I was shopping at the Colonnade outlets and came across this restaurant. They had outdoor seating and the menu looked good. The service was great. The even brought over a little hanger stand for the shopping bags. A nice touch! So many choices on the menu but I settled on the lobster ravioli. It was a very filling dish. Especially for lunch. I couldn't eat the rest of the day. The sauce was a cream base with a touch of tomato and very flavorful. There were several large shrimp in the sauce. They were cooked perfectly. To start, they brought out complimentary bruschetta. It was delicious but if I knew how large the entree portion was going to be I would've skipped it. Or at least not eaten all of it. This classy Italian restaurant has been operating in The Colonnade Outlets for over seventeen years but this was my first visit. Beautiful spacious interior with a comfortable covered patio and two wine rooms. Took a seat at the corner of the u-shaped bar and had trouble pulling my chair under the bar top which was touching my thighs. To say the least it was uncomfortable dining but my wife and I like sitting at bars for the one-on-one service. Tonight the bartender Hugo served us focaccia bread with fresh tomatoes and evoo that was delish and got seconds. The chicken parmigiana was enormous with zesty tomato sauce and a side of thick mash potatoes and broccoli which I split with my wife. We also ordered a large bowl of mussels but they were undercooked with sand grinding in my rear molars. The bartender removed the mussels from the bill without any issue. Loved the coal fired pizza oven and the bakery. The gender assigned bathroom was clean and modern. read more

We went there for a holiday party with about fifty people. We started with the fried calamari and zucchini. The calamari was nice and tender, the zucchini was just as good. It wasn't overly fried and had good flavor. We decided to have the chappino for two, it basically seafood soup. It had lobster, shrimp, clams, muscles, white fish and some pasta. It came out already split from the kitchen. It was very good. Considering how many people we were, and we all had separated checks, the service was impeccable. The only thing that would have been better is if they used one of the cordless credit card machines, like clover to handle all the checks. All and all a great night. read more

Went from a great food experience to a bad one with the mussels that we're plentiful but mushy and sandy not sure if this is the norm here for these but the staff removed them from my presence immediately. This is an upscale restaurant so I was surprised that the kitchen manager or supervisor did not come out to meet with me to discuss the mussels which is common at nice places. I live in the area and unsure yet if I would return to try the mussels again since I don't know if those were their normal offering. Was out shopping with my brother at Sawgrass and decided to grab dinner somewhere. He noticed the reviews weren't the highest but still wanted to check it out. The claims about poor service were absolutely valid. We were seated and ordered. Our server once our food was delivered was never to be see again. However, the young lady who I guess was a busser that I saw twice came and hastily started clearing the table off. Grabbed the bread basket without asking if we were eating it. Just in a haste as if her shift was ending. I asked for the server. Mind you, I had only taken maybe 2 bites from my food and my brothers plate was empty by now which means our server never came back to check on us for that long. He was starved so he ate it but didn't like his at all either. Still no sighting of the server. To order another cocktail etc. My pasta and shrimp was bland. The stuffed shrimp was so overcooked I could barely pull it from the shell. And when the food came to the table, the same young lady came with the cheese she literally dumped a whole heap of Parmesan on top. But couldn't really understand English too well when I was asking her to ease up. Finally I was able to get the attention of our server who told me the food was cold that's why it wasn't good when I said I'd been looking for him. It's definitely cold 45 minutes later seated outside on a cool night. He took the plate away and returned with the bill and said it was taken off. We paid and left never to return. read more

Nice waiters and waitresses, checked on you enough, very nice. The interior and patio seating is nice. No complaints there But I go to a restaurant for the food, and Villagio falls short, very short. Now, I wouldn't say anything was bad. Everything was palatable, but just average at the very best. The pizza was probably the best thing we ate, it was a cheese pizza. The sauce tasted very generic like it came from a can, the bottom crust was a bit soggy. Alfredo lacked flavor, and the chicken was chewy. The farfalle was also a bit bland. Felt like they just added cream peas and salmon and called it a day. All in all, very Americanized Italian food. Nothing about it was very authentic. Honestly, some of these dishes are better at Olive Garden and at less than half the price. Don't waste your time. read more

This is, by far, our family's favorite Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is so comfortable, the food was delicious and the portions were huge. Our server Antonio could not have been any nicer or accommodating. My daughter has a gluten allergy, and he made sure she had her own bruschetta with gluten free bread so there would be no chance of cross contamination. Their gluten free spaghetti was so good that he was able to sell us 2 of their packages. We even took a gluten free pizza home, and he had them undercook it so that it can easily be warmed up and taste just like fresh. read more

