    Pancakes,Eggs,potatoes- catering services
    Alexis B.

I recommend them for your next breakfast meal for larger parties or catering. We use them for our housewarming party on Sunday and they did not disappoint with of how it prepared and how well it was done. The order it self came out to be $120 plus tax for serving they had available we had a party of 15. Checking in for my order was smooth and very easy and my wait time wasn't long at all very quick and the staff was nice. We got there brunch staples pancakes and eggs and potatoes all were really good the guest love the potatoes the most and my personal favorite was the eggs and the pancakes definitely a good way to highlight the party with well made food. Walking in is like your classic diner very clean and wide space for large gatherings and to go or catering check in was easy and the manger was friendly and I brought my own bag for the food and she was able to manage to put all of it end there for easy access and carry out. I will be back again to dine in to see other delicious options they have to offer. And I would recommend them if you need catering services for breakfast food they have so many options to choose from.

Key lime pie review 6.5/10 : Lime custard is amazing, the crust is also very good, not too hard, the ratio of meringue is really off and it really isn't meringue it's whipped cream, though it is definitely home made whipped cream that just isn't key lime pie. I ordered it special order with only whipped cream ring on the outside and that was fine but I prefer pie that needs no customization. Other than that the restaurant is good for brunch, and service is always kind, you might end up waiting in a line but that's alright.

Classic. Diner. Food. Go on Wednesdays for free pie ! Got the Reuben with hashbrowns and I devoured that so quick like I have 30s to eat it or the waitress will take it out. SO GOOD.

Had breakfast here recently while in town for business, this is a busy location. We were greeted by the hostess walking in and seated in the same moment. A traditional interior, old school Americana diner feel. Our sever showed up within a minute or so to take our drink orders, my choice black coffee and a large apple juice. After giving the menu a good look over, I opted for the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was the start of what was going to be a long ass day, and I wanted a filling plate. This a a hearty breakfast and it definitely hit the spot and did the trick keeping me going all day. Two eggs over medium, a large battered beef steak covered in cream gravy with crispy hash browns. The eggs done correct but its a couple eggs, the hash browns were extra crispy and really good. The chicken fried steak was okay, like a premade/packaged one, not a made from scratch one but okay. Nothing great, not bad but tasted like from a box, it served its purpose. This is an average breakfast joint, thats popular with the locals. It served its purpose and met my needs for that day. 3 Stars 01025

The Ultimate Skillet is one of our fave. Eat some, take some home for another meal. Delicious

This location is our choice for girl meetups because of the great table service, good southern food, great portion size, and the downtown, yet hometown vibe. It is a chain restaurant, but this location is so hometown friendly, and it feels like a Mom and Pop restaurant. The customers are kind and polite, and the happy chatter at the tabke let's you know that they are there but unconcerned about your convo. Enjoy your food, and the staff. Enjoy yourself.

I don't know what happened here, but the Food was Terrible! My Wife and I came here for Breakfast today. My Wife ordered an Omelet and I ordered the Strawberry Crepes. We get our Food, and it doesn't look Bad, but it ends there. My Crepes were Overcooked and Tough! My Wife's Omelet was also Overcooked and had an Aftertaste to it! We could not Finish our Meals! Something needs to be Done with the Cooks like send them for Training and Check to make sure the Food in the Back is alright as well! We will not be returning here in the near Future! We should have gone to either Golden Corral or Dennys for Breakfast! They both know had to make a Great Breakfast! Trust your Stomach and Wallet for they will Thank you very much for not Eating here!

I have lived in Virginia Beach for over 30 years and it's my first time eating here. I was bound and determined to go at least once. It was obvious from the time you walk in that's it's a family favorite. It was great seeing so many families having breakfast together and just enjoying each other's company. Our server was very polite and friendly. She checked on us several times even before our food came out. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak. It came with eggs, hash browns and pancakes. My husband enjoyed every bite. He couldn't finish all the pancakes but that's probably because the chicken fried steak is a 1/2 pound. I got a side of their country potatoes and some wheat toast (I usually don't eat breakfast and I'm a vegetarian ). The potatoes were perfect!!! Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and they were seasoned perfectly. I'm glad we got there when we did because it got so packed and the line to be seated was out the door. But that didn't stop the staff from greeting every customer with a smile and just looking happy to be there. If you like big portions, this is definitely your stop. Also, make sure to check out their homemade pies, they are piled a mile high.

