The chicken parmesan was prepared perfectly and even the broccoli was plump and tasty. Went from a great food experience to a bad one with the mussels that we're plentiful but mushy and sandy not sure if this is the norm here for these but the staff removed them from my presence immediately. This is an upscale restaurant so I was surprised that the kitchen manager or supervisor did not come out to meet with me to discuss the mussels which is common at nice places. I live in the area and unsure yet if I would return to try the mussels again since I don't know if those were their normal offering. Also the bar counter was way too low for comfort but the dining room was beautifully designed.

Was out shopping with my brother at Sawgrass and decided to grab dinner somewhere. He noticed the reviews weren't the highest but still wanted to check it out. The claims about poor service were absolutely valid. We were seated and ordered. Our server once our food was delivered was never to be see again. However, the young lady who I guess was a busser that I saw twice came and hastily started clearing the table off. Grabbed the bread basket without asking if we were eating it. Just in a haste as if her shift was ending. I asked for the server. Mind you, I had only taken maybe 2 bites from my food and my brothers plate was empty by now which means our server never came back to check on us for that long. He was starved so he ate it but didn't like his at all either. Still no sighting of the server. To order another cocktail etc. My pasta and shrimp was bland. The stuffed shrimp was so overcooked I could barely pull it from the shell. And when the food came to the table, the same young lady came with the cheese she literally dumped a whole heap of Parmesan on top. But couldn't really understand English too well when I was asking her to ease up. Finally I was able to get the attention of our server who told me the food was cold that's why it wasn't good when I said I'd been looking for him. It's definitely cold 45 minutes later seated outside on a cool night. He took the plate away and returned with the bill and said it was taken off. We paid and left never to return.

The atmosphere was lovely outside. We had to ask for bread four separate times, the entrees came out before the bread did, everything tasted nice except the very salty and watery Alfredo.

Olive Garden is more flavorful, and half the price. Villagio looks like it should be a home run Italian restaurant, but it simply is not The service is good. Nice waiters and waitresses, checked on you enough, very nice. The interior and patio seating is nice. No complaints there But I go to a restaurant for the food, and Villagio falls short, very short. Now, I wouldn't say anything was bad. Everything was palatable, but just average at the very best. The pizza was probably the best thing we ate, it was a cheese pizza. The sauce tasted very generic like it came from a can, the bottom crust was a bit soggy. Alfredo lacked flavor, and the chicken was chewy. The farfalle was also a bit bland. Felt like they just added cream peas and salmon and called it a day. All in all, very Americanized Italian food. Nothing about it was very authentic. Honestly, some of these dishes are better at Olive Garden and at less than half the price. Don't waste your time.

Came here on a slow Monday evening Service: great service! The staff were super friendly, they allowed us to bring our small dog. Ambiance: it's nice and clean inside. The vibes are similar to a grand lux or cheesecake in terms of decor Food: portions are LARGE. Everyone in my group liked their entrees. we had enough left over for lunch the next day lol Overall 4/5

We went around 1 pm. Waiters literally running back and forth ‍... which should be a no-no. However, they were very attentive, and service was on point. This place is very busy on the weekends. We found their burger and chicken picatta just average. The Pinot Noir & Grigio perfectly paired with our meals. The ambiance is impeccable for casual or formal dining. We would try something else the next time.

Went to Villagio as a spontaneous decision with my husband and in laws after getting in a little bit of shopping at Sawgrass Mall. The exterior looked so grand and inviting that it drew me in, even though I'm not usually the biggest Italian fan. The tall roof and row of double columns out front with warm, glowing lighting in the evening were gorgeous. The South Florida winter weather certainly helped. We walked in around 8:00 without a reservation and they were able to seat our party of 4 immediately. The interior ambiance was appealing and spacious. We had two servers who both introduced themselves shortly after we were seated and brought us our water of choice minutes later. We skipped appetizers this time, but the complimentary bread and bruschetta that was brought out was lovely. We ordered pappardelle 3 gusti, chicken parm with no cheese, a margarita pizza, and an angel hair pasta with veggies. The portions were HUGE and took no time at all to come out. Our servers were attentive without hovering and brought us boxes at the end when all four of us inevitably had plenty of leftovers. The pappardelle was savory and the so and melty mozzarella pieces within the dish were a pleasant surprise in some bites. The meat sauce was not too salty and had good flavor. It comes with a mountain of Parmesan and definitely didn't need any extra. Would come again.