We were told they were booked up complete and no tables available from 5-7pm on a Saturday night and we could always try the bar. We arrived at 5:30pm, grabbed a seat at bar and left at 6:30 after a good dinner. Dining room was less than 20% occupied the entire time we were there. Sat next to a lady sitting at bar who knew most of the staff. She was very strange and kept making uncomfortable comments to us as we tried to enjoy our dinner. Went to Villagio as a spontaneous decision with my husband and in laws after getting in a little bit of shopping at Sawgrass Mall. The exterior looked so grand and inviting that it drew me in, even though I'm not usually the biggest Italian fan. The tall roof and row of double columns out front with warm, glowing lighting in the evening were gorgeous. The South Florida winter weather certainly helped. We walked in around 8:00 without a reservation and they were able to seat our party of 4 immediately. The interior ambiance was appealing and spacious. We had two servers who both introduced themselves shortly after we were seated and brought us our water of choice minutes later. We skipped appetizers this time, but the complimentary bread and bruschetta that was brought out was lovely. We ordered pappardelle 3 gusti, chicken parm with no cheese, a margarita pizza, and an angel hair pasta with veggies. The portions were HUGE and took no time at all to come out. Our servers were attentive without hovering and brought us boxes at the end when all four of us inevitably had plenty of leftovers. The pappardelle was savory and the so and melty mozzarella pieces within the dish were a pleasant surprise in some bites. The meat sauce was not too salty and had good flavor. On a quick trip to this area of Florida, my mom, sister and I stopped by this fancy little Italian restaurant for lunch. The price tag has us raising our eyebrows. These were "dinner prices" but don't let the price tag shy you away. The portions are huge and the flavors are wonderful. This place has a read Italian feel to it. It brought be back to Venice. When seated they bring you warm, crusty, whole wheat sourdough and focaccia with bruschetta topping (tomatoes in olive oil). So good My sister and I split a Caesar salad and could not finish it all. If I wasn't catching a flight, I would have had it for dinner The had not one, but two gluten free pasta options for my mom, which was fantastic. Service is quick - maybe too quick. We were unfortunately too full for dessert. This is not a causal restaurant so we were definitely underdressed, but they took us anyway and were friendly. So, tip - split the dishes with your companion. You won't be able to finish the dish on your own! If I ever venture back there again - I will surely visit this place for dinner! read more

We enjoyed lunch here. The location is just on outside of Sawgrass mills mall. Their outdoor seating is very nice if it's not too hot out. The indoor has a full bar. Service was good and attentive. They brought out pita and tomato bruschetta which was a nice surprise. We had the Amalfi salad and it was loaded with fresh seafood salad and the dressing was delicious and now overpowering, perfect for a hot day. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with lunch their wine prices are very affordable with a decent wine list. The dessert was good we ordered lava cake and cappuccino. 8-21-23 Noon Came here after reading a review on Facebook on the Let's Eat South Florida page. It sounded so good that I bookmarked it. My work colleague was celebrating her birthday so I took her here for lunch. It definitely is the type of restaurant you would come for a special occasion. Since it is still extremely hot out we chose to sit inside. The tables had beautiful white linen tablecloths and the servers stood not too far away so you could get assistance very easily. I had ordered the fresh cod and in the description it was to come with Kalamata olives. Unfortunately it was prepared with Spanish olives the green with pimento instead not a fan. We started with a complimentary bruschetta with bread. It was delicious. For dessert they sang to her happy birthday and we both wrapped up our desserts to go as well as our remaining lunches. Portion sizes are large but these were also dinner portion and not a lunch menu. The cappuccino was good and gave me the jolt I needed so I wouldn't fall asleep at work after this large lunch. The tiramisu was excellent later and gave me the sweet treat I needed later in the afternoon. Definitely would like to go back their salads from the lunch menu sounded great. read more

If you're shopping at Sawgrass Mall, Villagio is a great spot to stop for a meal. The portions are large, but you can order a half portion if you want something lighter (which I really appreciated!). I hosted a business meeting here last night. The staff were great, the ambiance was perfect and the food was excellent. The bill came to just under $700 and I gave them my Chase card. They came back with the card and said they are having trouble with Chase cards and it wasn't going through. So I gave them my platinum Amex with no spending limit. They came back and said the card wasn't going through. I paid with Venmo in the end. The charges were stopped on their end by their merchant because it was a charge for over $500. But it made me look bad in front of my client like my cards were being declined. It was embarrassing and ridiculous. read more

The complimentary flatbread and fresh tomatoes are a great touch and absolutely delicious. Food and drinks are brought out at a great pace despite how busy and crowded they are. I ordered the Linguine Del Selvaggio (minus the mozzarella) and subbed the regular pasta with quinoa pasta. The portion was generous and the dish was savory. I've been here several times and I always manage to be able to try different dishes because of the kitchens' willingness to work with those of us with dietary needs/preferences. I've had lobster ravioli from many restaurants and even had it earlier in the week so I'm not sure why I got sick this time. My husband's chicken Marsala did not have one ounce of Marsala. The sauce had no flavor at all. It was probably the worst chicken Marsala we've ever had. The Alla Vodka pasta had no flavor at all, and tasted like it came from a jar. We were so disappointed. The tiramisu was really good. I came to Villagio with a couple of friends to grab early dinner. I have never been to this place and thought it was new but apparently it has been here a while. It is located in the luxury outlet section at the sawgrass mills mall. The restaurant is quite nice inside it is a little dated but it is still very pleasant. They need to upgrade the light fixtures but it does feel on the higher end. We were seated right away as we had a reservation. We were given the choice to sit inside or outside. It was a little windy so we decided to sit in the dining room. As we sat they brought some bread, but a friend of ours had to ask for some sort of bruschetta that they are also supposed to bring to the table. I didn't have either but they did look very good. Our waiter was an older gentleman and he was not rude but he was brusque and he hardly came to our table to see if we needed anything. In fact there was I believe was a manager going around, he came to our table more times than our waiter. He might've been on training I am not sure but every time the manager showed up to our table our waiter was not far behind. I thought it was a little odd, plus he was also rushing us to get our plates away from us I was halfway done with my salad when he was asking me if I was done, even though he hardly came by. I thought it was very weird. My quinoa salad was quite good, I added shrimp to it which made it a full meal it was quite satisfying actually. The wine was excellent, it was a Cabernet which I'm not sure what it was, It was recommended by the waiter, he did do good there.
