    Pisa and charcuterie selection
    Kathleen C.

Perfect spot to visit and relax with friends. Staff were super friendly and nice, too. They have a great wine/sparkling wine line-up along with several beers on tap and a few canned beer choices. Good selection is really very good and fairly priced. They had a live DJ on Sunday along with NFL games on the indoor tv's. Definitely a great little spot, very relaxed vibe.

I came here with my friend this past weekend for some occasional drinks and bites. We found this place on yelp and decided to check it out. When we arrived to the location, it was a little hidden, and the parking we found was only in the back. This is part of the streets of Brentwood shopping plaza so you have to really look for it. This venue is situated where it is half inside, half outside. There is a door that separates the patio area from the inside. There were heaters outside and the inside was pretty small and tight so we decided to sit by the heater in a two seat arrangement outside near the door. There is a DJ who is actually really loud for the small space. I think that's part of the reason why I can't give this place a five stars. I get the ambience, but the music didn't have to be that loud because the place is not that large. The menu is limited, but we were able to choose the charcuterie board and a pepperoni pizza. For drinks I started with the Loco Mojito and my friend asked for a hot toddy. My Mojito was actually pretty good, but mostly ice so I did feel a little gypped on the price of $14. My friend's hot toddy got taken back because it wasn't even hot. Our second drinks were the gingerbread and my friend got a couple of glasses of wine. The wine glasses have a cute touch to them as they have the venues name written on them. The gingerbread drink was actually a seasonal drink, but very good. It even came with a cute gingerbread cookie. The only thing I will say is that the cookie did get really soggy and so when I drank my drink, it was a little weird. But it almost tasted like ice cream so that was nice. The outside needs a bit more heating because it was a very cold day and I was very cold outside. Again with limited seating indoors, you have got to get patio heating for every section to get people to come in. Now for the food, the pizza was actually pretty good, it was enough to share between two people if you're not super hungry. We asked for the ricotta cheese on the side, which was nice to just spread a little bit on the slices rather didn't have it on the pizza. Now the charcuterie board, it's only $17 but I was expecting a little bit more. I don't eat olives and neither does my friend so we asked for something else besides olives. I would've wanted it like maybe grapes? The board as you can see from the photo came with a couple of different meats, two spreadable cheeses and some bread, and uneven number, which is kind of strange and not enough for the entire board. Some almonds that were seasoned, and some extra apple slices because we took the olives off. It also came with a pepper jam, which is OK. I like spicy and it gave a little kick towards the end, but my friend didn't care for it too much. Overall, our bill came to a little bit over $100 which I can't really complain. $50 for some food and two drinks is not too bad but I don't know if I'll come back. There are a lot of wine bar options in this place didn't really stand out too much. The service was nice though. The waiters did a good job coming back to make sure we were OK and accommodating our needs. The one weird thing and again for the minus one star was because they said they did not know how to make a Long Island iced tea, which is a very basic drink. I don't get that? Most bartenders know how to mix those unless you don't have cola or something. The waitress kept telling us that it's not good there, and she kept repeating it. One nice thing about this place if you sit indoors or sit where we are sitting outside, you can watch the games on Sundays. They have a pretty big TV in indoors. There's also a small smaller section outside that you can reserve it seems like that has a fire pit and its own TV which is nice for a small gathering.

Cute place to hang out with friends or coworkers for drinks , service is great , they have a great variety of drinks and open bar , just no drinks with cream or milk! I was reading their sign and they have happy hour and live music (check before you go). You can also reserve a table, they have little snacks to go with your drinks such as charcuterie boards. There's parking right behind it or on the street. I had a coco loco mojito it was pretty good and food size too !

One of the seasonal drinks, I can't remember the name.

Came here on a Friday evening for girls night. The ambiance was great. The patio area was cute. They had plastic curtains put up to keep the warm air from the fire pit in and the cold air out. They had just enough Christmas decor to be classy and but not overwhelming. We arrived around 6pm and were promptly seated in the area we reserved which was the patio by the fire pit. We ordered our first round of drinks while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. We also ordered the pepperoni and veggie pizzas, and both were amazing!!! The feta cheese on top was a pleasant suprise. The rest of our party showed up and we ordered another round of drinks. It was somewhat busy for a small establishment, but not overwhelming. Our waiter was very friendly, talkative, and provided top notch service. If I had to make one recommendation it would be to bring on additional staff or an additional bar tender as we waited almost 20 minutes for our first two rounds of drinks. Once things slowed down, the third round came out quicker. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend visiting. I will be back when I'm in town again.

