    Fried calamari and zucchini
    Gary F.

We went there for a holiday party with about fifty people. We started with the fried calamari and zucchini. The calamari was nice and tender, the zucchini was just as good. It wasn't overly fried and had good flavor. We decided to have the chappino for two, it basically seafood soup. It had lobster, shrimp, clams, muscles, white fish and some pasta. It came out already split from the kitchen. It was very good. Considering how many people we were, and we all had separated checks, the service was impeccable. The only thing that would have been better is if they used one of the cordless credit card machines, like clover to handle all the checks. All and all a great night.

The chicken parmesan was prepared perfectly and even the broccoli was plump and tasty. Went from a great food experience to a bad one with the mussels that we're plentiful but mushy and sandy not sure if this is the norm here for these but the staff removed them from my presence immediately. This is an upscale restaurant so I was surprised that the kitchen manager or supervisor did not come out to meet with me to discuss the mussels which is common at nice places. I live in the area and unsure yet if I would return to try the mussels again since I don't know if those were their normal offering. Also the bar counter was way too low for comfort but the dining room was beautifully designed.

Was out shopping with my brother at Sawgrass and decided to grab dinner somewhere. He noticed the reviews weren't the highest but still wanted to check it out. The claims about poor service were absolutely valid. We were seated and ordered. Our server once our food was delivered was never to be see again. However, the young lady who I guess was a busser that I saw twice came and hastily started clearing the table off. Grabbed the bread basket without asking if we were eating it. Just in a haste as if her shift was ending. I asked for the server. Mind you, I had only taken maybe 2 bites from my food and my brothers plate was empty by now which means our server never came back to check on us for that long. He was starved so he ate it but didn't like his at all either. Still no sighting of the server. To order another cocktail etc. My pasta and shrimp was bland. The stuffed shrimp was so overcooked I could barely pull it from the shell. And when the food came to the table, the same young lady came with the cheese she literally dumped a whole heap of Parmesan on top. But couldn't really understand English too well when I was asking her to ease up. Finally I was able to get the attention of our server who told me the food was cold that's why it wasn't good when I said I'd been looking for him. It's definitely cold 45 minutes later seated outside on a cool night. He took the plate away and returned with the bill and said it was taken off. We paid and left never to return.

The atmosphere was lovely outside. We had to ask for bread four separate times, the entrees came out before the bread did, everything tasted nice except the very salty and watery Alfredo.

Olive Garden is more flavorful, and half the price. Villagio looks like it should be a home run Italian restaurant, but it simply is not The service is good. Nice waiters and waitresses, checked on you enough, very nice. The interior and patio seating is nice. No complaints there But I go to a restaurant for the food, and Villagio falls short, very short. Now, I wouldn't say anything was bad. Everything was palatable, but just average at the very best. The pizza was probably the best thing we ate, it was a cheese pizza. The sauce tasted very generic like it came from a can, the bottom crust was a bit soggy. Alfredo lacked flavor, and the chicken was chewy. The farfalle was also a bit bland. Felt like they just added cream peas and salmon and called it a day. All in all, very Americanized Italian food. Nothing about it was very authentic. Honestly, some of these dishes are better at Olive Garden and at less than half the price. Don't waste your time.

Came here on a slow Monday evening Service: great service! The staff were super friendly, they allowed us to bring our small dog. Ambiance: it's nice and clean inside. The vibes are similar to a grand lux or cheesecake in terms of decor Food: portions are LARGE. Everyone in my group liked their entrees. we had enough left over for lunch the next day lol Overall 4/5

We went around 1 pm. Waiters literally running back and forth ‍... which should be a no-no. However, they were very attentive, and service was on point. This place is very busy on the weekends. We found their burger and chicken picatta just average. The Pinot Noir & Grigio perfectly paired with our meals. The ambiance is impeccable for casual or formal dining. We would try something else the next time.

Gnocchi - mix the cheese into the dish for gooey deliciousness

On a quick trip to this area of Florida, my mom, sister and I stopped by this fancy little Italian restaurant for lunch. The price tag has us raising our eyebrows. These were "dinner prices" but don't let the price tag shy you away. The portions are huge and the flavors are wonderful. This place has a read Italian feel to it. It brought be back to Venice. When seated they bring you warm, crusty, whole wheat sourdough and focaccia with bruschetta topping (tomatoes in olive oil). So good My sister and I split a Caesar salad and could not finish it all. It was delicious. I ordered the gnocchi and was stuffed after not even eating half the bowl. If I wasn't catching a flight, I would have had it for dinner The had not one, but two gluten free pasta options for my mom, which was fantastic. Service is quick - maybe too quick. We were unfortunately too full for dessert. This is not a causal restaurant so we were definitely underdressed, but they took us anyway and were friendly. So, tip - split the dishes with your companion. You won't be able to finish the dish on your own! If I ever venture back there again - I will surely visit this place for dinner!

