Came here with my friend because we wanted to have some "Girl's Time". I found this wine bar via Google and it seemed nice to want to visit. We loved that they have a inside and outside space w/fire pits and some heaters mounted. The couches inside and out definitely give it a rather cozy feeling. They even have cute blankets that you can use. They had a live dj who was amazing with his spinning of the right tunes. I enjoyed the music alot. He played a variety. The waitress seemed pleasant when she greeted us. We ordered the charcuterie board and the pepperoni pizza. I requested the ricotta to be placed on the side and the request was met. I asked the waitress alot of questions and she was able to answer them. I did not enjoy the board because I do not like pepper jam (I did ask for another jam, but she said this is all they had. This is unfortunate because what if someone does not like peppers? One of the meats provided I did not enjoy (I enjoyed the salami) and I did not like one of the cheese as well.. it was a little spicy. Also, the utensil that they gave us to use to spread with was not very great for spreading. The pizza was tasty..no complaints there. I even added the ricotta to it and it was good. I had a glass of Petite Sirah and a glass of Cab. My friend had the Coco Loco Marg and the Gingerbread drink. All drinks ordered were delicious... we both agreed. Although, there were many pros..I do have some cons: 1. I ordered a Hot Toddy that was nowhere near hot. The waitress told me that they boil the water and the water "Is what it is" that comes from the boiler. I did not like that response at all. 2. We were served our food with no plates or silverware. However, the waitress brought plates upon request. 3. The food was served with 1 spoon like item. However, we had multiple things that we should have received small forks instead of having to use or fingers for everything. 4. I requested a Strawberry long Island iced tea. The waitress immediately tells me that they do not have the items to make it. I asked her why not..because it is really merely (alcohol/strawberry puree /Triple Sec/cola or sprite). She tells me that she tried to make it and it was not good. I requested that she go and ago the bartender at the bar currently and she gave another excuse of why it could not be done. Then she said.. she would go ask the bartender. My friend and I were puzzled because all items were there for the drink. When she came back, she told me that he could do it. However, I had changed my mind by that point and I requested for Strawberry Hennessy. She told me that they had Strawberry puree and I told her that would be fine. She asked me if I wanted ice. At this point, it made me hesitant to get it because it sounded like they did not know how to make it. She went back to the bartender and my friend noticed that the bartender was looking it up. The waitress came back and told me that they did not have triple sec, but they had another substitute. At that point, I just asked for a Cab. Overall, we loved the atmosphere. Idk if we will visit anytime soon though. Also, please know..I do get that this is a wine bar. However, bartenders hired should know how to make an assortment of drinks especially if you have majority alcohol stocked. Lastly, the water shouod be served hot if it is a hot drink. I came here with my friend this past weekend for some occasional drinks and bites. We found this place on yelp and decided to check it out. When we arrived to the location, it was a little hidden, and the parking we found was only in the back. This is part of the streets of Brentwood shopping plaza so you have to really look for it. This venue is situated where it is half inside, half outside. There is a door that separates the patio area from the inside. There were heaters outside and the inside was pretty small and tight so we decided to sit by the heater in a two seat arrangement outside near the door. There is a DJ who is actually really loud for the small space. I think that's part of the reason why I can't give this place a five stars. I get the ambience, but the music didn't have to be that loud because the place is not that large. The menu is limited, but we were able to choose the charcuterie board and a pepperoni pizza. For drinks I started with the Loco Mojito and my friend asked for a hot toddy. My Mojito was actually pretty good, but mostly ice so I did feel a little gypped on the price of $14. My friend's hot toddy got taken back because it wasn't even hot. Our second drinks were the gingerbread and my friend got a couple of glasses of wine. The wine glasses have a cute touch to them as they have the venues name written on them. The gingerbread drink was actually a seasonal drink, but very good. It even came with a cute gingerbread cookie. The only thing I will say is that the cookie did get really soggy and so when I drank my drink, it was a little weird. But it almost tasted like ice cream so that was nice. The outside needs a bit more heating because it was a very cold day and I was very cold outside. Again with limited seating indoors, you have got to get patio heating for every section to get people to come in. Now for the food, the pizza was actually pretty good, it was enough to share between two people if you're not super hungry. We asked for the ricotta cheese on the side, which was nice to just spread a little bit on the slices rather didn't have it on the pizza. Now the charcuterie board, it's only $17 but I was expecting a little bit more. I don't eat olives and neither does my friend so we asked for something else besides olives. I would've wanted it like maybe grapes? The board as you can see from the photo came with a couple of different meats, two spreadable cheeses and some bread, and uneven number, which is kind of strange and not enough for the entire board. Some almonds that were seasoned, and some extra apple slices because we took the olives off. It also came with a pepper jam, which is OK. I like spicy and it gave a little kick towards the end, but my friend didn't care for it too much. Overall, our bill came to a little bit over $100 which I can't really complain. $50 for some food and two drinks is not too bad but I don't know if I'll come back. There are a lot of wine bar options in this place didn't really stand out too much. The service was nice though. The waiters did a good job coming back to make sure we were OK and accommodating our needs. The one weird thing and again for the minus one star was because they said they did not know how to make a Long Island iced tea, which is a very basic drink. I don't get that? Most bartenders know how to mix those unless you don't have cola or something. The waitress kept telling us that it's not good there, and she kept repeating it. One nice thing about this place if you sit indoors or sit where we are sitting outside, you can watch the games on Sundays. They have a pretty big TV in indoors. There's also a small smaller section outside that you can reserve it seems like that has a fire pit and its own TV which is nice for a small gathering. read more

