Pizza place purposely sold me a sauce that they did not own that was listed on the menu and when I got my order and told him that I'd paid for the sauce, they told me that they did not have that sauce and Hatton carried it in a long time. I asked him why they charge me for the sauce, And they said it was because I ordered it. I had to call another phone number to get a refund of $.50. We decided to grab some pizza tonight and it's been awhile since he tried village pizza so we ordered a calzone and meat lovers pie. I think for what you get that the prices are reasonable. They are usually on par with the bigg chain but I think there pizza is much fresher. It's not my favorite in Oklahoma but it's sure not bad. Their calzones I think is their shining star. After a few more visits this little pizza shop has really grown on me. I feel my original review did not quite do this place justice. So I'm just rewriting it. Here goes... First off, their cheese bread is delicious! Costs $3.99 -- cheesy, greasy, ooey-gooey good. The included tomato sauce for dipping is water thin, so be careful or you'll mess your shirt. Pizza here is inexpensive and has good flavor. Reminds me of Dominoes only cheaper. Simple hand-tossed pies (thin crust available) with a smattering of sauce, cheese and toppings. Crust light, not too thick, with a nice chew and fresh taste. Supreme is my favorite so far, slightly spicy, simple but yummy. Chicken bacon ranch is different than I'm used to, very cheesey but also tasty. Service is especially great here, run by a family that truly care about their customers. I do wish there were tables here to eat inside, it's takeout or delivery only. Delivery is $3.00. This is easily the best place for carryout pizza in the area. On my son's recommendation, we did a takeout order from Village Pizza. And, again, on his advice, we ordered a Taco Pizza with Cheese Stix. I have to say, we don't live in the Village area, but the food, the service, and the adherence to Covid restrictions here at Village Pizza is worth the drive. Not sure why I've never written a review about this local pizza gem. I absolutely love gourmet and artsy pizzas, but this is a place for a classic pizza. And they do classic pizza very well. It seems like the same guy answers the phone each time and the same delivery guy brings the pizza to the door each time and they're both great. The prices at Village Pizza are fantastic, too. I was looking for a reliable, solid pizza joint in the area and this place really delivered on quality and taste. Far better than any typical chain pizza- particularly the ingredients and overall taste (sauce, cheese, veggies, etc..) The staff is very friendly, and the owner usually greets patrons with a smile when picking up their order. The price is great-$6.99 for any pizza- and they don't skimp on the ingredients or cheese. The veggies taste fresh, and the cheese far better quality than the chain restaurants. The sauce is nice- not overly sweet like some other places make. The tomato flavor comes through. You know I'm from Chicago, so finding the elusive delicious pizza may be difficult outside of the states of Illinois or New York, but I digress.. we ordered the thin crust pepperoni pizza, a calzone, and bbq chicken wings.. decent prices, and I did enjoy the wings (I think they are baked...my husband did not). The pizza didn't have enough sauce, as many comments already indicate, and the cheese had a weird, waxy texture. The sauce really was a bit too sweet for my liking and it did not have enough flavor outside of being sweet. The crust was more akin to Domino's thin crust pizza, however it was a little bit better. The calzone on the other hand... Just did not like it at all. Didn't like the sausages (it was grey), the crust was more doughy than anything, and it just didn't have enough fillings. I really wanted to like the spot because of all the high ratings, but it just didn't deliver, no pun intended. Probably will be back for more wings though, hence the three instead of a two. read more

It was gonna be a two star review but the cheese sticks warranted that third star. We got a large thin crust half cheese half pep. The pizza was so thin with minimal sauce and cheese it reminded me of like a CiCi's or a Mazzio's type of pizza. We will go back but will be trying the normal crust.
