Was in town for business and did a Door Dash from here. I have been a regular D'Al's customer for many years when my boys were at CofC. Always went to the downtown location. Also been to the Greenville location a couple of times. This was my first experience with this location. I usually get the Spicy Benny with extra jalapeños but I love me a Detroit Style pizza!! First off, the delivery was very late. Not D'Al's fault. Luckily I had a microwave in the room at the hotel to add warmth. The Detroit Style pizza was very good but I do regret not getting my usual. :-) I also got a Caesar salad. My knocks - the pizza box was not sealed allowing the driver to easily open the box and peak inside if they so chose. Did not like that at all. Also, there were no utensils. Thin crust style pizza with delicious toppings! The pizzas were cooked to order so they were extra hot and fresh. Chicken Parms pizza was really good, topped with pieces of chicken and cheese. D'Allesandro's Pizza is a cute little pizza addition to the Nexton Square area. We had great service the night we went in and the delicious pizza was served hot and fresh! We ordered two small one topping pizzas.. one cheese with pepperoni and one cheese with bacon. The guys working that night were awesome and had our pizzas ready in no time. The crust was excellent and was the perfect thickness. The bacon was crispy and the pepperoni was cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed our pizzas! There are so many yummy combinations that look so tasty. The names of the speciality pizzas are creative and fun. There is an immense selection of toppings for endless possibilities. They also serve calzones, wings, salads and caljoes, which according to the menu is a calzone trying to be a sandwich. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza, and my wife ordered their classic pepperoni. We also received a free soda with our pizzas. The pepperoni was our favorite! I'm a pizza "snob" having grown up in upstate New York, and the pepperoni was what I remember growing up eating! The sauce was made with an excellent balance of basil and tomato. The buffalo chicken pizza was good, we just desired a bit more Buffalo taste. It was very good still though! Got a pizza from here when it town recently. It was very average I would say. The dough was too thin, had no crunch, and little flavor. I like New York style pizza, but if you are going to make it that thin, it need to have some char and crisp, and this didn't. The ranch also tasted like it was bottled rather than homemade. Upon entering, it appeared fine. A young girl told us to sit wherever we wanted and asked what we would like to drink. When asked about beer/alcohol, she mentioned that we were just to go get it yourself, including your cup. Okay - even still, that's not a huge deal we're capable of walking a few feet. She didn't offer to refill our drinks and didn't talk to us again until she brought the check. We ordered a cheese pizza and it truly tasted as if there was no "red sauce" underneath.....leaving cheese and bread to the likeness of a lunchable. The environment was pretty clean and neat, but no music was playing so you could hear everyone's conversations (including the staff, which I'll get to). Another young girl entered and they began making weird noises, singing songs, being loud, etc. I understand this is a pizza place so whatever - albeit unprofessional, but ok. The girl, who I was not sure if she worked there or not, walked in the back and started carrying about 20-30 stacked pizza boxes and they almost toppled over as she tried to put them on a high shelf. She also started eating pizza in the register area. After paying, thanking the waitress, and offering a "have a good night," the other girl who I mentioned apparently also told us to have a good night, too. We did not hear her well because we were talking and walking out. AND because we had thanked our waitress we weren't looking for any other commentary as no one said anything else to us there the entire time. The other girl then says, "thanks you too!" in a squeaky/high pitched tone in attempt to mock us/get "back at" us for not responding to her comment we didn't hear her make. She didn't think we heard her and began laughing with the other staff. I responded to her and said "oh, I'm sorry I didn't hear you" to which she didn't reply and laughed with the other employees. Unprofessional staff being rude to customers isn't cool. We'll go downtown instead. read more
