Despite being walking distance to my home, I'd rather drive somewhere than deal with these rude, unhelpful people ever again. Rule #1 of customer service: Ignoring your guests/customers will never end well. Rule #2, being rude won't help matters. I came in for what I thought would be a very simple Amazon return. When I walked in, I was not acknowledged whatsoever... No hello, or "I'll be right with you" or even eye contact. Instead, I was ignored for 15+ minutes, while the girl at the counter (African American woman) dealt with a woman with 15-20 packages to ship, who clearly wasn't ready and had a laptop on the counter figuring everything out. I could have easily been helped and on my way during that entire time but no. Not even as much as an acknowledgment to my presence. In fact, the first words out of her mouth weren't "hello, how may I assist you?"... it was: "You can do your Amazon return over there" as she gestured me over to a kiosk. I went over, immediately pressed the wrong option and was trying to figure out how to go back and the clerk kept yelling from behind the desk, "JUST SCAN YOUR PHONE" and "YOU HAVEN'T PRESSED ANYTHING!" I finally figured out how to get to the next step and the kiosk immediately referred me back to an employee for help. So back to the counter I went and was further ignored until rude employee #2 (guy w/dark hair and glasses) emerged from the back. I remember the days when an Amazon return was a simple scan of a QR code, you hand them the package, get a receipt and are on your way. Well, apparently no more. Now, you need to search for a link in your email, email it to the store and be charged $1.69 for printing out the label for your "free return." Then the guy asked if I wanted to purchase a box and I asked, "do I need to?" and he said yeah. Well then, why bother asking me if I wanted it, if I NEEDED it?! Exasperated, I reached for a nearby shipping envelope, when the guy snapped at me that he had an envelope and didn't need to take one from there. I paid, they guy handed me my receipt with no words, only an attitude, and I left (20 minutes later) with an equally annoyed attitude and late for work. NEVER AGAIN.

They even recycle the boxes so sometimes I'll empty my products if I have time so I can give the boxes and not have so much to carry. The price for my box is reasonable for three months as I'm transitioning to a new place and what I love most is that it's a physical address making receiving packages easier. I wanted to acknowledge some of the staff who stand out every time I come making my experience stress free Always so helpful and cheerful attitude Thank you violet joshua and Jocelyne !!

THIS LOCATION NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! This location needs immediate attention from corporate…read more I went into this store to ship a package using a prepaid label containing time-sensitive materials valued at approximately $1,000. The employee assisting me, Jesus, placed the wrong shipping label on the wrong package. Because of this error, the recipient received a $2 calculator instead of the materials we shipped. When I called the store to report the issue, the manager, Josh, was immediately rude and dismissive. He falsely accused me of yelling, told me I needed to come into the store to resolve it, and then hung up on me. I then went to the store in person and spoke with a woman named Violet. I calmly explained the situation, but she was extremely condescending and refused to take any responsibility for the mistake made by their employee. Instead of trying to help resolve the issue, she told me I needed to take it up with UPS corporate. What made the situation even more disturbing was that Violet accused me of coming into the store "aggressive," which was completely untrue. I was calm and respectful the entire time. As a Black woman, being immediately labeled as aggressive when I was simply trying to address and resolve a mistake made by the store reflects the harmful and tired "angry Black woman" stereotype. That stereotype does not apply to me, and it should not be used to dismiss legitimate concerns from customers. Instead of taking accountability for a clear error made in their store, the staff chose to be dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. I will be filing formal complaints with UPS corporate and the Better Business Bureau regarding both the mishandling of this shipment and the way I was treated. If you want to avoid the headache and disrespect, I strongly recommend going to the Figueroa location, where the staff are professional, helpful, and actually customer-service oriented.

Parking: There's no dedicated parking for this UPS Store on…read moreFigueroa. Only metered parking on the street, and it's usually hard to find a spot. We always go as a pair one drives around looking for parking while the other gets down to drop off the package. Wait Time: When I arrived, there were two customers being helped. Surprisingly, there were two employees working (which is rare for such a small store, but maybe because of the holidays). I waited about seven minutes before I was called. After me, about four or five people lined up, so it can get packed quickly. Service: I was just sending out a package related to health insurance. It was super quick. I handed it over, they scanned it, and gave me the receipt sticker. The employee was fine, not rude, but not overly friendly either. Just did the job and said thank you. Store Size & Atmosphere: It's a very small location. A customer was on the side loading a bunch of boxes onto a trolley which made it feel even more crowded. There's also a "For Lease" sign on the side of the building not sure if they're moving or if it's for another unit, but they've been there a long time. Product Quality: I didn't buy anything here, so I can't comment on the store products. Value: I wasn't charged for my shipment (it was covered), so no comment on pricing either. Overall: Quick drop-off, small and busy store, challenging parking, but the wait wasn't bad for me. Good for simple, fast package sending.

On Saturday morning, July 26, I experienced one of the most humiliating and upsetting encounters…read moreI've ever had while attempting to pick up a work-related package for myself and my coworker. What should have been a simple errand turned into an emotionally exhausting ordeal that left me shocked, disrespected, and targeted without cause. When I arrived, I provided the employee with all the information I had: my coworker's full name (not just her nickname), the tracking number, and even showed him the confirmation email. I made it clear this was for our job. Still, he refused to release the package. He fixated on minor discrepancies, such as me not mentioning her nickname "Joe," even though I clearly stated her full name. When I asked if I could call her to clarify, he allowed it--but when she identified herself over the phone, he still refused, citing a phone number from the shipping label that neither of us knew. At that point, it was clear: nothing I provided was going to be "enough" for him. This man was unnecessarily combative, unprofessional, and cruel. He seemed determined to block the transaction regardless of how much I tried to comply. I pleaded with him, explained this was for work, and even showed additional proof. He dismissed everything. His tone was harsh, his energy mean-spirited, and he even bragged about denying another customer their package as if withholding people's deliveries was something he enjoyed. As tensions rose, he began to insult me. He made inappropriate, racially charged remarks and called me "stereotypical." I was in disbelief. I was being targeted--not for what I did--but for daring to question him, for standing my ground, for not backing down like others who've dealt with him. I became visibly upset, even raised my voice--yes--but only because I was desperate to fulfill a responsibility for my job and was being treated with such blatant hostility. It escalated so badly that even my coworker, still on the phone, heard the horrible things he said to me and was just as stunned. Another customer tried to defend him, but I was clear: I gave this man all the right information except a nickname--and still, he acted like I was a problem. I wasn't. Eventually, after my coworker and I threatened that the company we work for will get their money back since he refused the give the package, he threw the package at me and told me to leave. Not handed--threw it!!! It was demeaning, completely uncalled for, and done in front of witnesses. I don't know if his behavior was racially motivated, rooted in prejudice, or simply power-driven, but I do know it was cruel and absolutely unnecessary. I left that store feeling violated and defeated. Later, I spoke to a family member who lives nearby, and she shared that she's also experienced his aggression and now refuses to use that location. The only difference is, I spoke up. I questioned him--and that's why I believe I was treated even worse. But going forward, I will be doing the same as her: redirecting all future deliveries elsewhere. I would rather travel farther than ever deal with that level of disrespect and mistreatment again. No one should be treated this way for trying to pick up a package--especially not in the name of work.
