    Bacon and eggs

I was excited to try this place given that it was a few minutes from our house. There was plenty of parking and we were sat right away. The food was good with huge portions. Not fancy, but solid which is what you want sometimes for breakfast. It had a small town diner feel and the service was excellent. My coffee was consistently replenished and we were attended to appropriately. Pancakes were huge, fluffy, and delicious. Bacon and sausage were perfectly prepared. All the food was excellent. The only negative was that there was no splenda for the coffee only sweet-n-low and equal. Otherwise, everything was great. Will be back.

So, so good. We missed hotel breakfast this morning and so far, that was the best thing that happened today, cause it landed us here. Spacious dining room, lots of booth seating. Good service. Breakfast here was really, really good. Everything. Omelette, scramble, Benny, even the biscuits, and the English muffin in the Benny. They have daily specials, then hand written boards with seasonal specials, and I don't know what to call them, "special specials" perhaps? Spotted the hostess taking pictures of the hand written board when we came in, I peeked at the Facebook page and saw it's posted there in case you want to get a look at it before you go. Only open 8a-3p

Popular weekend breakfast spot serving omelets, skillets, pancakes and biscuits. Daily specials are on the board - if you see any quiches on the list, I wouldn't pass them up. My bacon, broccoli and cheddar quiche came with a small bowl of fresh fruit. Hearty biscuits and gravy is great with a side of sausage links. Good selection of omelets. My coffee cup always stays full, no matter how busy they are. Plenty of parking.

Okay, I never give out 5 stars. I'm giving this place 5 stars. The reason? Everything! The food is the best diner food I have ever had. The staff was friendly and supper knowledgeable about the menu. The place wasn't fancy, but nice. I'm telling you I had the Sid, Turkey Ruben and it was as the best I have ever had. They maKe homemade biscuits from scratch as big as a saucer. A must go to in Ann Arbor.

I go here often with my kids. They love the childrens pancakes, bacon & sausage. I always order the steak & eggs. Everything is always fresh & cooked to perfection. Definitely the best diner in Ann Arbor. Loving going here & highly recommend!

This place is amazing! It has a huge menu, extremely kind waiters, and there was food I didn't even know existed. I got hot chocolate which was so delicious. I also got pancakes with cherry's, chocolate chips, and whip cream. It was the best thing I ever tasted!! I recommend this place, it is also the first place that I did a Yelp review on. I live in New York and came here to Michigan but now I am willing to come here again just to come to this place.

I will preface this review by admitting that I might be biased. I came here after running a 5K race on an empty stomach in the morning, so I would have eaten anything! And I nearly finished my plate of their special salmon eggs benedict, which came with a side of greasy hash browns. The filling, delicious food made it completely worth it to undo all my hard work in training for this 5K. In addition to the food, the setting also reminded me of your classic American diner. I will make sure to go back on a regular day so as to not be influenced by my post-running stomach! As well as keeping this place bookmarked to celebrate future post-5K races.

Pecan topped Belgian Waffle with grilled apple slices a warm caramel sauce topped with whipped cream! I would highly recommend this!

Honey stung chicken is the whip. Good eats, low key, and no panic attack inducing flat screens.

One of my favorite low-key spots for breakfast in Ann Arbor. Affordable and tasty. Been open for a long time as well.

Wow. What a discovery. Second lunch here. Sweet and sour soup is wonderful. Must return for dinner. Small but stunning lunch menu.

Service was excellent and attentive! I enjoyed the bread service, roadhouse simple salad, French fries, chicken basket with cole slaw and mashed potatoes, and a strawberry specialty cocktail. The breading on the fried chicken was perfection, and the bread AS ALWAYS was delicious. The mashed potatoes and gravy were probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Absolutely holiday home style with great texture. Downsides: too many assorted flying insects on the patio, the pimiento cheese was nearly flavorless, fries were underdone for my liking, and pricing too high and portions too small for the chicken basket.

They took the order, brought the food and never asked if we wanted another drink or refill. Came back at the end for the bill. At the end they gave us a bill and asked for an additional tip even though the 20% was already added. The food was great 17 years ago when I got three meats and two sides for $11:99 or add Mac n cheese for $15.99. Now at $32 with tip and just water, the smoked bbq pulled beef sandwich was just ok, not a big portion by any means and they do not leave the sauces so whatever is on your sandwich is it. The entree came with fries small portion and a Cole slaw. At these prices, I think, I am done with the roadhouse.

With that being said, my hot take has always been that millennials make some of the best coffee. I tried the miso caramel hot latte with oat milk, the honey matcha, and a mango lemonade, all of which turned out delicious! The miso caramel had a deep rich miso flavor which complimented the caramel so well. Though I probably wouldn't order it again because it wasn't quite my preferred sweetness for that flavor combo, I still admired the ingenious of the flavor combo and really enjoyed it once I added a little extra sugar. The honey matcha was very good and I like the subtle sweetness that the honey gave the matcha. I could tell that their grade of matcha wasn't the best but they made up for it in technique and flavoring. The mango lemonade was a sweet pick me up and I really enjoyed the fresh mango taste. For food, I tried their lox bagel and I will admit, it wasn't my favorite lox bagel I've had. I could tell everything was fresh and I did enjoy it to a degree, but it tasted very heavily pickley and wished it leaned more into the classic lox and caper bagel I prefer. I also didn't prefer paying 16 + tax for it and definitely won't be doing that again. Despite that, I don't think it deserves a removal of a star because it was still made well, it just wasn't for me. Though I'm a gen-Z and the brutalist style lacks the whimsy I so desperately (and totally not performatively) crave, I still appreciate that it cleans and there is so much space to study if necessary. I also appreciate the community mindset with the fresh roasting across the street, pizza bar Nextdoor, and ceramics studio down the road (I love a coffee + ceramics combo as a ceramicist myself). This place is definitely a hidden treasure and I can't wait to try more of it and bring friends along with me.
