Attended an event at Vineapple and it's clear that this staff knows how to host a party. The service was attentive, prompt and kind. The good was good... My favorites were the penne and the tiramisu (not pictured). Personally, the pesto left something to be desired. The biggest surprise for me was the crostini platter. There was one with cherry ... I didn't know I needed that... And I want more! Good selection of both cocktails and cocktails, with a cute outdoor patio. I will certainly return next time I'm in DUMBO. Go support this family run business!
Was looking for a fun brunch/lunch spot and came across this place. They had a lot of indoor seating but we wanted to sit outside. The hostess walked us out towards the back and it was kind of hidden backyard vibe that was very lowkey. Our male server was so friendly, funny and had a great personality. We had some small requests and he was able to make it happen for us which goes a long way. The coffees were great and they had some nice healthy options. I got the club and soup combo which I enjoyed because it was the perfect amount of food. Their fresh juices were also refreshing and we had a great time altogether.
Lovely restaurant & bar a few steps off Henry St! Was rather quiet for a Saturday night, so service was highly attentive and quick. The food was excellent and came in generous portions. The hummus was particularly good and comes with both fresh bread and crudite. The wild boar ragu was also delicious, and it is great to see a proper vegetarian main on the menu with the braised greens & beans.
I love the deceiving amount of space this restaurant has, as it looks like a small and quaint place from the outside. There's a beautiful outdoor patio and a nice sized indoor seating area too. The menu is diverse and also good for vegetarian options, making brunch easy for meeting with friends!
Vineapple is on Pineapple Street. I know, what a cool name, right? They had some menu up front with baked goods right there, for anyone wanting to get some drinks and quick food to go. Since we were there to dine in, we walked towards the back. In the back, there were several tables and chairs, in a very cozy atmosphere. Through the back door, they have a lovely patio with tables and chairs as well. We went there for a brunch. We had Cold Brew because we wanted to get a drink in their pineapple glasses. LOL. Cold brew was strong and good coffee. We also had Sparkling Lavender Cucumber Matcha. It was a very interesting drink that works so well! Very refreshing, not sweet, not too fizzy. For food, we ordered Brunch Breakfast Sandwich and Shakshuka. Scramble egg was so moist and juicy! Bacon was crunchy. Parmesan fries were very potato-y. It was a really nice sandwich, very tasty and satisfying. I enjoyed every bite! With the Shakshuka, we added Chorizo for additional $5. Shakshuka was packed with flavor. Chorizo was amazing, egg was cooked perfectly, avocado was just ripe and fresh. It was a really nice shakshuka! We had such nice brunch there, we decided to go back for more! During our second visit, we ordered Shaken Lavender Latte. The coffee was strong, amazing taste with perfect sweetness. Very good latte! For food, this time, We went with The 71 Brunch Burger, and Bacon Egg & Cheese Pizza. The Burger, some say it is the best burger in Brooklyn and I can understand. It had full of flavor, super juicy, and bits of pineapples in there which were great. Pizza was much larger than expected. It would've been enough to share among the two people, plus maybe a dessert to share. It had lots of gooey eggs and bacon, it was a perfect brunch pizza. It was a really good pizza, so satisfying and filling. We had a really nice brunch here for the second time. During our both visits, server Eddy took care of us. He was very friendly, fun, and courteous. It has quickly become one of our favorite brunch spots!
