My dad has been to Vince's many times over the years, and he told me many times that Vince's is the best place to get spaghetti. So yesterday we went there for national spaghetti day. We arrived about 45 minutes before they opened up and the parking lot started to fill up. Once we got inside the waitress greeted us and was very pleasant. We ordered a pitcher of Coors Light and the waitress said that they were out. So, we ordered Bud Light, sorry we're out, ordered Modelo, ten minutes later a man, maybe the manager came and said that they were out of Modelo as well. Really, who does the bar ordering? On a busy weekend no draft beer except micro brews? My dad and I both ordered the full dinner for just under $27.00 each. Our salads and vegetable beef soups came out a few minutes later. My salad was mostly the end of the salad, a lot of thick white chunks. Our soup was mostly broth, nearly no vegetables and no beef. The spaghetti was cooked al dente but the meat sauce was extremely watery and not very flavorful with not very much meat. My dad was very disappointed in the meal. read more

I've gone there once food is very basic my daughter loves the chocolate milk it's homemade and I believe so it's a ranch it's good if you're very into spaghetti but it feels like something you can make at home some staff is nice the young girls are a little immature not as attentive as the older ones. Personally I wouldn't go back but it was a cool experience nothing special. read more

By far my favorite comfort food in the IE area! I've been crazy about this place since the first time I came across it. The location has ample parking and can also get a lunch and/or dinner rush, so plan accordingly. I've ordered food for carry out and also have had sit down meals as well, I like the servers and employees here. The food is pretty cheap and very tasty. My fav order is the spaghetti and meatballs!! I wish I could order this whenever I needed a hug, they give you soo much food for what you pay I absolutely love it. The food is flavorful and fresh nomnom. They also have plenty of deals and specials available to choose from. The place attracts a wide variety of people, from couples on dates to team dinners so the ambiance is pretty chilled and relaxed. Consistently delicious all these years!! I've grown up on Vince's and I still love it! The sauce is so good that when my brother moved to South Dakota every time he came to visit he would take Vince's sauce back home with him!! It's just a little different then everyone else's sauce. I also love the soup and the bread is crave worthy. The family special is great deal if you want it all. A full order feeds the hubby and I for two dinners!! First off, if you grew up in the Eastern San Gabriel Valley or the Pomona Valley you know Vince's or you were robbed of a childhood. It's just a staple of growing up in Eastern LA County or Western San Bernardino County when it comes to Spaghetti and you know this by the sheer volume they serve every night. The Cuccia Family built something special a very long time ago. There is a very large waiting area that can get drafty at times and you always find large groups being served. I've sat in the darkest and brightest locations in the resto. Heck, my step-father had his college graduation dinner here two years ago. So the choices are pretty easy, you either want the whole order, or the half. The whole order will feed two hangry lumberjacks though. The half-order would feed a couple if you get two salads and bread. Service is usually pretty stellar, if I'd started checking in on yelp when I started coming here (BY) I could tell you it hasn't changed. The volume they push tends to require dinner carts for everything. I've never been a fan of their salads, however the vegetable beef soup is always on point. read more

I can't believe I have not Reviewed this place before. I have been coming here for more than 3 decades and it is always a special treat. We said how this place has not changed in 30+ years and that is a good thing. So we have always ordered the same basic meal, the half order dinner special which includes the half order of spaghetti or mostaccioli. We typically get a side of cheese to add to the soup, salad and even the spaghetti. Since I am vegan, I now choose the vegan sauce on the spaghetti and I don't add the cheese to my plates. My family loves the French dressing but the soup is made with beef so I get a double portion of salad. Since I have been coming here for years I can tell you that the soup is very delicious. I miss it and the spumoni. They have some reasonable wines and I really enjoyed the new beer they have; the Old Stump Rusty Gasket. Sounds like something I should be drinking, huh! Thanks Vince's for being there for so many decades. This last event was for my daughters 23rd birthday and they were able to handle our 15 guests without a hitch. read more