They haven't been open 24 hours for so long. Closing hours are 10pm except for Fridays & Saturdays when they close at 12am. Please see picture posted with current hours as of 8/19/2023. Solid food options available at decent prices for a substantial amount (of food). With it being 11pm on a Saturday night while on the road and a hangry husband on the verge of a hunger meltdown it was our saving grace. All the fast food drive thru options had closed and T- Bell and the closest late night Golden Arches weren't going to make the cut for my glucose challenged spouse. I was wholeheartedly ready to avert this sustenance crisis that I hopped out of my vehicle to confirm whether the hours matched the hours my husband had found on VI's website. I quickly motioned to him to come inside. It was a go! Staff were friendly and attentive. Our beverages hot & cold arrived in a timely manner after having been expeditiously seated and our orders taken by a friendly server. They offer a variety of food ranging from breakfast items, sweet & savory to salads, burgers, & comfort food dinner options of chicken pot pie, country fried steak, poultry dishes & a variety of pie slices or if your heart desires, a whole entire pie! Their fries came out piping hot and tasty!! Crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. The fish & chips dinner was generous. I didn't realize I had 3 triangular filets! The third one was hidden. It was accompanied by fries and a choice of one side and Texas toast. I figured you can never have enough potato carbs so I chose mashed potatoes with the gravy on the side. It was a lot of food! Especially this late at night. So I had plenty of leftovers. If you enjoy malt vinegar such as myself, they do offer it in packets. That was the deal breaker for me on whether I was going for the fish & chips or another dish. The mashed potatoes were enjoyable and on the creamy side, but not too creamy. The Texas toast will more than satisfy those who LOVE their buttery delicious toast. A+! My husband ordered the patty melt which was on rye bread & came with fries. He efficiently devoured his meal and a good portion of my fries as well. I had an iced mocha with light ice, because nothing is worse for me than ending up paying for a 3/4th cup of ice and only a 1/4 cup of coffee. I received it as I ordered and it was divine. The hubs had a pot of coffee which he vocalized to me was on the old side. However, he did state to me that it wasn't a big deal as he knew they were closing soon and didn't want them to go through the trouble of making a new pot. So the onus is on him. I did order a slice of PB butter cup pie to go, which I sampled before I left and will tackle tomorrow. Overall, great friendly, efficient service, decent prices, great portions and palate satisfying food!

I don't frequent Village Inn but every time am asked where can someone go for downright good comfort food just like how grandma would cook it, Village Inn comes to mind. And every time I go there, I am not disappointed. This time I suggested to my friends to have breakfast. I ordered a fruit cup(I asked for a cup but they gave me a bowl!). Even a simple order tells you a lot of what they serve: plump, really fresh, juicy fruit pieces and slices, sweet ripe not sour or stale. Service is always friendly, welcoming and accommodating. On your way out, just take a few moments to look at the fresh baked pies and cakes by the counter. Hard to resist!

2-egg Omelette, Sausage Links, Grits, and Buttermilk Pancakes. Nom nom nom!!

Mia for President!! Or...at least, server of the month. :-)) I've been coming to VI for 15 years, and it is hands down the best Diner in the largest city in Virginia! Yes, fun fact, and also true! Young gal took my order after taking 2 orders at the next table, and didn't write anything down from any of us. I thought, there is NO WAY it's gonna come out right (insert cynical smirk here). I even ordered the 4-for-$13 variety breakfast, where you choose an item from 4 separate lists. Not only was everything correct for me, it was PERFECT! I normally don't breakfast at VI, because I love their Sammies! But this was the fluffiest omelet I've ever seen, everything was hot and fresh, and there was even an extra pancake! Even the syrup pitcher was warming from just being rinsed and not all sticky and gross. Brava, young lady! I could go on and on, but...just WOW! PLEASE don't ever close, Village Inn!! PSA: In case you somehow miss the big white painted arrow, the parking lot is ONE way, people! VI is at a very busy intersection, and there is only one entrance/exit. Be careful, folks!

Wow!!! Hands down the best breakfast restaurant I've gone to! You cannot compare this place to the usual breakfast chain restaurants. It is the same style, but the food has so much more flavor! Tips: go early or see when it's least busy because there might be a wait. It's packed all the time, but less earlier in the morning.

It's loaded with honey smoked turkey, hardwood smoked bacon, Havarti, avocado, romaine, tomato, and basil mayo all on fresh French bread. I also grabbed the Shakedown Street smoothie (banana, chocolate whey protein, peanut butter, and oat milk), and it was such a good call. There are so many options, whether you need a quick lunch, snacks for the week, or something easy to bring to a friend's house when they're hosting. It's the kind of spot that makes you look like you planned ahead, even if you didn't. Also worth mentioning: their wine selection is huge!! You could easily pop in just to pick up a bottle (or a few), and there's something for every taste and price point. And I have to shout out the pimento cheese. It is seriously so good. I could eat the entire container. Creamy, flavorful, and a must-try if you're browsing their prepared items. I usually go to the shore drive location, but I enjoyed this one as well. I will be back!