This is a MUST for brunch! We checked this spot out for a weekend brunch. I did make a reservation but otherwise it looked like a brief wait. It's cozy, casual, and a little loud but a nice atmosphere . They have an adorable little garden seating area out back but it was a bit chilly, so opted for inside. Service was super attentive and our meals were out within 10 mins of ordering. A good sized brunch menu which was great. I tried the Matcha Martini ($16) which was delicious! The Bloody Marys that others in my party had were a much larger portion but very strong. I tried the breakfast burrito ($16) with avocado which was a great combo of hearty flavors and well cooked. The small portion of potato wedges that came with it were also well cooked and delicious. My daughter got the French toast which was decadent, tasty and down right delicious! 10/10 order this!
Used to come by here back in the 2010s and so happy it's still up and running! Nestled on a side street in Brooklyn Heights, this cafe offers to go service or sit in service now. I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese, side of bacon, iced mocha latte and a matcha cocktail. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly! Always loved this place and will continue to stop by while in town!
Decent cafe tucked away on Pineapple street in DUMBO. There's a lot of seating inside, which makes it convenient for meeting friends. I came with a small group for breakfast. The breakfast was good, though nothing too special on the menu that immediately stood out to me. I ended up getting the breakfast sandwich ($10), and recommend the bialy bread if you want something more flavorful! I enjoyed the tomato jam, though wish there had been a bit more. The sandwich was pretty heavy, buttery, and cheesy though, in case you're looking for something lighter. Service was great, and the restaurant / cafe was clean and had a nice soft ambience. it
Didn't know what to expect. What caught my eye on the menu was the burger so my friend and I were of like minds and we both ordered one. If you are hungry, you will be very happy you ordered it because it is huge and will need two hands to hold it so you can bite around it. Most of us even those with a big mouth will find it hard to handle. It's no wonder because it is packed with a fried egg, pickled onions, lettuce, tomato, cheese and spicy mayo on top of a thick burger. Just writing about it is making my mouth water with the fond memories of the experience. Don't forget to ask for extra napkins cuz you'll need them. However what wasn't plentiful was the small serving of steak fries that came with it. But the hearty burger made up for it so I guess it's acceptable. Don't know what the rest of the menu taste like but if it's anything like the burger, it will be yummy. One of my top burger experiences for sure!!! Check out the picture ... Popped in to Vineapple without a reservation on a Saturday AM and they were great about fitting us in (although I would recommend getting a resy) -- food was delicious, I got the egg scramble with olive bread (sooooo tasty!) and a massive side of fruit. The waiter we had was super attentive and kind, and was able to make my friend's order GF easily. The spot is tucked away but bustling with energy and overall was a fabulous place to spend 2 hours!
My friend and I stopped by vineapple because she loved the pictures on their site, so we gave it a try. The atmosphere was cool, and our waiter was friendly, attentive, and cool. The food was okay, nothing special. A mishap with adding mushrooms to our mac & and cheese. The mushrooms were brought over later. So, the taste was their, and bread crumbs were good. Burrata, I never had before was surprisingly good. The polenta fries were different but okay. However, the pan seared chicken was disappointing. The chicken was overcooked, and we received more arugula than chicken. You could barely see the chicken in the picture, though the flavors were their. The drink I had was really good and I had two.
Came in for brunch over the weekend and did not disappoint! We got some brunch cocktails and split the breakfast burrito (we werent starving, but wanted to try at least something off their delicious looking brunch menu). Burrito comes with your choice of protein filling, and we opted for chorizo (which was more Spanish style and Mexican, and we really liked it). It also was pretty busy (esp for 1-2 on a Sunday) so if you know you want to go here, best to make a reservation ahead of time! read more