Nice vibes outside. Took a little while to order drinks. Only had one waitress at the time. Drinks were good though

This was a surprise find. I have been looking for a chill spot to have a glass of wine and watch the game that is not a sports bar and Vine + Grain is just the right spot. Had a beautiful glass of Rose and the Hot Pepperoni Pizza. The pizza was just right the crust was thin and had a good bit to it with just the right amount of honey and heat. The service was on point, Will definitely be returning.

Amazing experience perfect place to unwind during hot summer months.... We were planning to try this place for a long time... after trying Attraversiamo we were very eager to try their cocktail & food ... we were not disappointed at all ... excellent customer service & amazing food with ur choice of drinks. Since we were in the area & the temperature was 102 it definitely made sense to eat out & relax.... I started with the Beer flights & husband went for old fashion we had fun tasting all the flight beers & each was very different in taste & hop levels. For food we went for Calabrian shrimp skillet - this was fantastic we literally had to fight for the sauce it came along with the bread... we loved the flavors, shrimp was fantastic will definitely order this dish again... We had 2 pizza meat lovers & hot pepperoni ( this was my favorite) both pizzas were delicious perfect thin crust with amazing flavors but I loved hot pepperoni more since it was light & drizzle of hot honey took it to next level.... We still felt like ordering more drinks so we ordered- hibiscus margarita & tangerine smash... again both was superb.... We loved the food, drinks & the vibe of this beautiful gem will definitely come back to try their other beers & cocktails along with the food. Service was amazing & Logan took real good care. Perfect ending for hot summer evening/night.

A friend and I came here for Sunday brunch light bites and cocktails. The ambiance is eco industrial with a mixture of deep wood accents and garage style doors connecting the indoor/outdoor patio space. Service was really friendly and the place was about 40% capacity. The drinks hit hard! Definitely a good pour on the liquor, so you certainly get your value. Neither of us drink wine so we opted for craft drinks instead. The cocktails we ordered were delicious with some cool themes. I'm a bit of a light weight since I'm not a big drinker, so after two drinks I had a pretty solid buzz! I will definitely come back for cocktails another time However, I wasn't a fan of the charcuterie board. The pepper jelly had too much gelatin in it, so it was a bit like Jell-O rather than jelly. The cheese, meat, and nut selection could have been better as well. I'd definitely try something else when I come back, so hopefully their other food items are better. My only other gripe is that the seating is uncomfortable, but hey, who needs comfort when you're tipsy. All in all this is a solid place to come for wine or drinks and I will definitely be back!

A cute place to chill and have a few drinks. They have indoor and outdoor space. The drinks here are good and decently strong. Service was great. I would come back to try other drinks.

My Fiancé loves the Beer Flights here. I love the cheese and charcuterie board - the jelly pimiento spread is the reason i keep coming back!!! The server has always beens accommodating and very attentive to your needs. The place is small but cozy. Their restroom is nice and clean. Our go to place close to home!

Our group of 3 sat outside in their lovely side alleyway and feasted on 6 delicious shared small plates plus their scrumptious dessert sampler. We ordered: -- Cacio e pepe biscuit -- Esquites (Mexican street corn) -- Empanadas -- Tacos al pastor -- Ceviche tostadas -- Alaskan black cod The black cod dish was seriously incredible and a standout amid the other wonderful dishes. The waiter mentioned it had been on their menu for 22 years and that people traveled there to try it. I can believe it! Speaking of service, it was exceptional. Along with our friendly main waiter, there were other staff refilling water glasses and changing table settings quickly as needed. We waited on nothing but also never felt interrupted. Since Va da Vi IS a wine bar, I should mention that wine was also wonderful. I tried their Pinot Noir flight and enjoyed all 3 of the 3 oz samplings, especially the 2023 Status Quo and the 2023 "Klee" by Roots Wine Co. Is it pricey? Well, a little, but not for the quality. I've eaten at places just as expensive and left far less satisfied. Most of the seating is in a covered outdoor courtyard with string lights and patio heaters, which creates a cozy setting for a group dinner. There's also a smaller indoor bar area that feels more intimate. The atmosphere is inviting and well done. We started with saganaki and The Bee's Knees to share. The Bee's Knees -- toasted bread with goat cheese, honey, and bee pollen -- was actually one of the highlights of the night and something I'd definitely recommend. We also ordered cocktails and a couple bottles of wine for the table, a Pinot and a Napa Cabernet. The Pinot was enjoyable; the Cabernet was not our favorite and felt a bit underwhelming. Service was friendly but slow and somewhat disorganized. We were told there was only one cook in the kitchen that evening, which likely explains why the food took quite a while to arrive. Several in our group ordered the "I Really Don't Care" entrée. I had a salad with steak, and unfortunately the steak was a bit clammy and lacked flavor. It wasn't terrible, just not memorable. For dessert we shared the lava cake, which was decent but not exceptional. If half-stars were an option, I'd probably land at a 3 1/2. Since that's not how it works, I'm giving it three. The ambiance and a few dishes stood out, but the overall execution didn't fully meet the expectations we had going in.

