casual enough for a family dinner while quaint enough for an intimate date night. We had an all-around delightful visit to a lovely restaurant. Villa Vinci is a MUST if you've never been.

The food was amazing! For our appetizer, we shared the Bruschetta. The bread was slightly crispy with a soft, buttery inner. Topped with tomato and olive oil in perfect amounts, every bite was better than the previous. We had the Chicken Calabrese and Lobster Ravioli, both were very delicious and had lovely flavor notes. We also had a few of their new Italian inspired cocktails. The Cosmoplita and Italian Coffee were beautiful variations of the traditional Irish Coffee and Cosmopolitan. Besides what we indulged in, the service was top notch. The owner, Mida has immaculate attention to detail and care for her restaurant. This beautiful hole in the wall is a must try. We promise you will not regret it. My partner and I will definitely be back. Great date spot.

The restaurant was very clean (even the restroom) and comfortable with a small yet relaxing bar inside. Outside seating is covered from the sun with a small artificial grass area for the children to play. The menu has a nice choice of options with many specials. And a separate beverage menu to choose from as well. Our server Madison was great (so was the gentleman that seated us) attentive, upbeat & knowledgeable. We ordered two pies. The CBF on a gluten free crust. The pizza crust had nice texture & the chicken had a nice smoky taste but, overall a little dry. Definitely needed more smoked mozzarella & farmhouse toppings. I had the straight fire pizza & it was good but, I would prefer for the topping to be a bit more done. The toppings (especially the jalapeños) were still pretty fresh, barely cooked & because the crust is so thin, if you fire it too hot, the pie becomes well done and the toppings are undercooked. So, we're going with a 3.2 overall. Will definite try again. Enjoy!

Not really because we didn't like them, it just never crossed our mind at the right time. Oh, we've driven by on lots of occasions and said to each other how we should give them a try, but we have always been just a little wary since there are never many cars outside. But I guessed that maybe there's no indoor seating at this location, and that part is right. Sure, there are some benches outside on a cute little deck if you want to weather the heat, but that's not something I care to do, generally speaking. Fast forward a bit and we saw a few of the ads talking about their new Detroit style with the narrow pans and all the yummy garlic-buttery deliciousness that you would get with all those edges. Curiosity got the better of us. We thought, why not give it a try? We like Detroit-style crust, and then there was that curiosity. Have we been cutting ourselves out of something we would really enjoy? I've seen them on the Slice app when we order take-out from Napoli's, so I tried that first. Detriot style you say? Not on that app. No worries, this is something new. I'm sure they just haven't got the menu update pushed out. Over to their actual web site and voila, Detroit-style is there! I pick their version of supreme, place the order and get a confirmation that would lead you to believe 15-20 minutes until hot, fresh pizza is ready to pick up. Well, if you read the bold print, that's all you would see, they do say "If time is of the essence, please call the store ... for a more specific pick up time." Totally get it. it's an estimate and it can be off. Drive to the store and walk in around the 15 minute mark. Honestly not too worried about it being done at that point, but wanted to be there when it was fresh out of the oven. I really wanted to enjoy this experience! Here's where the interesting kicks in. Mr. HighSchool-I'm-TooCoolForThisJobOrReallyForAnything "greets" me at the counter. I let him know I have an order for pickup and he asks me for my name. I give him my last name and since that didn't seem to garner a reaction of any recognition, I then give my first name too. "It's not ready". Totally fair, I really didn't expect it to be ready yet. The lady working back by the ovens speaks up and lets me know that it'll be about 10-15 minutes, it's the next one she's working on. "Sure, no worries." I stand by the window as I wait, I could've walked out to the truck, but remember I wanted the fresh experience and have the best chance to really like this? Well, Mr. TooCoolForYou just sort of disappears into the back. Ms. ITakeMyJobSuperSerious is clearly frustrated by his total lack of ... well... anything. Honestly, the lumps of dough in that place have more personality than he does. She calls for him, he ignores her, literally walks right by her while she's trying to talk to him and he doesn't give her the time of day. He's got one of those lumps of dough and is clearly not helping out with the fact that they are clearly behind on the orders coming in. You can tell she bears the weight of all of it and takes it very personally. Like, I'm a little worried she's going to break down and cry, have a stroke, or I'll be reading about how a pizza worker was stabbed multiple times in the local news. I'm just there watching this unfold and realizing how much all of this is stressing me out too. Then she calls the boss/owner? She's almost too upset to form sentences. She finishes the call and gets back to the boulder she's been pushing up the hill. I'm sure it has taken a lot for her to get to the point that she can't hold back even though she's got customers there to watch it all unfold. Someone else comes in to get an order. She calls for Mr. TooCoolForYou (my name for him, not hers), he looks out, sees there's a new customer and wanders away. She loses it a little with a blurted out "Seriously???!!!", then trys to regain her composure with not nearly the success she would probably have hoped for. Gets the customer name gets their order, the extra dressing they ask for and gets back to work on orders. Mr. TooCoolForYou is MIA right up until the customer is just about to head out the door. At this point I realize that the 10-15 was not an overestimate like I hoped, but rather more like what she hoped for, but was not going to get near. 25 minutes after getting there the "pizza" (more on that in moment) comes out. Mr. TooCoolForYou pulls it from the oven, boxes, slices and checks if my name is still Brian. I assure him it is and he hands me the box. I'm elated to be walking out of that stress box. The pizza. Is. Underwhelming. Those buttery, garlic-y edges? Crisp, sure, flavorful...no. and the toppings - I get it, she was the only one really working there - were strewn about with glops of sauce in some spots and half the other with none at all. Little Caesars does this one better. Really, don't bother.
