I have been a customer of Jay, the manger, for years. I had an appointment with him three times, all of which he canceled. The first time he said he couldn't do them because he was busy, which I understood. He gave me a time to return and when I did he said once again he was unavailable and asked that someone else do them, which I agreed to. But the entire time I was there letting the other person do my nails, he sat and did nothing the entire time, he had no appointments. The third and final time I went, with the appointment time of which he gave me, he said he over booked and could not do my nails once again. No alternative time was suggested. When I called to complain, my call was never returned. This is something I would not ever expect since I have been one of his loyal customers for years. Very disappointed! This was my second time at this salon. The first time I had a good experience and wanted to make this my regular spot. While my pedicure was great (minus a few moment of the hot stones being pressed in a little too much and being too hot), my manicure was bad. I asked for a design and if it was feasible for the guy doing my nails. He shook his head no, and I said: "No worries, I understand folks have different skills, I'll pick a simpler design." He then said that the design was easy but it's was "ugly" and I shouldn't get that. This is where I should've left, but I brushed off the comment and asked for a flower design (see pic with daisy-like flowers). He said he could do that and suggested doing an ombre, showing me an example that was heavy white with minimal pink. I said yes and we limited the flower design to one nail. The flowers came out with fat petals, looking nothing like the picture. The ombré was pink heavy and I had to ask him to change the pink since the first was BRIGHT pink and not natural looking. To top it off he filed my skin off (see pics of the cuts) on multiple fingers despite my hand jerking away. I may come back for a pedicure, but never for a manicure again. The most rushed & extremely rough pedicure I've ever gotten. The lady was using her nails to massage the shit out of my legs and feet. My head was banging into the chair each time she rubbed them. So not relaxing. Not to mention I knew better than to get a wax at a nail salon, but here is your warning... DO NOT DO IT. She used the same stick that was in the wax to redip each time. Never changed the dipping stick. She ripped off my skin on both armpits and now I have a bacterial infection. Disgusting and painful af. I booked the 60-minute Royal Signature Scalp and Massage treatment, but it was a disappointment from start to finish. The room was uncomfortably cold, and although they provided a small throw blanket, it didn't cover my feet--I had flip-flops on, so I was freezing the entire time. The water was also cold, and the technician got soap in my eyes and water in my ears. I don't think she knew what she was doing. Instead of a relaxing head massage, it was mostly aggressive scratching that actually became painful and there was some pouinding on my forehead. Not sure what that was. The shoulder and neck massage lasted maybe five minutes. Overall, it wasn't worth the price, and I found myself just wanting it to be over. ONe hour I can never get back! read more

I just moved to this area and had been looking for a new nail place. First I would like to say I cannot believe how I was treated. The pics say it all. I needed a fill in with powder. She tried to argue that I had acrylic nails. Finally she listened to me but when she did the fill in she made it so thick it looks like my nail is deformed. When I was explaining to her what I noticed (I am a licensed Cosmetologist by the way), she tried to blame it on my nails. They aren't even. I also got a pedicure, he cut me. While I was explaining to the girl about my concerns, an elderly man that works there was working on a lady's nails and he looked up and said "if she don't like it, she can leave and then he started laughing. After she told a guy there how she wanted her nails done, he told her she didn't want that. He then told her what she wanted. While doing her nails, the guy left the nails extremely long, so my wife told him she wanted them shorter. He again argued with her and told her they were fine. She insisted he cut them shorter, so then he grabbed her hand and jerked it towards him. He then proceeded to cut all her nails uneven. My wife had enough of the rude incompetence of this guy so she left. They obviously do not know how to do nails. I went in for a gel pedicure and dip manicure. I will start by saying the manicure was great, except the manicure part was skipped and they went right to doing the polish/dip part. No soaking my nails or caring for nail beds, no lotion afterwards or anything, but my nails look great. The pedicure was not enjoyable. After saying which pedicure we wanted many times and pointing to it as well, we were repeatedly asked to get the more expensive one. My toes were scrubbed so hard that one bled, and it was very rushed. I asked for a glitter color that I know when layered is very pretty. The nail tech chose a color she thought would go nicely underneath that I didn't want and told her that. She continued so I let her and it looked fine. In all my gel pedicure and dip manicure cost a whopping $97. I was so upset with how things went here that I will not be going back. read more