The combination of textures and flavors was delicious. We did opt in for the taro chips, which was the perfect vessel for the ceviche. We also ordered the Piqueo sampler, which had their chicharron de pollo, beef empanadas, platano frito, and yuca fries. Ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the grilled chicken was quite literally the juiciest chicken I've had in a while. However, the pork belly was not crisp enough for both me and the amount of fat that the pork belly had. Had it been crispier this dish would have been 10/10. The aji amarillo was so good, not as spicy as other versions I've had before. I think it is worth the $2 they charge for extra. Our waitress was nice and service was good. The issue, sadly, is the food. We started with gin and tonics, which the place specializes in. Multiple tonics and gins. The drinks were really weak. I remember going with my husband and the G&T went right to my head. This one might as well have been a sprite. Then came the food. The patatas bravas were basically French fries and the special sauce tasted like ketchup with a dollop of mayo in the middle. The cheese tray, for twenty bucks, consisted of three cheese chunks the size of an old school match box. The fried eggplant with honey was delish. Shrimp were just OK. Mussels with polenta were tasty. Then came the paella, which we shared. That was the most disappointing thing. 4 clams and a sprinkling of dried out, overcooked mystery meat. Pricewise, I'd say it's fair for inflationary times, except for the paella which was basically a rip. Next time I want tapas, I'm going to Tapas Bravas in Healdsburg. They never disappoint.

So that was weird. We were done with the tapas and the cocktails. Our server asked if we wanted something more to drink, so we decided to get a bottle of red wine. The server poured our wine, spilled a big drip across our table, wiped off the bottle, but didn't bother to wipe the table! There was a group of 4 people next to us, and they were seated about 15 min after us. But they received a paella really fast. So my husband and I were dismayed because the server probably gave our food to the wrong table. So, we drank our wine and waited for someone to come and speak to us. We expected some kind of acknowledgement that our order was going to be slow. Waited. And waited. Then the table next to us received the paella that they actually ordered (with seafood). And we kept waiting. The server apologized to THEM about bringing them the wrong paella at first, but no apology or explanation to us! At this point, I'm staring at the server, trying to get her attention, getting pretty angry. My husband is a good person, so he's making jokes and making me laugh. He points out a small dog sitting on a chair inside the restaurant. Definitely not a service animal. At this point, I'm so aggrieved and laugh that I'm going to report a health code violation. The server finally comes to us and apologizes for the mix-up, it will be 45 more min for our paella. She tries to compensate by giving us 2 glasses of cava. But like... I'm starving and tipsy. I ask my husband if I should get a corn dog at Foster's Freeze while we wait for paella... Finally, the food arrives. The paella is good but not excellent. My husband makes paella at home that's better than this. He lived in Spain for a while, so he knows and uses a bunch of saffron. La Marcha's paella just tasted like rice with tomatoes and veggies, no saffron flavor or color. We ate the paella, ordered dessert. When the tab came, they didn't give us any kind of discount. The dinner took 2.5 hours! So I am normally a good tipper, but this time, I only tipped 10% and wrote a long note about our disappointment. I figured the other $25 that I would give to the server was going to pay for the babysitter for the extra hour that it took for us to eat dinner. tl;dr Food was good but not excellent. Service was terrible. I am never going back.

We were welcomed by Laurie (who is phenomenal) upon arrival, seated right away, and we ordered drinks after viewing their menus along with the food and drink specials. It was a back and forth deciding on our food orders as everything on their menus looked mouthwateringly tasty. I enjoyed the delicious potato and shrimp Peruvian special, which was incredible, and my husband devoured their rigatoni Alfredo. The wine, food and awesome staff made this first visit so memorable, and I mentioned that I had already planned a return visit for my upcoming birthday. There were quite a few patrons in the restaurant on that sleepy Sunday afternoon, so I know that we weren't the only lucky ones to experience a terrific lunch that day. We love you, Bodega Biondi!

The first thing I thought was, "I could easily come here alone, grab a glass of wine or a beer, watch part of a game, and just relax for a while." They had the NBA game on at the bar, but it didn't overpower or distract from the atmosphere of the restaurant itself. The dining room is made up of small tables with couples and friends quietly enjoying their meals and conversations. It has that kind of warm, comfortable energy that makes you want to slow down a little, settle in, and stay longer than you planned. Not every restaurant has to be loud or trendy to stand out. Sometimes a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and a good meal are enough. Definitely check this place out.