Let me first start off with saying going to Vincent's for me is not just eating, it's a culinary experience. My mother, who recently passed away, grew up in Montclair and grew up going to Vincent's Spaghetti. I am 45 years old now and I grew up going to Vincent's spaghetti. My kids are now growing up going to Vincent's spaghetti as well. My bond with this place is solid. There are certain things that I must absolutely have to enjoy my Vincent's Spaghetti experience. First, I need a Pepsi or Coke (straight - none of this diet crap) and I need their garlic bread. You know, when you are conditioned to want chips and salsa when you hear Mariachi music; or beer with pizza? That is my "go to" for Vincent's spaghetti - Pepsi and/or coke (Pepsi if I have a choice). Though I have been going there literally for decades, I've never been tired of this place, and even despite I eat there at least once a week. I can take a full order for two and eat off that for an entire week at work. Funny, I know they have lasagna now, but I'm afraid to try it because it may ruin a time for me have my favorite spaghetti. It sounds crazy, but this place means the world to me. By the way, left overs Vincent's Spaghetti is better because the sauce has time to soak into the noodles. Trust me on this. Going to Vincent's is my happy place. It brings me back to many memories when I was a kid. My mom died this year (sad I know) and we had her honorary lunch at Vincent's. It seemed only fitting since she was raised going here as well. So I'm 60 in a few days and have had more special occasion family dinners, dates and pure enjoyment an easy guarantee from the family run Vince's. Couldn't possibly suggest any changes......UNTIL TONIGHT! Ordered the Vince's dinner for two to go, meatball w extra sauce and a lasagna dinner to freeze SINCE ITS A LONG DAMN DRIVE and in the past a "sure thing". Anyone in their 50s remembers the commercial "where's the beef"... Well there was beef but in this case "WHERE'S THE SAUCE???" I mean we dumped it into a big bowl to try and mix it up enough to at least cover the pasta. Usually there is an ABUNDANCE OF SAUCE BUT NOT TONIGHT AND AFTER DRIVING FROM YUCAIPA FOR ME ORDER. VINCES WTF????? I mean our order was over $50 plus we gave a customary tip even though it was takeout and we never thought in 1 million years to see if there was enough sauce, especially since it is usually swimming in that awesome sauce which is the reason I drive such a long way to pick it up for my family. Also with the dinner you get salad. I asked for French dressing and got one very tiny halfway filled container. If any of you eat at Miguel's, half of one of their hot sauce containers full of salad dressing. I'm a grown man, I'm not fat and I can enjoy some extra dressing every now and again especially after driving an hour plus to pick it up. I went to the original location because it's always the best but I have to say the location on foothill never screws things up. Not once ever but out of loyalty I figured I would go to the original, nostalgic and all, but nostalgia was the last thing we got a good working over of our backsides and wallet Neither of which felt very friendly. Again was the business sold? If so good luck, if not is there any surviving family still there to oversee those working there who clearly don't give a tinkers dam about their customers coming since the 1960's? Perhaps that is why there was hardly anyone there. Picked up food smack dab at dinner time 6 o'clock-ish p.m. no waiting, parking spots everywhere you look and very few people inside. Vinces take notice I've been coming there since I was a little boy and I'll be 60 years old next week and we honestly feel like we just took it up the backside. Most people when they order meat sauce like meat and sauce, pretty sure that's why they call it "meat sauce!?! I mean gosh wouldn't you think LOL I am only laughing out loud about it because it's so ridiculous that a place that is known for its hospitality, quality food, awesome quantities and great prices took such a turn up their customers backsides. If you want to risk going to Vinces and getting ripped off with no sauce then call in an order to the original location. If you want to get your order done flawlessly and with just as much hospitality and kindness and place your order to the location on foothill Boulevard and consider you have done yourself a favor. Took my kids and now grand kids because I wanted them to understand the experience. We had a ball! I wanted to remind my 30-40 something yr old kids as well as their kids how magic is made. We came tonight for Sunday dinner. How amazing that even though my now adult children didn't remember the place, they did remember the smell of the sauce and bread as soon as we went in to be seated. The perfect business plan still executed to perfection. Make simple food, the best it can be done and don't add a lot of distraction. The spaghetti and mastacholi was cooked to perfection and piled high on each plate. With or without meat the sauce was just right. Not too sweet or salty. Huge meatballs were impressive. Easily satisfying all the palates in our family of 12. Each Vince's dinner came with soup, salad and bread (garlic or cheese) and was delivered like clock work! We had liters of the house Chianti and rose and it helped our pasta celebration! Great food!! Have been coming here for generations. Our family has a long history of dinners here. Always good. When we would dine in pre covid always had great service. Unfortunately Tonight was not so great. The young man from the back who came up to help practically threw my bag at me. It was incredibly heavy!! No warning. Filled with hot liquids. Thank goodness my partner reached out to steady me and the bag. I was almost injured and as a result qlmost dropped all my food. I mean really??? I know we are all busy in this current time but is it really an excuse to give poor customer service. Also our dinner for 2 was very small and definitely looks like a dinner for 1. The salad was put in a box with dressing on it and was definitely drenched and soggy by the time it came home. You couldn't put dressingnon the side?? All in all we will return as the food is delicious and has been a decades long favorite. My favorite spaghetti ever! My family has been coming here for decades. I have lots memories here as a child. They have amazing spaghetti, meat sauce, garlic and cheese bread! I even love the ranch they use on their side salad. It's a hearty meal that will always hit the spot. It's usually packed and the wait for to go orders can take a while, but worth it. Vince's has a divey atmosphere for sure! The parking lot is always packed at dinner time, and is pretty small in scale. The restaurant itself is pretty aged, but, very large. It doesn't bother me a bit that its older. They're clean, the service is good, and the food is great! I'm not the foo foo type at all, where everything needs to be shmancy for me to give all 5 stars. Its really about cleanliness, service, and food. I feel like they rank pretty high in all categories. The food is really good. I love the soup and mostaccioli the most. I've been coming to Vince's since the 1980's when I used to live nearby. I've moved away some years ago, but when I come visit family we always make a point to eat at Vince's and I also to get an order to go to bring home for later. Nothing beats their spaghetti with meat sauce, cheese bread, salad and soup. A full order is actually two meals in one. You can't beat the price and friendly service. The people were very nice and the food was good. I asked for a white sauce and she said they didn't have that. My suggestion is that you make a nice white sauce. That would be so nice. It would be nice for some that don't agree with tomato sauce. I know you could order plain with no sauce with butter but that's expensive for just noodles which we can make at home. OMG went to Vince's with family and friends, we travel quite a distance but when we got there at 6:30, we stood in line for 15 minutes to check in and when we finally got to the front we were told we are not seating anymore only take out! Wow. Worst service I've received to date. Serving staff very inattentive. First of all, drink order and food order were taken at the same time. Side salad should be called side of dressing with a single piece of lettuce. Drinks were never refilled or offered to be refilled at any point. We had to ASK to get drinks to go, which was an additional wait time. I've made better pasta with sauce out of a jar. Don't waste your time here. read more