Always great food, portions and service. Ambience is the best, nice music and there's some panettone for Christmas that looks delicious. Get it.

On a quick trip to this area of Florida, my mom, sister and I stopped by this fancy little Italian restaurant for lunch. The price tag has us raising our eyebrows. These were "dinner prices" but don't let the price tag shy you away. The portions are huge and the flavors are wonderful. This place has a read Italian feel to it. It brought be back to Venice. When seated they bring you warm, crusty, whole wheat sourdough and focaccia with bruschetta topping (tomatoes in olive oil). So good My sister and I split a Caesar salad and could not finish it all. It was delicious. I ordered the gnocchi and was stuffed after not even eating half the bowl. If I wasn't catching a flight, I would have had it for dinner The had not one, but two gluten free pasta options for my mom, which was fantastic. Service is quick - maybe too quick. We were unfortunately too full for dessert. This is not a causal restaurant so we were definitely underdressed, but they took us anyway and were friendly. So, tip - split the dishes with your companion. You won't be able to finish the dish on your own! If I ever venture back there again - I will surely visit this place for dinner!

We enjoyed lunch here. The location is just on outside of Sawgrass mills mall. Their outdoor seating is very nice if it's not too hot out. The indoor has a full bar. Service was good and attentive. They brought out pita and tomato bruschetta which was a nice surprise. We had the Amalfi salad and it was loaded with fresh seafood salad and the dressing was delicious and now overpowering, perfect for a hot day. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with lunch their wine prices are very affordable with a decent wine list. The dessert was good we ordered lava cake and cappuccino. We have come several times and always enjoy it here, but we have never been for dinner.

I had such a great experience here tonight. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish…read more We started with the calamari, which was cooked perfectly--light, crispy, and not greasy at all. The garlic rolls were insane... honestly some of the best I've ever had. We shared a house salad, and it was huge--definitely big enough to split. Everything tasted super fresh, and the balsamic dressing was perfectly drizzled and flavorful without being overpowering. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken parmesan with angel hair pasta. I'm pretty picky about marinara sauce (and I'm Italian, so I hold places to a higher standard), but everything was completely on point. The flavors, the sauce, the portion--just really well done. What made the experience even better was the owner coming over to talk to us. She shared details about the food and the restaurant, which made it feel really personal and welcoming. They also host special wine tastings at the end of the month with a curated menu, which I definitely want to come back for. We didn't try the pizza this time, but I already know I'll be back. They offer thin crust and even a deep dish that you can order ahead (about an hour in advance), which sounds amazing. It's a smaller place, but it's cozy, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be back--and next time I'm saving room for dessert (if I can stop myself from eating all the garlic rolls again).

Our server was pleasant, but once we had our food, he kind of disappeared. He took an especially long time when we were waiting for the check. As for the food, the best part of the meal was the bread. It was warm and delicious and our food runner/bus boy even gave us a fresh loaf to take home. My kids ordered plain pasta, which was fine ($7 each so not too bad). I had the chicken francese with pasta with marinara sauce. The francese sauce was too eggy and not nearly lemony enough. The marinara sauce was really more chunks of tomatoes than actual sauce. I will say the portion size was large. My husband ordered the salmon special with vegetables. The salmon was fine, but the veggies were hard and not at all seasoned. Overall, our experience was okay, but there are so many local Italian restaurants that I wouldn't come back to this one.

