Homestyle diner food, with a little extra special something! I stopped into Manchester Diner for some brunch after a cold winter adventure in nearby Leonard Preserve. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash, which came with my choice of egg preparation and toast. And house made jam! They had several flavors, and I chose the blueberry bourbon jam. Food exceeded expectations! (To be fair, I didn't really have any specific expectations.) The corned beef in the hash was REALLY good. Higher quality and in large chunks than I typically see. Very tasty. Potatoes were perfectly textured, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Made to order eggs were perfect and the veggies were good too! I loved the toast and homemade jam. Was asked if I wanted hot sauce or ketchup, and I got both on the side as well. All in all, great brunch! Service was friendly as well. Interior is cozy vibes, very family friendly and pretty casual. Went there due to reviews and wanting to see art that was on display there. Wow! Owner and staff were so friendly and food was amazing! My friend had the grilled cheese and it looked delicious. I had the Turkey Reuben and cup of pazole verde soup. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. They sell homemade jam there and one was dragon fruit. Dessert case looked incredible but due to carb watching had to pass it up. At least for this time. This place is a real gem! Can't wait to go back. read more

The best breakfast in Manchester. Yes, they are just starting but my hopes are high. We went for breakfast, today. The eggs are local and tasty, the surprisingly superb sausage is homemade. Real homemade blueberry jam! Coffee was way above average. We are eager to return for lunch. As the slow morphing from what was the past becomes the new present, the fresh, present sincerity of people creating their dream can ring across the countryside. Manchester needs a restaurant with some down-home soul. I sense that these people have it in them. Manchester is burdened by a deep history of nostalgia. As you go up Main street, the closed grocery store and the shocking exhibit of vacant store spaces rings of a past time. Nostalgia is a sweet deception. Yearning for the good old days is wishing for a way that probably never was. It will never be the way it was. It's 2020. The future is here. This place may be the catalyst for a big change in Manchester. A new generation, a new vision of possibilities is simmering right here. I hope they add to the menu. May they have courage to break out the common expectations that are easy to imagine people want. We're not going to live long on burgers and fries. I believe people want sincere, delicious, and healthy food. I wish these people well. The Manchester Diner may be what I've been hoping for. This place has so much potential. I encourage them with all my heart. Things for them to consider; getting rid of that stale old memorabilia on the walls from all the previous iterations, a big chalkboard with creative daily specials, healthy food and maybe even growing into being open for dinner a few days a week. I have lived adjacent to town for over 30 years. I've mostly given up on eating in Manchester because it's mostly the the same old thing, the easily expected (although Frank's can hit the spot). We often find ourselves wanting to go out to eat but the food we enjoy ends up being 20 miles away (I'm not talking fancy A2 stuff either - I'm thinking the Roadhouse or Oaktree Lounge in Jackson. The Roadhouse has a very clever thing going. As the Manchester Diner builds on success, I hope they consider the clever menu of the Roadhouse on the north side of Jackson). This place is VERY tasty. It's just a small town dinner with your typical decor (they are renovating soon I hear) but their food is AWESOME. They home-cook everything and it shows. The sausage is so flavorful. Their soups are unique and super tasty. I've had breakfast and it's all cooked perfect. My eggs are always just how I want them. Fast, friendly service. Homemade, flavorful food. They've only been open a week or so and they amazingly served a full house quickly! I like hashbrowns way more than homefries, so at first, I was disappointed the didn't offer hash browns. BUT their homefries were crispy, homemade and really good! Also they don't offer iced tea which I think is odd for a breakfast/lunch diner. This might be trivial but the menu has several typos and misspellings.
