Everything positive you've heard about this place is true and understated. This is some of the best pizza I have ever had and by my age I've had a ton of pizza. The green salad was so well balanced with a herby perfect dressing and my daughter and I shared a small to start. We also shared 2 small pizzas that were outstanding! We devoured both the Notorious FIG and the Knockout-the flavors were complex, and the crust was thin, crisp and perfect. Now back at our house we are debating going back for more. Right now. Service was excellent. Those folks are busy! Yet everyone seemed to work seamlessly together and always with a smile. Be good to yourself and go there. Order more than seems reasonable. I've been to Iggy's Pizza Shop twice now, and unfortunately both visits had the same problem: cold pizza. On my most recent visit I arrived early and sat right by the pickup counter so I wouldn't miss my order. I watched my pizza sit on the counter for about 12 minutes without anyone calling a name. Eventually I walked up and asked if it was mine, and sure enough it was. By the time I got it, the pizza had probably been sitting there close to 20 minutes, so it was cold again. When I mentioned it, the employee said they had called my name, which simply isn't true because I was sitting right there the entire time and never heard anything. What makes this even harder to understand is the price. A large pizza there runs about $27, and it's a very thin pizza. At that price you'd expect hot food and at least a little attention to making sure customers actually get their order when it's ready. My wife had the Notorious Fig, daughter a basic pepperoni and I had two different gluten free options the all meat and the aloha. The ladies enjoyed their pizza I was a bit disappointed with the gluten free crust was too chewy and not what I expected. Located in a cute mall strip in Mount Pleasant...charming decor and relaxing vibe when you step in. There's also a small bar to sit at for a drink. We ordered the The Golden Goat goat cheese salad. And a large half cheese half pepperoni pizza. They weren't too busy yet but it was only a Friday around 4pm. It did pick up while we were there, but we got served pretty quick. The Golden Goat cheese salad was golden for sure. We got it with arugula. The goat cheese was crispy and fried gently with the panko on the outside. Smooth and creamy on the inside. Heirloom tomatoes and honey drizzle were a perfect topping. I avoided the olives but my fiance enjoyed them. We ate it all and were ready for the pizza. Pizza was a bit small but it was just enough for 2 people. If you have more than 2 people I recommended getting more than 2 pizzas lol. However super delicious...crust was crusting , chewy crunchy and soft in one. Everything was seasoned well from the sauce to the cheese. They even made sure we had a box when it was ready. Had a few slices left over but it's now 10pm and we ate the rest at home. Wish they had more locations. Not sure if we can make that drive all the time. Visited Iggy's during our stay in Mt Pleasant. We were looking for a good local pizza place and they did not disappoint. We placed a call in order for the SAY ALOHA TO MY LITTLE FRIEND pizza and the Just Cheese calzone. Both were delicious. When I arrived to pick up the pizza, it was very busy so I knew it was going to be good. All of the staff were very friendly and working hard to take care of everyone. The pizza was cooked to perfection with a nice crunch on the crust. Toppings were plentiful and tasty. The dough for the calzone was terrific and the sauce had a great flavor. The only disappointing thing is that this place is 7 hours away from my home and I can't visit more often. read more

I diverted here from other food opportunities, but found it conveniently open, with some outdoor seats free despite it being reasonably busy. It was an order at the counter kind of place, and my food was quick despite the frequent takeout customers ambling by. A light and delightful salad arrived within minutes with a full-flavored dressing and bits of shaved cheese and onions. My pizza was a veggie special with cooked spinach and mushrooms. The crust was excellent; thick enough to really rise, but thin enough to flop, and the cheese blend had a New England-y sharpness to it. The spinach and mushroom combo needed some extra spice, but thankfully this was the sort of place that has the red pepper, oregano, and parmesan at the table, and the end result was a quality pizza. They were vegetarian-friendly in their specials and had a vegan cheese option, and while the other fancy pizza place I snubbed to go here was packed, the pizza didn't look as good as what I got here. read more

My husband said this is his favorite pizza in all of Charleston (and we've tried a lot of pizza the last ten years) Consulted Yelp on our way home from the beach and so happy we dropped in. Got in around 5 pm on a Saturday which seemed right before the big rush happened. All staff were so friendly, very attentive even though it is not a formal wait staff experience. Notorious FIG was amazing and honey needs to be on pepperoni pizza always. I am just going to say, I'm from the North! My friend runs lowcounty eat out whom is also from the North, we know pizza. She's told me she needs to try a place I've been suggesting in my neck of the woods and me vice versa. Well my husband and I were at a wake out that way and finally got to try it! I went to the counter and ordered and then looked ho and saw the pizza if this month and was confused all over again. So make sure you check out the board. I asked the girl up front to help me decide. I'm very indecisive with ordering, because I usually want it all! Anyways, we ordered two beers, a large 16 inch dopicious which is: Mushrooms, Spinach, Roasty Garlic, Red Sauce and a small 10 inch of The Knockout which is: light Pepperoni, Fresh and Shredded Mozzarella, Red Sauce, Honey, Basil, and a Pinch of Crushed Red Pepper. They were both incredible! I do wish we would have gotten a large of the knockout too. I couldn't stop. The sauce was perfection and the crust, YUM. The crust should have its own flavor, right? And when combined with the perfect sauce and toppings it's a dance party in your mouth!! I was skeptical to accept this place as better than some of the other pizza places in Charleston, and while I haven't had them all, this is certainly Mt. P's best pizza place. I got the Say Aloha to My Little Friend - first of all this combination of sweet and spicy always slaps, I don't know who those people are that say pineapple doesn't belong on pizza because you're wrong - it's delicious. For me it's the ricotta balancing everything out that really brings it home. The crust was perfect all the way through, the perfect wood fired taste and crunch. I also enjoyed the shamokin wings with ranch and they hit the mark on full flavor hot wings too. They aren't overly sauced but have a good flavor, the bones have actual meat on them, and they aren't super fried. They are a classic hot wing and I'm here for it. Oh and let's talk about the service. This place was BUSY and the girls working up front were so friendly and did a phenomenal job remembering what order belonged to who. read more

Best pizza in Mount Pleasant! It tastes like the original pizzas in Italy. The crust is thin and cooked perfectly in the brick oven. I like The Knockout - made with pepperoni, basil, hot honey, and a little crushed red pepper. The Notorius Fig and the Proof of Pi are delicious as well. Wow! This place is amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly, the customers were helping out (the ice machine was out of ice), they had a bin for cell phones that held cars games, the atmosphere was family friendly, and the food was delicious. The sign of great pizza starts with the crust. This place nailed it. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The red sauce was on point and the fig pizza was divine.