Came here on a Friday evening for girls night. The ambiance was great. The patio area was cute. They had plastic curtains put up to keep the warm air from the fire pit in and the cold air out. They had just enough Christmas decor to be classy and but not overwhelming. We arrived around 6pm and were promptly seated in the area we reserved which was the patio by the fire pit. We ordered our first round of drinks while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. We also ordered the pepperoni and veggie pizzas, and both were amazing!!! The feta cheese on top was a pleasant suprise. The rest of our party showed up and we ordered another round of drinks. It was somewhat busy for a small establishment, but not overwhelming. Our waiter was very friendly, talkative, and provided top notch service. If I had to make one recommendation it would be to bring on additional staff or an additional bar tender as we waited almost 20 minutes for our first two rounds of drinks. Once things slowed down, the third round came out quicker. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend visiting. I will be back when I'm in town again. read more

This was a surprise find. I have been looking for a chill spot to have a glass of wine and watch the game that is not a sports bar and Vine + Grain is just the right spot. Had a beautiful glass of Rose and the Hot Pepperoni Pizza. The pizza was just right the crust was thin and had a good bit to it with just the right amount of honey and heat. I started with the Beer flights & husband went for old fashion we had fun tasting all the flight beers & each was very different in taste & hop levels. For food we went for Calabrian shrimp skillet - this was fantastic we literally had to fight for the sauce it came along with the bread... we loved the flavors, shrimp was fantastic will definitely order this dish again... We had 2 pizza meat lovers & hot pepperoni ( this was my favorite) both pizzas were delicious perfect thin crust with amazing flavors but I loved hot pepperoni more since it was light & drizzle of hot honey took it to next level.... We still felt like ordering more drinks so we ordered- hibiscus margarita & tangerine smash... again both was superb.... A friend and I came here for Sunday brunch light bites and cocktails. The ambiance is eco industrial with a mixture of deep wood accents and garage style doors connecting the indoor/outdoor patio space. Service was really friendly and the place was about 40% capacity. The drinks hit hard! Definitely a good pour on the liquor, so you certainly get your value. Neither of us drink wine so we opted for craft drinks instead. The cocktails we ordered were delicious with some cool themes. I'm a bit of a light weight since I'm not a big drinker, so after two drinks I had a pretty solid buzz! I will definitely come back for cocktails another time However, I wasn't a fan of the charcuterie board. The pepper jelly had too much gelatin in it, so it was a bit like Jell-O rather than jelly. The cheese, meat, and nut selection could have been better as well. I'd definitely try something else when I come back, so hopefully their other food items are better. My only other gripe is that the seating is uncomfortable, but hey, who needs comfort when you're tipsy. I like this place a lot. They serve just the right amount of food and drinks. My wife and I came the other day and had a nice experience. If you're looking for a nice lounge time with friends or family and want to sip and eat really light, come here. Depending on your appetite, if you're starving, this is not the place. It's a typical wine and charcuterie joint with tapas style dishes. Small plate of everything. We enjoyed their margherita pizza with fresh basil and tomatoes, oily and cheesy bread sticks with chili flake marinara. Their cheese and meat plate was also delicious for $16 but I just wished they served a tiny bit more. It was like 4 crackers, a drop of cheese and chili jam, and maybe 6 slices of meat and two tiny sizes of cheese. I've had bigger charcuterie plates at other wine & cheese places with more stuff included to pair which is the main reason why I'm giving this place a 4-star. Their menu changes from time to time so nothing ever really stays the same. I wanted truffle mushroom soup and bacon cheese bread but they didn't have it anymore which was a bummer. Personally I thought their wine and bubbly list was just ok. I get it, it's based off local wine but they weren't that eye-catching to me. Not sure if it's the local wine itself or if the selection was just poor. The Malbec was blah and had no bold and spice to it. Their beer menu on the Other hand looks great with a nice variety but this isn't a beer house. I'd definitely come back, no doubt but I'll make sure to come more prepared and expectation. This place is really cute! It's located in Brentwood's little mall area, so there are definitely things to do around the bar. You can easily do some shopping and then stop by after for tapas and drinks. I love that they have a charcuterie board and a good selection of local beers! You don't see places with charcuterie boards too frequently even though they are becoming more popular. The one at Vine + Grain is also reasonably priced, which is something that is rare. Visiting from Arizona , and after some shopping, we stopped in for some wine and a some beer. It was happy hour and four lovely wines were $5.00 a glass AND not a paltry half glass, a nicely, respectfully filled wine glass! Also, got a few flights of wine & beer to sample too! We had the devine array of their Charcuterie Board both plentiful and good. Nachos were yummy! The truffle popcorn is a must try! This little bar has mostly outdoor seating with fireplaces at each table grouping. That's were we sat and the ambience is super relaxing. Drinks were great, definitely recommend the tangerine drink with vodka (pictured) but didn't love the small amount of actual vodka it had in it. Wine flight was nice. Food however was NOT great, "charcuterie board" had only two thinly sliced pieces of cheese in it, one of the two pieces was old and hard. First off, I love how it is located in The streets of Brentwood outdoor shopping center which means there is a lot of free parking which is a nice change of pace from paying for street or garage parking when going to wine bars in Walnut Creek. The interior is very warm and chic. There are couches and tables for seating inside and outside there are fire pits. The clientele is a bit older so it's really easy to hear each other you don't have to yell in order to have a conversation. Overall it is a relaxed atmosphere. They have plenty of wine options and my friends got the rosé flight and white wine flight. I got the beer flight and enjoyed the hefty pours of all the IPA options. Our server was very attentive and sweet and friends and I felt very comfortable and welcomed because of her. So even if you're not from the Brentwood area I suggest you make the drive out to try this place out! read more
