Vincenzo's Pizza has the fluffiest and more garlicky garlic knots Aside from their absolutely amazing garlic knots, we had their spinach slice, mushroom slice, and chicken marsala slice. The spinach slice was just heavenly, it was like having creamed spinach in the form of a pizza. Very heavy but your soul is happy. The other 2 were also fantastic in their own right. The service was fast and friendly and it's so clean in here, I thought it was a grand opening. There are plenty of pizzerias in my area but I'd gladly do the 15 minute drive to Vincenzo's any time. read more

I ordered from here and tried the Tricolor Tortellini and New England Clam Chowder. The tortellini was good, well-seasoned, and the pasta was cooked al dente. The soup was okay, but it wasn't something I would order again. I decided to try something different the second time and ordered the stuffed mushrooms, Linguine Seafood Fra Diavolo, and a cannoli. I didn't enjoy the stuffed mushrooms at all. The mushrooms themselves were cooked well, but the filling (the most important part) lacked flavor and wasn't as savory as this dish typically is. The Seafood Fra Diavolo wasn't that good & the shrimp was very mushy, to the point where you barely needed to bite into it. The mussels barely had any meat & it was stuck to both sides of the shell. I didn't enjoy that at all. The cannoli also had very little filling, which was disappointing since I enjoy a cannoli every now and then. I can't say whether I would order from here again, since my second order was really disappointing. The two stars are only for the tortellini. If I do decide to order from here again, it will probably be quite a while before I do. read more

Vincenzo's has expanded by taking over the store next door and not only doubled their square footage space, but raised the ceiling up and knocked down the intervening wall for a more open dining room. It is amazing compared to that small pizzeria from just last year. This is their 50th anniversary year, so the expansion is well justified. What has not changed is their food quality, which has always been good. Also being down the street from St. John's University helps keep them in business. The display cases have a whole range of specialty pizzas if you're looking for a quick slice, from regular sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom to buffalo chicken and penne alla vodka. You have a choice of Neapolitan, Sicilian style or a nice Grandma. There are also stuffed sausage, spinach & chicken rolls, but if you want a whole custom pie, they will make one up fresh for you with whatever toppings you would like. We came in recently to grab a few slices for lunch and my BIL ended up ordering a couple of kitchen entrees to share, as well. The Chicken Parmigiana is great with lots of gooey melted mozzarella and comes with a side of pasta marinara. We also had the Linguini with White Clam Sauce with both chopped clams and clams in shell, that was really tasty. I like that the sauce is a little creamy and not runny and would definitely get it again because it's one of my favorites. So whether you're working late cuz you're a singer or you're that one boy that won't stop calling and all your give-a-*flux* are on vacation, don't worry because Vincenzo's is open until 10:30pm to feed your pizza cravings. I really apriciate this place I live closer to Napoli and Ginos but they make you get their large size pastas , at vinnys you can try a few pastas because they offer a small size and you can add meats for only $3 They are so fairly priced and not to mentioned their food tastte so much better than napoli ginos and any other place near by I tried them all . Go to spot at my school and food is yum! Their pizzas are amazing, $2.75 per normal slice and $4.95 for specialty topping slices. Their bbq chicken was good and liked my friend, the mushroom pizza was amazing and I loved it. The dining area is also very spacious, new, and fresh. Bathroom inside as well. I come here often on my lunch break since it is walking distance from my job. All the staff are so friendly and sweet here. It is a typical pizzeria inside. The pizza here is delicious. Prices are super reasonable - a large pie with full toppings & one order of garlic knots comes out to around $22. Pickup & delivery are both fast. Just ordered from off the slice app. The cheese pizza was delivered lukewarm and tasted generic, but the bbq wings were hot. Make that make sense. Also had a musty smell to the bbq sauce, guess homemade. To top it off my soda was opened because the cap was broken and when I opened it, I didn't hear the seal break . They don't make it like they used to. That cliche statement that we're all too familiar with resonates with me for Vincenzos' slice. I've been going to Vincenzo's for quite some time and within the past 6 months they have changed ownership. The new owners assured me they kept the same recipe and will IMPROVE on the quality. The first time I had it under new ownership, it was on par with my previous pies. However, the one I had last week was skimpier than the outfits I see at the gym. Seemingly cutting corners on the size of the slice, the amount of cheese as well as sauce. If they could get it made in China and reheat it for us, they probably would. After reading the reviews for this place I decided to order a large Vincenzo specialty pie without the sausage. The delivery guy was nice and the order came exactly when they said 30 to 40 mins. When I open the box it looked and smelled wonderful....i almost drooled...lol... BUT ..after the first bite the dough was soft and soggy but got crisper closer to the crust...so basically the center of the pie was a little soft??...My fiance who's a chef said its because of all the bell peppers and onions they put it in the center. I just thought the pizza could of cooked alittle longer..?..Overall the pizza tasted good but I'll try a regular pepperoni pie next time to see if a soggy center is the norm here..if not I'll give 4 stars next review........ It was my first time here and their display of slices looked amazing. However, the staff members were definitely not welcoming and seemed very aloof. By all means, this place used to be good for St. John's students as I've been coming here for over 5 years. The staff has always been iffy and rude so their pizza was all they ever had going (watch if they wear gloves when grabbing your slice, they don't always). About a year ago, things took a major turn for the worse ever since new management took over. There used to be dollar slices for cheese on Mondays and Wednesdays which budgeted SJU students loved. Then they decided to increase the price to $1.25 and only make the deal on Wednesdays. No big deal really I can understand that. However, now they have eliminated this deal and increased the pricing per slice on all slices. They realize that the students are there primary customers and the majority of them have no means of transportation. These changes were all made with profits in mind and no care or concern for the primary customers. I wish Vincenzos well but I can not ever fathom the idea of giving this GREEDY establishment money. read more
