I have to say this place is fast. It never takes them more than 10-15 minutes to bring your food. We have never had a bad experience with service, ladies working there are very attentive and always checking on you. That's my experience. I've never eaten their pies but they look good. We always get their skillets but this time I tried their fried green tomatoes Benedict and it not bad. Place always has plenty of room, it easily accommodates a big group of people.

Food was excellent as always. Just still can't understand why this place isn't packed with people

Everything was just a bit overdone.

We came early, trying to time breakfast without being overrun by the church crowds that we were warned in advance about. Luckily, there were only a handful of people seated. But honestly, we may as well have waited until there were 100 more people eating. The service was pretty slow, there were flies all over the place (who wants to swat at flies when they are trying to spoon eggs into their mouth?) The menu was pretty extensive and for breakfast, it was decent. Still, it was a long wait and the food was just OK.

It is what it is. You can tell a lot about the cleanliness standards of a restaurant by the restroom and at 9am this one was filthy. Not just with easily cleaned things, but caked in grime that looked years old. The food was only passable. Don't bother with the country fried steak, it and everything else looked and tasted like it came out of a freezer. I added one star because our server was so nice. Definitely NOT worth a $50 meal for coffee and freezer food.

This area has the circular and other big booths.

They do not sell lettuce, all their salads are twigs and stems, even their Cobb salads!

Bought a strawberry rhubarb pie. It tasted funny. Opened it up and the gelatin is brown. Definitely an old pie they sold us.

It was starting to storm out so we thought we would get dinner…read more So this was our pick for the night. We had the pleasure of having a server named Brett. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. A great waiter. I ordered the French onion. Soup. It is very good here. I got the spicy chili chicken appetizer as my dinner. The soup was excellent, hearty broth and was not lacking cheese at all! Very good. The chicken was tender but I was not crazy about the sauce. I loved the chicken, I think next time I'd request no sauce and just use a hot sauce on them. There was 3 of us and we all enjoyed our food. We recommend the food! And recommend the excellent service we received from Brett. Make sure to ask for him, he is on the ball for refills as well as anything else you may need. We will for sure be back. We did order takeout a couple months ago and I have to say they had everything correct and we all enjoyed the dinner. This was before my Dad passed away and he was not eating good but he ate very good that night. We will for sure go back inside and we would do take out again if needed. They have been here now about a year. Happy to see they are doing good there and have good help. Great job longhorn!!
