WORST experience ever at Village Nails. My technician was incredibly rude and far too aggressive while filing my nails. She actually cut me with the file, and when I instinctively pulled my hand back, she snapped at me to "stay still." No apology, no concern -- just attitude. To make things worse, I found out Sun and his wife are no longer there, which explains the decline in service and overall atmosphere. Level of service depends on how busy they are. Sometimes my pedicure is great, other times it lasts 15 minutes. My last straw here was I didn't soak, scrub feet with zero of the product they usually use, didn't file. She was moving so fast that she kept hitting my toes with the light. Today, I went in for a simple gel manicure. Sat down at 2:50 and was released to pay at 3:08. They had me in and out in 18 minutes. They did not soak my hands, clean them up, clean under the nail, shape them... and the tech argued with me about why he couldn't do the white glitter that was shown on one of their example nails. Then after he was "done" one of the nails wasn't fully painted with the clear and he argued and said it looked dull because of the lotion... even though I had just washed it all off. He finally painted it with clear again. They charged me $30 and honestly, I shouldn't have paid. Also, every single time I go- they literally never have the color I choose... they usually just try to match it with the closest color available. Will not be back. read more

I had made an appointment a week in advance with Jason, arrived tonight at 5:32pm for a 5:30 pm scheduled appointment. they staff let me select my nail color, I sat for 25 minutes and told Jason wasn't feeling well and couldn't come in. now, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that at 6pm if Jason isn't already in then had no intentions on being in. she offered someone else who she swears can do acrylic nails but I would have to wait another 45 minutes. New to town & this place had the most/best reviews. Wait was a little long but I was a walk in. Went in for a gel mani & pedicure. The lady I had was great. She spoke very little but when she did, English is definitely her 2nd language so I didn't hold a conversation with her. Pedicure was up first. She trimmed my toe nail & nail bed nicely. Great massage!!! I got a bright color & it looks great!! Gel mani was good with the same woman. Shape of my nails is even with the others. I did a light color & asked for a 3rd coat, no problem. We made an appointment for a group of us, and as these things normally go, they didn't have enough people to accommodate us and it took hours. SP must have low standards or the salon has declined since that vote. I had to pick 5 different colors because they could not find the dip powder. The shelves were covered in nail dust and does not look like they have cleaned for some time. I was sat at the bar and the nail tech stood like a bartender doing my nails. I watched them tell another costumer who had an appt that their tech came at 10am when they don't open till 11, and they be left because they didn't come. The costumer stated she made the appt for 11 because they don't open till then. She left as well. They aren't concerned about costumer service at all. I wish I could give this place a better review, but we didn't have a great experience. My friend and I had an appointment for 2 manicures on Sunday at noon when they opened. We got there at probably 12:03 and there were already about 15 people there. We told 3 different people that we had an appointment but they continued to take others. One girl came over and asked, "Who's next?" obviously the check in sheet was superfilous. At about 12:30 I was taken back to a seat and asked if my friend and I could sit next to each other. My friend was told to sit at the nail drying station and she was completely forgotten. They continued to take every person back that walked through the door and never came back to my friend. She was upset and decided she didn't want them to have her business anymore and left. Not the way you should treat customers, especially if they made the effort to make an appointment. I gave 2 stars because my manicurist was very nice and did a good job. Unfortunately, after 1 day my nails are already chipping. I have been going to this nail salon since it opened. At first I was very impressed with my nails and the customer service. Over time, however, I found that I was being used for training (I have acrylic pink/white powder fingernails) other technicians. In addition, customer service deteriorated. Phone calls being taken during service, conversations with other employees about personal issues, and being rushed while in the salon. The final straw occurred when I was in the salon with a friend of mine. She is approx. 50 years old. During her treatment she got very lightheaded and thought she might pass out. I got up to give her a drink and check on her (I was at the next station for 2 mins.) and when I returned the owner that was doing my nails had moved someone else into my seat and began doing her nails. I was told someone else could finish me when they finished the client they were working on.(and we had scheduled appointments) Nobody cared about my friend. She was very pale and diaphoretic at the time. The owner didn't even turn his head to see her. Never asked if she needed help. The long and short of it - if you go here and happen to have a medical emergency, then you're out of luck. If you have to go to the restroom during your treatment you may have someone else in your seat when you return. Go at your own risk! read more

When I asked the tech to do something that he had not done. He suggested I go another shop. I didn't know them, that that shop serviced mostly black. I'm not from the area. I got up, left to go find another shop and it happened to be the one ran by, an Asian/black lady.. So I now understand why he suggested I go there. I'm sick of giving my money to these unappreciated individuals. Blacks spend a lot of money for nails, hair (weave). Without us your business would go broke. After being a customer of this nail salon for close to a year, I've decided that even though they do have some very nice people the rude owner outweighed the good. I went in to get a full set after I had taken off my nails at home. I showed him a picture and said I want this he was kind and did okay! Well when he was done I couldn't not tell him I wasn't happy with my nails I was paying 45$ for so I told him these are not square can you file them on the sides, he says "NO you ask for square you got square" ....so I go to the owner that is doing my nanas nails and i said can you have him fix's these I really don't like them he says "if you don't like them why do you come" So unfortunately I will not be returning after going for so long and recommending them to many people !