I finally stopped in for lunch one day. I've been wanting to go for years, but it's so far away. I grew up going to the Torrance Vince's, but they closed a few years back. Back in the pre-internet days, we didn't even know there were more locations. By the end, I believe the Torrance spot was run by a family that bought it from the original owners. This one is still run by the original family, and has a slightly larger menu, but not by much. The biggest difference I can tell is that this one has mostaccioli. I'm happy to report that the experience is exactly how I remember it. The sauce is the same recipe, and tastes like my childhood. The garlic bread is how I remember it, too. Perfectly seasoned and toasted. That's all I eat at Vince's. A full order of spaghetti with garlic bread is enough for two meals, but I eat it all in one sitting. My fat ass doesn't need to add soup or salad, but I'm sure those are tasty, too. Hmm, maybe I should eat a salad and get the half order of spaghetti next time. Nah. I really wish the Torrance location still existed. I miss the food and this place is a good 60 miles away, so regular visits are probably not in the cards. I'll be sure to stop in whenever I'm in the area, though. I'd rather support a local business that employs people and contributes to the economy than the folks that used to run the Torrance location. The Torrance folks still sell sauce occasionally, but it is cash only and inconsistent. You can read about that in my review for them a few reviews down from this one in my profile. Overall, this is probably more like a 4 star place. It's a consistent family restaurant run by hard working folks that's been around since 1945. It's not fancy or gourmet, but it's solid home-style food with good service. I'm giving them the 5th star for nostalgia, and for being a small business that has been around for generations. We went through the drip drive-through because that was all that was offered at noon time. I ordered a meatball sandwich and spaghetti with both red and butter sauce. Unfortunately, it was absolutely tasteless. It was boiled pasta. First time here was on a Sunday night and there were crowds of people waiting outside so I thought it would be a while before we got seated. Fortunately, there was no wait for a party of two. We got the Vince's Dinner with the meat sauce ($14.45) and a Vince's Dinner with 1 meatball ($15.95). The dinners come with a soup and salad and a garlic or cheese roll. The garlic roll did not taste much different than the cheese roll. The salad was iceberg and shredded carrots. The vegetable beef soup was on the tomato-y side. The meatball was tender and flavorful. Service was pleasant and timely. The spaghetti was delicious and lived up to its reputation. Don't expect freshly grated Parmesan.
