I never leave reviews. But this was unreal. I guess the service was ok. The food....holy hell. Terrible calamari app. Fried nothing. My wife's chicken parmigiana was just a rubbery piece of chicken with vegetables mixed with the sauce? What! My son and I got the pasta Scogliera. The most expensive pasta seafood meal...$32.00!! It had ONE shrimp, ONE scallop, ONE piece of calamari. The muscles and clams, 3 each, were smaller than anything I've fished with. Gross. The "snapper" part.....holy hell....it was a hidden piece of maybe a bluegill. It was less than a business size card of fish. Totally disappointed. And they add 3% because we paid by CC. Zero stars. Well Caffe Andiamo you redeemed yourself. Service was 5++ stars, and food was 5++ stars minus please bring back your focaccia bread! It's the best bread ever! My mom and came yesterday Tuesday afternoon for lunch a little after 12pm there was only one other table seated. So we got one of the nice booths. We were almost immediately asked what drinks we would like. Ice water and hot tea for my mom. My mom asked what the specials were and they brought them to us on the dinner menu while the fresh fish entree and zucchini parmigiana sounded good. I decided on the tonna salad (fresh ahi tuna) with a ginger dressing. So delicious and fresh and excellent quality tuna with a side of sautéed spinach. My mom ordered the eggplant parmigiana. We were brought the sourdough bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. So tasty and fresh. We both liked our entrees. I tried my mom's eggplant parmigiana and it was really fresh and wasn't heavily breaded and i prefer less breading. It came with sautéed vegetables and a fried mashed potato croquette. The portions were large so we had leftovers to take home. Service was prompt and friendly the whole time and I appreciated that. I look forward to coming back with my mom. read more

Do not even know where to begin...the waitress, the food..service was disgusting at best. We have never had such bad service and if we were not so hungry we would have walked out. The food is NOT authentic anything let alone Italian. Went for a late evening meal here. They were not super busy as it was nearing closing time. The service was great and atmosphere relaxed. We ordered the Salsiccia & Peperoni for an appetizer. Arrived hot and had great flavor. For my main meal I ordered the Capellini Pomodori. This was a good dish although I found myself wishing for more of a garlic flavor as the tomato was a bit overwhelming but still good. Overall a good choice for a meal. It seems my review is much more favorable compared with so many other recent reviews. Perhaps it is because I always get the same thing - gluten free Capricciosa (artichoke pizza). It's hard to find decent gluten free pizza and Andiamo does a great job - thin crust and tasty. My friend always gets the classic Margherita pizza and always enjoys it. I do love their Insalada Parmigiana, but noticed a much smaller portion last time I ordered it. They have a nice selection of wines - perfect to pair with Italian food. I tend to go here during non peak hours - so perhaps that makes a difference. During this last visit, the restaurant was packed inside and it was a cold night. Still - the heaters outside made patio seating very comfortable. I've always found the service to be good. So - based on reading other reviews, I will continue to stick with my menu selections. read more

Service- Melissa tonight-excellent Ambiance- Very nice Food-Primavera salad was tremendous, as always. Bread-Superb, as always Pizza-Quatro Formaggi-Good (to me but not my wife). We are locals & keep coming back for the bread & salad. We've tried numerous entrees & they (the entrees & pizzas) always seem, at best, mediocre (& pricey). I think due to its close proximity to the Sawgrass Marriott & a Hilton Garden Inn, they get a lot of transient tourist business & therefore don't give a flip about food quality & price. The piped in musak tonight was 50's pop, I'm talking Buddy Holly...which we found very odd & cast a rather weird vibe for a somewhat elegant Italian restaurant. At least it wasn't loud, thank goodness. Lastly, my wife asked to sample the pasta e fagoli soup. Our server, Melissa, went off to ask & returned saying the kitchen would not accommodate a sample of the soup, which we found astoundingly shi**y. Unbelievable, as a matter of fact. And since my wife fought me about coming to Caffe Andiamo in the 1st place, it only confirmed her opinion & forced me to eat my hat..which tasted about as good as their pizza. Went for pizza and salads Monday night. Very busy at 5:30. Very cold so outdoor dining al fresco was out of the question. Sat promptly ordered caprese salad and house salad. Each were perfectly prepared and delivered with fresh cracked pepper, balsamic glaze and parmigiana. Pizza consisted of pineapple and mozzarella. My favorite sweet n sour. Second pie was margarita. Dough was fresh, baked to perfection and the sauce was on point, not too sweet. The Chardonnay wine was perfect accompaniment to the meal. Haven't been back for many years and now I know why. Went on Friday night at 5:45 expecting it to be busy but actually got seated right away. Ordered the shrimp and linguini. Same pizza sauce was used on all dishes requiring a red sauce. the veal was pounded paper thin and smothered in a thick brown gravy as if to hide the nonexistent veal on the plate. I visited this restaurant last week and ordered pizza--the pizzas were very good. However, this week my friends and I ordered different pasta dishes, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. My pasta was cold and stuck together, and my friends also found their dishes equally bad. What the hell happened to Cafe Andiamo? This was a great restaurant. Awesome location. Great interior. We've been coming here since the early 2000's. Tonight's experience was awful. The Rustica pizza was the soggiest pizza we have ever had. And, looking around the place, everyone's pizza looked the same. Light on toppings and soggy. The insult-to-injury was the 3.5% surcharge to use a credit card. WTF? So disappointing. I hope they get the message and adjust a few things. read more

