I have a new build home that has been dealing with air flow problems since day one, a technician came out to install a damper because the air in my living room was to strong while my three bedrooms were not comfortable. I have been very patient with Villara techs. I have tried to speak to a supervisor or the owner of the company I was told that he would be emailed to call me back fine so I waited no response. i reached back out to the office i was placed on hold and a few times while the office lady was stuttering on why i couldn't speak to the supervisor I asked whats the owner name she told me I have to put you on hold. When she came back on the call she told me to speak with my builder. I have my registers placed in the wrong locations over my doors instead over the windows the tech told me it's by engineered design. One tech came out and bent my vanes on my registers. I also had a helicopter sound that was coming from the attic it was the gas line vibrating against the attic the same tech that bent all my register vanes told he didn't hear it I see they hire people a few people that don't troubleshoot instead rely on the next person or hope you get frustrated and say never mind. I'm fair and understanding but you can'y run the game on me but I hope KB does not use this company on any other projects because because it takes a lot of time and energy to the job completed I have been having issues since last winter through the now December. read more

Had an issue with our furnace - it was installed in spring 2018 by Villara in new construction. Paid $85 for assessment and given a quote for an additional $750.00 for repair. This included a parts warranty credit for $243 (total $ 1.078) so parts were paid for. I requested a break down of those "package" charges multiple times and kept getting the same BS from their customer service and service managers - package pricing is the only way they will quote and no line item info will be provided. Once the one hour repair was supposedly completed, I ended up paying approx. $ 700 for one hour of labor. SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS PER HOUR!! Gotta love their "package pricing" - icing on the cake is that 30 days after this flagrant rip off, the problem has returned. Had several blown fuses in the furnace, and was not able to identify the problem by my self. So I called Villara for help and they sent JR to me. JR quickly find the problem comes from the AC, and replace the broken conductor to fix the issue. The whole process takes less than one hour, really fast! The price is reasonable under the current inflation. read more

Kao Saelee and Raul Ibarra from Villara came out today to look at my AC unit because it has been making a loud sound and is not operating properly. As soon as I turned on the AC they immediately identified the issue and explain to me how the unit worked and how the condenser works with the unit. They were both extremely educational and I really appreciated that. They explained to me everything they were doing and told me what the cost would be. They were very understanding and knowledgeable in their job and fix the problem so fast! I have a home with a night breeze system installed when it was built and part of the system Villara sold to Meritage Homes. When I contacted Villara because the night breeze system was not working, they sent a technician and who needed to search for a leak, extra $300, oh, leak found, $3500 to fix that, and then when addressing the final issue of upgrading the night breeze system, $2300 for that, I was floored at the cost. The only reason I had them come in was my neighbor called them, they came in and charted $1200 for the upgrade of the night breeze. Really feel I'm being fleeced and extremely disappointed by this companies business practices. Really not sure why the cost double for me with the night breeze upgrade. read more

Aurelio was my technician on 9/12/2022. Due to the triple digits (hot) my AC was making noise. I'm truly thankful to have a technician to show up in a timely manner, professional, courteous, knowledgeable and has superb expertise who went above and beyond his task. He found no issue with my AC, but he did clean my condenser and return grill, checked my heater and explained my SMART system (which I had not used), he did informed me that my capacitor is getting weak and could possibly go out. Called Villara to fix an HVAC issue. Was told by another contractor I would need a new condensate pump. I called Villara and asked them to bring a pump to replace it. Turns out all it needed was a shorted wire replaced. Very helpful honest representative that had a green light to overcharge me , but didn't. Highly recommend them. read more

Villara Building Systems was hired by Lennar, the clowns who built my house three years ago, to install the HVAC system. I have had one problem after another with this brand new house, involving poorly installed toilets, flooring, shower doors, access doors, and other items. But the real topper is the HVAC system. I have had to have problems fixed FOUR times when the system quit on each of those occasions. This last one cost me $1500.00, even though the parts were UNDER WARRANTY! Villara installed an HVAC system their tech just told me might have been wrecked by something as simple as spider or other bug getting into the OUTDOOR A/C unit and causing a spark that travels to the unit in the attic and causes the control panel to basically blow out, causing $1500 in damage. If this were not so costly it would be hilarious. Previous to this, the tech told me that the reason my system quit is because it was installed wrong. Prior to that, the tech told me that the A/C unit had almost NO COOLANT in it, apparently because of a leak; he said he had never seen a unit that was in such a condition. I find it ridiculous that a brand new house has experienced so many problems in just over three years. The whole reason I bought a new house was to AVOID expensive repairs, but this house has been a nightmare. No wonder Lennar only warrants their homes for one year. And the same goes for Villara. Avoid these people at all costs. What a joke! read more