Visiting New York for the first time and tonight is my last night in town. My friends and I found this hidden gem and this made the best place to go before having to say goodbye to this wonderful town! The restaurant was very nice and it felt like that neighborhood place everyone goes to but at the same time it also felt like new people that just wanted to try good food. It was a great atmosphere and very clean and lovely! But let's get to the main part! The food was absolutely delicious and I left wanting more because I want to try everything else on the menu! AND THE OTHER BEST PART! Our server Eddie's was amazing! He was like a machine and tending to everyone in the restaurant while still making you feel like you're his only table he's serving his attitude was just one that made us all smile! If I ever get to come back to NYC I will definitely be back! read more

Walked in (March 23 at 11:45a) to take away my usual breakfast (Brooklyn Heights Breakfast -$16 as displayed on menu) at this place. I was charged $20. Assumed prices went up. Ok, that's going around these days. While waiting, I overheard a call in order - same breakfast for $16. Saw it come up on the display as such. I asked the guy (dark hair w/ mustache) why the price discrepancy between the call in vs. walk-in. He said - "no difference - this is brunch menu." I told him the brunch menu at the entrance says $16. He said he would check it out. He did. It said $16. He said it was the old menu which changed a few weeks ago. (I ate this breakfast 3 times in the last 2 weeks - $16). I asked why the call in order was $16. He said "I charge call in whatever I want." I told him I eat here often and it's $16. He walked away with no response. Came back and posted a different menu. Walked away with no response .This is what amateurs do. They lie when they make mistakes. He should've apologized and handed me $4 and explained the price recently increase, they appreciate my business, and hope I will return. So easy to do. This is NOT a customer is always right situation. The facts were clear and we both knew it. This is what men with no integrity and poor self image do - they lie to get out of a moment. So, this BS warrants a 3 month boycott. Really disappointed because this recently became my go-to breakfast. Maybe I will return this summer. Not feeling positive about it. read more
This is such a cute cafe to stop by on Pineapple street in Brooklyn. Was looking for a cafe to stop by for a meeting pretty late in the evening where most of the cafes are closed. Stopped by for a meeting and the sit down area is where the waiters serve you. The service here is great and they are genuine in their service here! Such a cute little local spot for any time of day - breakfast, lunch, dinner. You name it, they got it. The staff are so friendly and cheery! It's truly a great place to be! I would highly highly recommend the chai latter! The rich and creamy and a nice little jolt of energy! My friend loved the latte so much, she came back for more. Also would recommend the belgian waffle. It has little crystals of sugar sprinkled on the waffle that add so much depth and flavor. read more

They did say that to sit on the patio we would have had to make reservations (at least on the day we visited). So, we will keep that in mind next time we visit. The tables were super small and wobbly but the inside atmosphere was great as well. read more

Such cute addition to the neighborhood! This is such a perfect cafe and restaurant. They have nice outdoor seating area in front along with their backyard in the back. The food menu looks pretty extensive, but for my first visit I just got a regular hot latte (they brew Devocion coffee!) The latte was perfect and came with a very chic pink lid. I definitely look forward to visiting again and trying more from their menu! read more
I came in Saturday to check up the place I specifically came because I saw the pictures on Yelp about the backyard so when we came in the lovely Nora welcome us to the backyard and the first thing i saw is that they're all friendly which is a super duper plus me so next visit I'll definitely bringing my Fur baby with me but the food was great and you can still hear the music playing in the backyard but the only thing I would say is that the bread was a bit way too crispy for me besides that everything was good I had this spicy drink which was Nora favorite And I love it! did you cool reward was also so until next time! read more

I had a reservation for two for Saturday brunch - definitely make a reservation. It was pretty busy, and I still waited a decent amount of time for my table. I like their spritzes ($13) a lot - I tried all three and the italicus and lemon was my favorite. Came here for brunch with friends. Cute spot. I ordered an Arnold Palmer to drink and love that it came in a cute pineapple glass. The drink was also delicious, just the right amount of sweet. For my entree I ordered the Shakshuka. It was a different take than I'm used to on this dish. The marinara sauce in place of the roasted peppers and tomatoes gives it a much different flavor. Still good just different. My boyfriend got the burger which was awesome. I would definitely return to try some other items on the menu. read more

We came here for brunch and we were promptly seat. This establishment has roadside (in the front), inside, and garden seating. We sat inside as it was a bit cold out. Vinapple is nice and dainty in decor; they check for vaccine and ids upon sitting inside. Our server came and seemed pretty knowledgeable about the menu which is always a plus. We both enjoyed our meals and drinks. We ordered: Shakshuka Cinnamon Crunch French Toast Golden Harvest Spiked Hot Apple Cider c/bourbon I would definitely be returning for lunch or dinner and would 100% recommend this establishment. read more