Well, I have not been back to Cafe Andiamo in a while. I am reducing my 4 stars to 3 because my wife and her girlfriends still like the place. Things have certainly changed and by looking at the number of only 3 stars I think my observations are shared by others. So, first. In Ponte Vedra Beach, I don't believe you should charge for bread or add 5% to the bill for using a credit card. We ordered fried Zucchini and the portion was enough for one person; it was way too small for $13. Why all of a sudden these financial changes? To the owner, we have all lost money these past 4 years. If you want to keep your profit the same, you have to change they way you operated this establishment for years and that's exactly what you have done. I, for one, don't like it. I ordered pasta with white clam sauce and the pasta was not cooked enough. I did not send it back because when you are with other people, everyone feels uncomfortable for you. This use to be our go to places as I mentioned in my former review. Not anymore. Service, btw, was very good. read more

Food here always good, but there are some oddities time to time. This visit-ordered clam appetizer in garlic and oil. Great flavor! 6 or so weren't open, so I told the waitress and she took em back. She comes back and informs us that she's having the kitchen open up the clams for us. I tell her that typically an unopened clam means it's bad. She goes to confer with the chef, who tells her that's correct, but we were given way too many clams anyway. WTF? Really want to love this place, but you gotta have a thick skin. read more

I haven't been to Andiamo in a while so decided to try it for lunch. It is a cozy, restaurant with good Italian food, up-to-date decor and a friendly server who I think has been there for years. Even my non-Italian salad with seared tuna, walnuts, ginger dressing and a light wasabi dipping sauce was delicious. My friend had a chicken parmesan sandwich with extra sauce. She was starving when we arrived and was very pleased with her meal, including ample leftovers for another meal. I see people writing that they enjoyed this restaurant, had good service, no negative comments, and then give a stingy 3 stars. Retired school teacher much? I love this place it was actually really cute find. We had the Noche with cheese and a tomato cream sauce which was actually good and also tried the lasagna the lasagna to me was actually very flavorful it was layered perfectly and tasted really great also had the meatballs and meatballs were okay. The service was very good the waiter was very attentive and the place is actually very pretty inside I would actually recommend it if you have a party that you want to just have a great time to hang out and to celebrate really nice. Wow! This was a great find. We were visiting from out of town and were just passing by when we decided to stop in. They have brick oven pizza which was amazing. All our food was very fresh and homemade. The decor is upscale but not pretentious. Our waiter Chad was amazing and friendly. My girlfriend took me there for an early dinner as a birthday gift. What a treat!!! We shared an appetizer of meatballs and a green that she, being Italian, knew of and loved - it was a bit bitter for my taste, but I still enjoyed the experience of trying it. We both had the shrimp in the lemon sauce with bread crumbs. This was served with a mix of sautéed vegetable and potato croquets. All of it was yummy but left no room for dessert. Our group of 10 tennis ladies could not make a lunch reservation as the restaurant doesn't take reservations . They seated outside. It was cold and we complained as we had just gotten off the courts. Should have known from the moment we walked in when the little blonde hostess was a bit snooty and said the wait was 5 minutes and it turned into 25. She said the server was leaving and we were waiting on his replacement. Well his replacement was late. And when we ordered, he was super unfriendly, didn't want to answer any of our questions. Felt rushed to order. Asked for bread for table since we had 2 hungry kiddos and it didn't come out until food came. I ordered Pollo Parm and asked for Alfredo instead of marinara - came out with marinara. When I said oh, I think they made it wrong, the server looked and said oh yeah, sorry about that. He then rudely sighed and clicked his lips and said "do you want them to remake it or something?" With that, I said nope, nevermind. My mom ordered linguine scogliera which should have had clams, shrimp, calamari, scallops, fish, and mussels and it came with ONE shrimp, a few clams and 2 mussels. No calamari, no scallops, no fish. The noodles were super chewy and undercooked. My sister asked for a straw for her son and the server waited 10 minutes to bring it out. I think the servers name was Gabriel even though I check said Richard. He never once asked us how our meal was, never asked if we needed anything. I'm only giving one star because I have to, otherwise I'd give it zero. I thought when the bill came, he'd atleast have comped a percentage off for serving the wrong food alrogether and for the Scogliera not even having the items it should have. This was our first time here and we were so excited to try Caffe Andiamo, but this was a huge let down and most definitely our last visit.
