My true review would be 3.5 to 3.75, just below a 4. A quaint little diner that fuses traditional Korean and traditional American diner food. You seat yourself where you like. The one waitress which maybe the owner does everything. She takes your order, brings your food, answers phones, prepares takeouts. My wife ended using restroom which is in an odd location through the back of the kitchen. Needless to say your server is very busy and you may need some patience before she can attend to you. That said she is very nice. We ordered the bulgolgi cheesesteak hoagie, which comes with plain chips, coleslaw, and pickle. Broadway cafe is still my favorite Korean cheesesteak hoagie but this was very good especially for the price. My wife ordered the bulgogi omelette which I tried loaded with bulgolgi this was very flavorful as well. The kimchi cucumber was more cucumber than kimchi not very spicy, but I bet she tones it down to appease her customers that might not be used to Korean spice. I ordered bulgogi but I am pretty sure they gave me pepper steak, because it was in a pepper sauce and had green peppers. The quality was good but it was not exactly bulgogi, whether the order was technically wrong or not. Too spicy for me and bulgogi is not spicy at all. I am not sure why the bulgogi on the menu says it comes with vegetables, but the pepper steak clearly details everything it comes with. There are also 2 slightly different bulgogis on the menu, so I would imagine that can cause confusion when ordering. I did an online order for bulgogi and apple pie. They were out of pie. She said she would refund me in cash. Ok, but the tax was not refunded. Seems odd. I am sure there is a way to do a partial refund in the online order system. You cannot keep the tax on items you did not give out. I had also changed my order online and the note I made before did not disappear. So, they called and asked about the note and mentioned the pie and said they would not make the order until I called. Nothing prevented them from making the order. If I wanted to call, I would not have done an online order, and I was driving and had a busy day. I wanted it to be ready by a specific time and this held things up. I get the message that says the order is ready. I go in and she says 10 minutes. I tell them I got the email. She repeats what she said. Ok. They misplaced the order but did not tell me that. Customers appreciate honesty and not just telling them to wait with no explanation. Someone had placed the order on a table at the front and she did not know. It is family run, and unique. It's a mashup of a family diner and homestyle Korean food. The Korean dishes are amazing and I love the quality of the white rice. Hamburgers are also delicious. I also really like the chicken teriyaki. I love their Christmas decor right now--so festive. I honestly wish I had known about this place earlier because it's a gem, especially for Korean food. Everything was good and fresh. The only thing that was off was the ramen. It wasn't great. But guess that's what you get for ordering Japanese food in a heavily Korean-influenced restaurant. The tofu bibimbap looks so good! It would take 5 minutes for our order. The tofu was soft and plentiful. The cucumber kimchi that came with the dish was good on top of the bibimbap. I could have used a bit more gochujang, maybe a second container to cover the toppings and the rice too. The cabbage and carrots, bean sprouts, cucumber spinach and fried egg. Choose your meat bbq and it comes with a variety of sides: salad, dumplings, and battered fish. Eclectic with variety. The elderly lady was rude from the minute we walked in. I had a SMALL travel stroller (because the baby is to young for highchair) and she said no room for strollers and embarrassed us but another server intervened. (My question is so how do you fit a wheelchair which more than 3 times the size of the tiny stroller.) The man and younger girl tried to seat us at a comfortable table but she moved us to a place where the baby had to have the stroller pushed partially UNDER the table. This fightened him and he started to cry and she started giving dirty looks. Within 5 mins of entering I asked them just to make my order to go and she was just as rude cashing me out. Got my food and it was honestly the worst breakfast food I ever got. Omelete had cheese on top of it instead of inside and they stuck paper to it so my ham & cheese omlete was a over cooked rubbery egg ham omlete. I dont know what they did to the French toast (made with white bread) to make it look like that but my 6 year old granddaughter took one bite and refused to touch it.