Went to Villagio as a spontaneous decision with my husband and in laws after getting in a little bit of shopping at Sawgrass Mall. The exterior looked so grand and inviting that it drew me in, even though I'm not usually the biggest Italian fan. The tall roof and row of double columns out front with warm, glowing lighting in the evening were gorgeous. The South Florida winter weather certainly helped. We walked in around 8:00 without a reservation and they were able to seat our party of 4 immediately. The interior ambiance was appealing and spacious. We had two servers who both introduced themselves shortly after we were seated and brought us our water of choice minutes later. We skipped appetizers this time, but the complimentary bread and bruschetta that was brought out was lovely. We ordered pappardelle 3 gusti, chicken parm with no cheese, a margarita pizza, and an angel hair pasta with veggies. The portions were HUGE and took no time at all to come out. Our servers were attentive without hovering and brought us boxes at the end when all four of us inevitably had plenty of leftovers. The pappardelle was savory and the so and melty mozzarella pieces within the dish were a pleasant surprise in some bites. The meat sauce was not too salty and had good flavor. It comes with a mountain of Parmesan and definitely didn't need any extra. Would come again.

We enjoyed lunch here. The location is just on outside of Sawgrass mills mall. Their outdoor seating is very nice if it's not too hot out. The indoor has a full bar. Service was good and attentive. They brought out pita and tomato bruschetta which was a nice surprise. We had the Amalfi salad and it was loaded with fresh seafood salad and the dressing was delicious and now overpowering, perfect for a hot day. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with lunch their wine prices are very affordable with a decent wine list. The dessert was good we ordered lava cake and cappuccino. We have come several times and always enjoy it here, but we have never been for dinner.

Always great food, portions and service. Ambience is the best, nice music and there's some panettone for Christmas that looks delicious. Get it.

They are hearty and servings are big enough to be shared (if y'alls want). The place is classic looking and the decore is very nice and smartly done and very clean.... I always judge by washrooms. Their pizza are great and pastas are really fresh made. The wine is my favorite. It was our first time at Divieto ... although my husband thinks we've been there before. (Ummmm,…read moreno, no we haven't.) Anyway, in any case, we enjoyed it thoroughly, and that's why I'm doubling down that we haven't been there before - we would have been back! It was our anniversary and a Saturday, and fortunately we went early enough to avoid the rush. The hostess was lovely and, when I mentioned we usually like to sit at the bar, she said not to worry about our reservation and sit wherever we like. We ended up at a table because the bar was pretty crowded and we wanted a more quiet evening. So, Ben was our server and he was fantastic! He gave me a solid recommendation when I asked for his opinion, he was attentive without being a pest, and he had a great personality. I don't rave about a server, but he was a gem! We had a Caesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs and calamari. My husband said the spaghetti and meatballs were very good and the calamari was one of the best I've had anywhere - totally crunchy yet tender. (Thank you, Ben, for the recommendation!) The meal is served with a crusty bread and oil with balsamic, and I love a crusty bread. We were treated to an anniversary dessert of a brownie with ice cream, and who doesn't like that?! Anyway, it truly was a nice evening. I can understand why the reviews are so positive, and it's always a pleasant surprise when expectations are not only met but exceeded!

There were a few things that could have been a little smoother, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars, but overall it was a fun dinner and a good experience. We'd definitely consider coming back!

We ordered the filet mignon and the chicken Parm with penne à la Vaca sauce I will say the steak was outstanding. I listed in my top three filet mignon that I've had. There is nothing I could say bad about it, and I did not expect this quality of steak from an Italian restaurant. The chicken Parm was an nice size portion and had great flavor with the penny à la sauce. The reason I did not give them five stars is because the pasta that came with it was way overcooked and not al dente. It did have a mushy texture. As for the chicken itself, it had great flavor however, the breading on it was kind of doughy like it had sat in the sauce for too long before it was brought to our table. We are definitely gonna return to this location as we really enjoyed ourselves.

I was seated right away, and they even brought out a water bowl for my service dog without needing to ask. The server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered helpful recommendations, and confirmed they provide a 20% discount for military members and first responders on select meals, which is always appreciated. I shared a large Mona Lisa pizza topped with fresh basil, prosciutto, and thick slices of tomato. The thin crust came out perfectly crisp with just the right amount of char from the brick oven. Service was friendly overall, although it appeared the server may have been covering too many tables. Drink refills were missed, and it took a little while to close out the check. Even with that, the food, atmosphere, military-friendly discount, and service dog accommodations make this a place worth visiting for either lunch or dinner.

My mom ordered the "Italian Chopped Salad" which I told her I didn't want any of... until I tried it. There were so many flavors, all delicious, and the serving was enough for 2-3 people. I highly recommend starting out with this salad (although it would be a bit much if you're dining solo). For my main dish, I went with the lasagna and my mom chose the Chickenn Romano (I think). My lasagna came out in a beautiful Staub rectangular dish and was absolutely delectable! I can not wait to go back and order this again. My mom's chicken dish was also very, very good! I ordered a side of Brussel sprouts that were cooked to perfection. We were both so happy with our choices. My mom and I enjoyed a chocolate martini as well. The ambiance is definitely a date night vibe, especially if you sit towards the back. The front is more of a sophisticated bar vibe. The service can be improved as it took a really long time for things to come out for our game but not the other table and the server seemed awkward with a few things. With practice they'll get better. It won't deter me from going back again as the food was excellent! Kudos to the chef! Parking lot in the front with free parking.