Today at 11:40am called to see where the service person was and was told they do not see my appointment on their system now. Ask for AURELIO!!! He came in at 11:15am and had my AC fixed/up and running within 30min. (Immediately diagnosed the issue) Even after fixing the unit, he recommended temperatures to keep my house cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Today, 9/15/2022 @ 07:14 pm, I received a return call from Paul the supervisor of Villara building systems. I was surprised receiving the call after office hours, considering their office was already closed for the day. Paul, guided me & assisted me with the issue I have regarding our home A/C. I told Paul the problem I'm having with the A/C & he immediately diagnosed & told me what to do in fixing the problem. With Paul knowledge & expertise, in less than 20 minutes tops, the problem we have been facing for the last several days were solved & the issue of our A/C is gone. We have been very fortunate, that the AC/HVAC systems when our house was built several years ago was installed by Paul's company "The Villara Building Systems." Villara employees, like Paul, Mustafa Nawrooz & all the rest of the professional staff are extremely helpful in assisting us with the AC/HVAC especially during this heatwave crisis. Brand new house and cooling system doesn't work!! Try calling customer service, good luck with that if it's a weekend! Their on call person will just ignore your requests! This company is a cheap ass joke! They just swindle the builder into using their systems and they either don't work or barely work. Then if they do come out they just throw a part in even if that's not it to get paid for the service call! This is the second time our system stopped working and the unit is leas than 1mo old!!! Not a reputable company at all. Installed our new furnace in a new home less than 3 years ago. Furnace went out within two years and came to replace it. Was a faulty heat exchanger which cost us $2,000 to replace a $300 part in addition to a service call to tell us about the heat exchanger for an additional $500. Neighbor noticed smoking from our exhaust pipe on the roof right after the fix and found that rodents-which were there during the service call- had dropped acorns into the vent onto the heater and were "cooking " on the heater. Another call, for $1500 , to clean out the acorns and put some mesh wiring over the vent. The repairman noted that the rodents had been up in the attic before, however it wasn't covered in the repair previously. Today had to have Kamps Propane out because we smelled a propane leak. They discovered that the valve to the heater was leaking-another faulty installation job, but now Villara won't ever service our community. Had to look for another furnace company to fix the problem but they are scheduled out till May. Don't need the heater right now but stay away from this company read more

Do not use this company. Two year old HVAC, with a freon leak. This is the second time this happened. Warranty was up, I called Villara, and I was originally told I would be charged. This did not sit well with me. So instead, I called around and had a different and reputable company come out sooner. If the same company did not fix the same issue last year, why would I go with them again? These are the facts and findings of the reputable company: 1. Corners were cut: Aluminum lineset was used instead of copper. As a result, the system includes both copper and aluminum. 2. The copper and aluminum piping were NOT welded correctly. 3. The repairs from last year were NOT welded correctly, nor was there any mention or attempt to fix the other welds. 4. The current freon leak (just like last year) is happening from these bad joints. 5. More bad workmanship was discovered from scrap pipe that was left over from the first repair. This should have been tossed. 6. Even if the welded joints were not leaking, it is not guaranteed they wont in the future. This is again, due to the poor quality of the welding. 7. The reputable company would not use aluminum, but instead would use copper to avoid this very issue. They quoted me $$$ to replace the aluminum with a copper pipe. That was their first suggestion to me. I would argue that ANY honest and reputable company would not have used aluminum. I would argue that ANY honest and reputable company would have made sure of a proper welding job and workmanship. Given these findings, I called Villara again. The soonest Villara can come out, is in about two weeks. That's bogus. I'm suppose we have to suffer in this heat wave, for something that should have been done right in the first place. For something that should have been noticed and fixed correctly in the second place. In addition, Villara had the guts to tell me that I would not have been charged if I had scheduled with them in the first place. That is bogus; let me debunk that: 1. The repairman from last year failed to do a proper weld job. 2. The repairman from last year failed to recognize the other bad weld jobs. 3. They should have known aluminum and copper can be tricky to weld. 4. They showed poor workmanship by leaving scrap parts lying around in the attic. Given these points, do you really think a Villara repair tech would really identify these issues? Do you really think they would say, "Hey this wasn't done right, so we won't charge you". I strongly disagree. As a result, we are suffering. The system is struggling to keep the house cool. I imagine this has been a waste to our electricity because I have to do something to try and keep the house cool the best I can. Which means I have to run the system and pray that it keeps the house cool long enough. Regardless, the system struggles, and the house gets uncomfortably hot. This has affected my health: I have felt dizzy from all of this. I have had headaches and had poor sleep quality from the heat. This is a company of bad quality, they cut corners, and have the guts to claim they wont charge you when I really think they would. Do not use this company. read more

I want to thank Villara for finding and resolving an issue I'd had with my home's AC since I purchased it new 5 years ago. Each summer we'd have the same issue, AC running non-stop but would never cool. I reached out to Villara and was put in contact with Alicia. She couldn't have been more personable, friendly, communicative, and understanding. She worked with my schedule and got someone out quickly. Paul was the technician that arrived on site. Within a short time, Paul located and resolved this nearly 5 year old issue! He was super friendly, exactly on time, and left us with a cool home. Fast forward a couple of months and the AC is still blowing cold, even during this heat wave. The customer service is horrible. My builder used them for the HVAC system and I've made sure to let them know the kind of company they chose. When the AC unit was not performing to code initially, they were friendly and came right out. When i called because the unit stopped working, they said they'd schedule someone the next day, then when they pulled up the account, they told me it would be at least a few days because I was out of warrantee. They only give good customer service in warrantee periods apparently. I explained that I have three children and an elderly parent living with me and the weather was over 90. The rep said it's their policy to only give preference to customers under warrantee. I called another company and had my AC back on within hours. read more

Mark Rhoades was amazing! It was 100 degrees here in Folsom and when I came home from work I turned on the air and the thermostat went blank! I had no idea how to fix this. I called Villara Building Systems and got Ben at the answering service. He took down my issues and said he would report it and that someone would be calling me back tonight. Thirty minutes later I received a call from Mark. He was on his way down from El Dorado Hills and would be here within 45 minutes. He got here in 20 minutes. He was able to diagnose the system, climb in the attic and fix the short within 30 minutes. He was so pleasant and kind, good with my granddaughter and my barking dog. This man deserves a raise.
