Right across the street from the ocean front we found this eatery open for lunch. The location is prime but the environs extremely dated. The restrooms need a significant remodel. Aside from that, the staff, from host to server to manager were 5 star friendly. The menu has lots of breakfast choices. They encourage the all you can eat breakfast buffet. I decided to partake of the senior buffet at $13.99. The buffet had all the typical breakfast offerings, but because it was a bit after noon the fruit offerings were unappetizing having probably been sitting out since 8am. The other offerings seemed like they had been under the warmer awhile. The scrambled eggs and bacon both seemed fresh and were tasty. My unsweet tea was nicely brewed. Total for 2 children's breakfasts, a senior buffet and 3 drinks was just under $50 plus gratuity. This was a great place to grab a bite when hunger hits while ocean going. read more

We visited for the first time today and plan to go back each morning of our trip. We got the buffet (2) and drinks. It came out to $52. While it was a bit steep - the food was worth it to me. I enjoyed the French toast, crispy bacon and the grits/potatoes were the best. We also had a very friendly waitress. This is when you pay a little bit to make up what you don't have when you pay for that bargain hotel price. BEWARE -- if you walk in with Starbucks or tea, be prepared to be harassed and accused of 'adding liquor to your drink' Nevermind that it was 10:30 AM and that your 12 year old is happy because he just got a fresh mango slush. He cited ABC liquor laws as to the reason why we all -- including my son, could not drink our well blended teas to wake up inside their establishment, despite the drinks being sealed. Food was great and we had an awesome waitress. However the owner would constantly watch everyone while they ate from the kitchen area he made no attempt to be inconspicuous. When I asked the waitress, why does he stand there and watch us she simply said to make sure nobody's feeding others from the Buffett. My friends and I went here-- 14 strong, and the restaurant was basically empty. To their credit, they seated us together, immediately, although this was after they first suggested we split up into several tables. (They were apparently unwilling to combine tables to accommodate us all). They then informed us they would be unable to split the checks into more than two, then the manager said she'd be willing to do six. It seemed completely arbitrary. We then all ordered our food, which was fairly priced. It took absolutely forever for our food to come-- once again, despite the relative emptiness of the restaurant. We wondered if maybe they were just trying to bring out all of our food at once, but that didn't seem to be the case, since they completely failed to do that. My food was fine-- two eggs sunny side up, grits, and toast. (Although, the toast was just cheap white bread that came pre-buttered). Some of my friends had truly awful food. First of all, they had to pay an extra dollar to add cheese to anything-- whether a breakfast sandwich or an omelette. The cheese ended up being barely-melted Kraft singles haphazardly placed on the food, plastic and rubbery. Pancakes seemed all right, so maybe that's the way to go... if you absolutely have no other choice for breakfast food. read more

First, they have a side that looks pretty clean and open and well lit-but they shove everyone over to the dark smelly cramped seating area for whatever reason. They have a tiny breakfast buffet (pancakes eggs, sausage, and potatoes). There was no fruit, muffins, cereal or flavor! Food was only edible-not good. Well most of it was edible, the eggs were abysmal. Everything except the pancakes were soaking in water.