Can't believe I've been working in the neighborhood since 2015 and never knew this place existed! I needed to find a place to take my mentee for a bite after work and this came up in my Google search. It is such a quaint spot! There is outdoor seating in front and a bunch of seating inside, too. My mentee and I opted sat inside for privacy. It was really cozy! The waiters were great. I wish I'd gotten the name of the the gentleman that handled our table. He was affable and attentive. He even cracked corny jokes with us, which was kinda nice, too! My mentee wanted a mocktail and he asked what type of flavor she was looking for. He asked what she "didn't" enjoy so that he could relay that info to the bartender. I appreciated the care he took in making sure she got a drink she would enjoy. I had the Rosé for my drink and it was perfect for the hot weather we had that day. For food, we ordered the hummus and the mac & cheese. They were both top-notch. I forgot to ask for the bacon to be removed in the mac, but it was so damn good, I just picked it out instead and didn't create ruckus. The cheese was rich and delightful! Next time, I'll ask for bread or crackers to have with the remaining sauce. That's how good it was! Now that I know this place exists, I'll have to come back again soon! read more

Vineapple Cafe's ability to reinvent itself during the pandemic is very impressive as it transformed from a regular coffee shop to a full blown restaurant/bar/coffee shop. I've had the pleasure of stopping by here a few times to enjoy a nightcap and recently dinner. There are outdoor seating options out front and in the backyard - a great spot for a casual hangout or date. The menu is creative and the service has always been excellent. My old lady and I love this place. The food is kind of pricey but it's got a quaint, yuppie flare that works for the area. The staff is really nice and predictably hipster. The one tall gentleman that always works the front is really chill and does a good job. 3/5 sta rs bevause yesterday we got bagels and they were atrocious. It's not a place known for their bagels but we've had bagels there before and they weren't as bad as yesterday. It just tasted like bread with Trader Joe's everything seasoning sprinkled on top. The cream cheese application wasn't very good. My old lady claims she won't ever go there again but I'm sure she'll come around. It's going to take her awhile to forgive them for BagelGate. read more
Delightful little spot to have brunch. We came in late morning and were sat in the garden area. Our server was prompt and very sweet. We ordered the large charcuterie board, the corn chowder, and a breakfast burrito with smoked chorizo. All the food was amazing. The charcuterie board could easily feed three. I would definitely make a reservation if you plan on sitting outside as the outdoor seating is limited. If you can sit in the garden, there's great artwork painted on the walls outside. Wandering around the area looking for an available brunch opening on a Saturday morning. This restaurant is a little off to the side, and not as crowded as similar spots in the neighborhood, so was able to get a table for two without any wait. Ordered the Brunch Breakfast Sandwich ($12) with the choice of bacon and bialy bread. The husky is lightly toasted sandwiching fluffy scrambled eggs, cheese, tomato jam, and bacon. Well balanced with the tomato jam being the star of the show (just the right amount of tangy and sweet). The side salad was an afterthought as all of the dressing was on one radish. Paired this with a strong Latte ($4ish) that for me through most of the day. Service here is efficient and the ambiance is cozy without feeling too crowded. There is a quick to-go area up front if looking for a quick coffee and pastry as well. read more

Great local brunch / coffee spot. Perfect to bring family or friends visiting. Not on the main drag in BK Heights which was nice to have some attractions on a side street. Decorated so cute on the inside with their fun pineapple theme. Would also come back for a coffee to go. Seems like they may have a night life too with their loaded bar. Will be back! read more

Not sure what their policy is, but I've had a table for 5. Maybe call them to be sure! (347) 799-1035. Also, I strongly suggest making a reservation because they get crowded. Yes, they take reservations! Enjoy.