I had very unpleasant experience here this salon on Saturday, November 18th 2023. The nail lady "Rachelle" completely left my nails SCRATCHED from her utensils. The nail in the picture shown has not even ENOUGH GEL ON MY NAIL. It looks like it was done in a hurry. I still have nail polish on my skin from where she painted it. Once the polish has been "cured" from The UV light, it does not come off. Even me not a nail tech should know this from how many times I've been to the nail shops. I do not recommend this place. They laughed at me when I sat in the wrong chair by mistake. Really steps on a person's self esteem a little bit... I did a walk-in fill and my SIL did a pedi today around 3. They were able to take us both right away. I had come previously for my last set. I will say it was not that great. I'm kicking myself because I didn't get her name, but she sits on the right, third chair from register, and wears a red apron. My nails look gorgeous. I knew I wanted two colors, but the light one I chose clashed. She was quick to find a matching color, offered the perfect glitter, and adjusted the embellishments until they were to my liking. I was wary of the gel polish because of my previous set, but she blew that out of the water. Do you look down after your pedicure and say to yourself "It looks like I painted my own damn toenails?" That won't happen here!!! I highly recommend Tina A (there are two Tinas) and Tom. Tina is a whiz with the gel and Tom is bomb at dip!! So ask for Tina A. as she is a perfectionist and doesn't flood the cuticle during manicures (ver ver important) or ask for Tom because he's 1) hilarious and 2) super dedicated to making sure you like your service! Very entertaining and enjoyable experience. Bonus: Tom added tips to make my almond nails actually look even since my pointer and middle finger nails on my dominant hand are forever broken and short. Terrible experience with dirty tools and careless technician. My technician pulled tools out of her apron to cut my cuticles and file/shape my nails. I was uncomfortable to ask her to get a clean pair. She then proceeded to remove my previous gel polish with a nail drill and filed my nail beds so thin they are actually uneven and sore to the touch. There are so many nail technicians it seems almost impossible to find a good one in order to be able to request the same one each time. I would not recommend this nail salon. read more

Just don't go- I honestly feel sad writing this review because I am a decently frequent customer at royal and have gotten some great acrylic sets there specifically from Hannah and her friend. Recently I went and just got gel done by one of the men, who tried to convince me multiple times to change my design to something he could do, which was placing a red sticker on my nail when i wanted a hand drawn heart so the colors would match. Anyways i made another request for no acrylic powder and he laughed in my face repeatedly before explaining he had to use powder on the tips (which i understand), but wow what a dick. He got someone else to hand draw my two little hearts but they aren't great. I came in here for a pedicure and a fill in. The lady doing my pedicure didn't do the whole pedicure I got the aloe and orange. It comes with a mud bath for my legs. When she placed the hot towels on my legs, instead of opening them up to cool them off, she placed them directly on my legs and burned my right leg. I can take pain it normally doesn't affect me to bad but this towel was scorching. When I said that's way to hot it's burning me and lifted my leg to take the towel off, she proceeded to laugh and say oh to hot? And continued. I told her I was done I didn't want to finish she continued. Maybe a language barrier I don't know. I asked for a full set and pedicure when I came in the pedi was right away the full set I had to wait a while for. I will not be back. I'm in the area celebrating my mother-in-laws birthday. I had some extra time before getting the needed groceries. I am not one for writing reviews. But, from start to finish my experience was not that great. I didn't choose my color quickly enough. I didn't purchase the right combination of treatments - despite the fact that I spent more than $100. The biggest disappointment though is that the no-chip polish on fingers not only chipped within hours but have completely peeled off within less than 24 hours. I went for a mani/pedi as a walk in. As I waited to be serviced other walk ins got seated at the stations right away before me. Not a big deal. They did my pedi first. I get seated and the guy wonders away. 5 minutes later he shows up texting on his phone. The pedicure was done in less than 10 minutes and it was awful. He disappeared for another 5 minutes while I have the paraffin on. I left without painting my toes and without a manicure. I noticed other technicians also complete the pedicures within 10 minutes. This is the worst nail salon I've ever patronized. I went in for a fill in,cut down & Pedicure. The fill in was ok, tech only applyed 1 coat of the nail polish. I should have known the worst was yet to come. My pedicure was a disaster. My cuticles were not cut. Each nail was cut a different length. I sat under the nail dryer for 18 minutes & when I got home I noticed that my toes had my sock prints on them cause they didn't dry. I called back and informed them of this. I was told to come back, which I did the very next morning. I walked in and the manager recognized me , then spoke to his staff in their language, then told me to go take a seat back there. This little old lady came to me and ask what was she to do in broken English. I explained it to her. She then proceeded to remove a little of the polish ....then apply more polish...then attempted to place the toe dividers while the polish was wet...smh. Therefore the toe dividers when scraping the polish off. What an ordeal. The owner witnessed All of the shenanigans, and never came over to apologize for the inconvenience. I wasted time & money at the salon. I will never patronize them again. Poor customer service!! read more
