Yasyl's crew replaced my 1992 heat pump with a modern unit based on the lowest bid I received among seven. They also installed a new wifi-connected thermostat, even though the bid specified "no wifi connection", and donated a smoke detector for a bedroom that didn't have one. My AC unit stopped working back in October (weather was still hot) I called Vasyl AC, on a Saturday, he was recommended by my realtor (who got the referral from another realtor). Vasyl was very understanding and sent a technician to check out the issue. He was upfront with the cost to send the technician to diagnose the issue. Apparently, a control panel needed to be replaced and he informed me of the cost. He also informed me the the unit needed coolant and he also informed me about the cost. Here I am enjoying the cold air thanks to Vasyl! I moved into a new rental and when the hot season rolled in, I noticed that the AC struggled quite a bit in the afternoon, did not cool, and the airflow out of the vents was minimal. I Googled AC repair companies in my area and Vasyl's name came up. He has many great reviews and is local so I sent him a message through his website as well as to a couple of other companies. Vasyl called back immediately and said he would come by the same day. Right away he set out to discover what was wrong. He was patient and methodical and used an array of tools to diagnose the problem. He didn't try to oversell anything and explained everything that he was doing in layman's terms that I could understand. Turns out there was an inch of caked dust covering the indoor coil. Plus, the refrigerant lines were covered in ice. He cleaned the coil and also refilled the refrigerant in the condenser/compressor, and now everything works. He explained that it was likely that the unit had been operated without filters for a long time which allowed for the accumulation of debris in the coil, making the unit work harder, etc. Luckily, I'm the kind to order filters in bulk so I can change them every month. Anyway, I recommend Vasyl wholeheartedly. Prompt, punctual, communicative, respectful, and takes pride in his work. On top of that he is friendly and funny and his prices are fair and competitive. A few years ago Vasyl was the technician for another company and he came out and fixed my heater. He was quick and informative and the prices were reasonable. Yesterday, my AC stopped working and was just blowing warm air. I called another company that would have come out the next day, but then remembered I might still have Vasyl's number from before. He texted that he no longer worked for that company but had his own AC business. I asked him if he could get someone out same day and within 40 minutes Paul was at our house. The start capacitor was identified as the problem, replaced, and my AC was working again. I'm very happy to not have to wait a day in this heat wave. I'm happy I still had his number and happy that he is still working in the AC business, because twice now I've had it incredibly quick response and immediate solutions to my AC issues. My blower motor went out at 11pm during the record breaking heat wave of 9/2022. I immediately searched online for local companies that may be available the next day. Vasyl AC website asked for a description of the problem & contact info. Too my amazement, I received a text & email moments after. It said they would be here between 630-7am the next day and fix it! I was shocked and didn't believe it. I was contacted the next morning with a 10 min eta and Vasyl AC arrived exactly at 630. He was very friendly, professional, and even removed his shoes until he reached the attic. The problem was quickly diagnosed as a bad motor. He had the part in his vehicle, replaced it and had the AC working by 730! The price was fair and reasonable. I've never had a technician respond as quickly to my request, arrive at the actual time stated and solve the problem as well as Vasyl AC. I will definitely call Vasyl AC for my future HVAC needs.