Took a seat at the brightly lit classy bar and met with the bartender, Wayne, who described some of the specialty foods and cocktails. The presentation of the large vibrant salad was exceptional which included the semi-hot pepperoncinis. The server grated fresh parmesan cheese over the salad in front of me providing a personal interactive experience. FYI: The salad and breadsticks were unlimited offerings. The breadsticks were the perfect complement to the salad and the creamy fettuccine - although five was slightly too many. The bathroom was clean and with basic modern amenities. The server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered helpful recommendations, and confirmed they provide a 20% discount for military members and first responders on select meals, which is always appreciated. I shared a large Mona Lisa pizza topped with fresh basil, prosciutto, and thick slices of tomato. The thin crust came out perfectly crisp with just the right amount of char from the brick oven. Service was friendly overall, although it appeared the server may have been covering too many tables. Drink refills were missed, and it took a little while to close out the check. Even with that, the food, atmosphere, military-friendly discount, and service dog accommodations make this a place worth visiting for either lunch or dinner.

I liked it so much the first night, I came back for lunch the next day. That says everything -- and…read morethe honest review lives in both visits. Louie Bossi's on Las Olas is exactly the kind of Italian restaurant that earns its reputation through the food and loses a half star through inconsistency in service. I visited twice in less than 24 hours -- Friday dinner and Saturday lunch -- both times without a reservation, both times solo at the bar. Fair warning upfront: book a reservation if you can. I knew the risk going in and own that entirely. Friday Night -- Dinner I was seated at the inside bar near the service window, which also happened to be adjacent to the bus station where dishes and silverware were being cleared and disposed of throughout the night. It was louder than the ambient restaurant noise you'd want for a solo dinner. Again -- a reservation would have solved this -- but it's worth noting that a table placement like that is a mild disservice to the overall atmosphere the restaurant works hard to create. That said, everything else Friday night was excellent. I ordered the Limoncello Spritz, which is exactly what it advertises -- bold, citrusy, and lively. In hindsight it wasn't the ideal pairing for Cacio e Pepe, but as a standalone cocktail it was genuinely well-made. The Cacio e Pepe, however, was the real story. House-made noodles, perfect texture, flawless seasoning -- rich without being heavy, simple without being boring. It was a 10 out of 10 pasta. My server Friday night was outstanding -- attentive, warm, and checked in on me multiple times without prompting even as a solo diner. That kind of awareness is what elevates a good meal into a memorable one. Saturday Afternoon -- Lunch The Cacio e Pepe pulled me back the very next day, and it delivered again. Twice in a row, same dish, same result -- that's a kitchen you can trust. The service, however, was a different story. I ordered an Amaretto Sour to start. It never came. My pasta arrived first, and only then did the bartender realize she had never made the drink. At that point I didn't really want it, but I drank it anyway. When I was nearly finished with my meal, I ordered an Amaretto on the rocks and asked to close my tab -- and again, the wait was significant. Guests who sat down after I requested the cocktail and bill had their drinks ordered and made first. By the time mine finally arrived, I was past the point of enjoying it and simply wanted pay the bill and head out. A stark contrast to the Friday experience, and genuinely disappointing at a restaurant operating at this level on one of South Florida's most prominent dining corridors. (Pictures attached from lunch) The Bottom Line Louie Bossi's is a must-visit on Las Olas -- the food is the real deal, the atmosphere has character and charm, and when the service is on, it's really on. But the bar experience at lunch exposed an inconsistency that's hard to ignore. The kitchen earns a 5 every time. The service earns a 5 one night and a 2 the next. Averaged out with everything else, this is a strong 4-star restaurant that has the ingredients to be a perfect 5 on the right night. Make a reservation, sit in the piazza if you can, and order the Cacio e Pepe without question. You'll be back. Meal type Dinner Price per person $60-70 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Reservation Reservations recommended Noise level Loud, but you can still talk Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Paid parking lot, Paid street parking
