No idea why this hidden gem isn't coming in at 5 Star but it's a wonderful spot off the beaten path away from the chaos. Perfect to pull up a chair, open your laptop and get some work done over a glass of wine and a bite. Relax! Let Derrick (manager) and his staff help. He is such an asset! They are over the top service and truly want you to be happy!! Trust me I'm fussy!

was a great spot to spend my 2 hour delay in. Spacious, quiet, and cozy. The server behind the bar took my order immediately and started working to fill it. I got a delicious wine flight (3 wine glasses) for $18

I really enjoyed my experience at Vino Volo during my layover in Philadelphia airport. The server was excellent and attentive and the sandwich was delicious. The food is kind of "overpriced" as expected but I didn't mind. Clean restaurant with warm ambiance. I would eat here again

What an excellent implementation of a Vino Volo. I've been to them at other airports and this is one of the best ones as far as space. It looks like they expanded a bit out of their space and added some tables to the side. It's nice to sit in the open rather than inside their "store". It wasn't overly crowded but I can see it getting cramped if a lot of people are there. This is the first airport place I've been where I've seen the charging "brick" with multiple USB outlets and a regular AC jack. We asked the waiter for it and were able to charge our phones. What else? Oh yeah! The wine! Reds were the choice of the day so we chose two of the different red flights. I'm no wino, so I appreciated the presentation of the wine glasses with an explanation of the things you should be tasting (fruit, cocoa, cinnamon, spices) as well as some basic categorization of the wine (Robust, Light, etc.). If you're not sure, ask the waitstaff as they seem pretty knowledgeable and can help you decide. The flights are a great way to try different wines . You can even buy bottles to go if you'd like. This was everything I expected a wine bar at an airport to be, plus great service and charging!

My brie sandwich with pastrami was good, but not amazing. I liked the cornichon sides. My wine flight was fun, with the descriptions on the paper of what I was having. It's a nice classy stop in the airport. Not crowded and I could choose my seat immediately

You had me at wine flights! Just finishing up the security checkpoint and I see this wine place, had lots of time to kill so wanted to check it out and try some wine. They are known for their wine flights and they also sell retail wine for you to take with or drink there. BEWARE!!! What I found crazy tho... was that if you ordered a bottle and drank it there, they charge you $12 for them to uncork it. Whyyyy... 2 glasses basically equaled that bottle but for $12 service fee... UGH wish that wasn't so. But it was. Anyways... we still stayed a had a glass each and also ordered a cheese plate. Had the Tempranillo which was good and I did like that they gave Tasting notes to make it feel like a real wine tasting. The cheese plate was also good, came with toast, nuts and a sort of jam. Service is great and I did like having this option instead of your usual fast food service that you find at the airport. The menu had lots of other great options for food too so definitely something to check out! If I'm at this terminal again, I would most likely stop here for a flight or a glass while I wait for my flight!

Vino Volo offers wine, victuals, and women[1]. Zoomed through PHL security and decided to stop in Vino Volo. Just sit somewhere, and a server will help you. (I chose the bar.) This charming wine bar - even for an airport terminal - has patio and dining room seating. Many diners were on cell phones or notebooks, but all had glasses handy. (It's privately-owned, and there's another PHL location. This one, in Terminal D, has been open since December.) Aside from wine, you can order various small plates. I tried the braised pork tacos ($5, for a half order; full is $9), with "South American spices" (who knows what that is, exactly), served with a fresh cabbage slaw. Tender meat, a spritz of lime added flavor. The corn tortillas a bit doughy for me, but wine made it all better. Wine flights are available so I went for their Mediterranean "Discovery" flight ($12): three glasses came out, each atop a label. I sampled a Spanish Flor d'Englora, Garnacha/Carinera, Montsant (2006) which had a happy, delightful aroma; a Lebanese Massaya, Cinsault/Cabernet, Bekaa Valley (2006); and a pungent Italian Terredora di Paolo, Aglianico, Campania (2007), with a bite. Chatted with helpful bartender Adam, and fellow patrons (Dan and John, passing through, and a local woman). John saw me snapping photos and remarked, "Facebook quality!" to which I answered, "better, actually". Vino Volo provides a temporary refuge from hectic process of travel, and a place to unwind. [1] Okay, there was only one young lady, but I partook in plenty of oenological delights all the same.

White wine flight $12.00 - two Californian and one Italian. Very relaxing spot to hang out and watch planes. I also ordered the Duck Spread ($12) which was a duck pate with crostini, olive jam and grilled onions. The serving of duck pâté was huge and my last crostini was piled high! Although you're paying premium prices, for some reason it feels fine since you're getting a classy experience.

Nice change or pace from your typical junk airport food. My wife had a very nice salad that she enjoyed and thankfully they do have gluten free options. The server was very friendly and we will certainly be back if we are in the area.

I came into town for a brief cameo to go to the Phillies/Mets game with my cousin chums, a game that will go down as one of the most unpleasant in-person experiences of my life, but that was to Barcelona's benefit; what the Mets lacked in competitiveness and quality starting pitching, Barcelona made up for with unique and tasty offerings. We stopped by this past Saturday afternoon around 2:30pmish. The movie marquee on the exterior is a very cool touch and definitely something you notice from a block out. It was a little chaotic when we first walked in (seemed like a birthday party or baby shower had just ended) so it took a few minutes to get someone's attention, but not a big deal. We got a chance to soak in the interior, which was pretty modern/pleasant; heavy emphasis on wood, both in terms of the tables and walls and cool, dim lighting. Given the sunny weather, we opted to sit outside and quickly requested a change to the shaded table after changing two or three skin tones in five minutes. All good. Everyone was emotionally drawn to the charcuterie (which would have been impossible to overlook anyway since it took up a significant chunk of the menu), and we went with the Aperitivo Board pretty much because one of my cousin chums has an unhealthy obsession with olives. Good overall though it didn't have the edgy variety of the top-tier boards I've had (which for my money usually include sweeter options like fruit compote and my all-time fave charcuterie accompaniment, honeycomb), but it did the job. The real highlight of the board for me and possibly everyone though was the patatas bravas, which was basically seasoned potatoes covered in garlic aioli. Delicious, even though it seemed a little naughty to have it on a charcuterie board. We also ordered two additional tapas, the albondigas and the jamon & manchego croquetas (I think), which translated roughly to meatballs and a bowl of French fries topped with an egg and some ham. In hindsight I don't know why we doubled down on the potatoes but it is what it is. The meatballs were very tender/juicy, but I don't think I sampled too much of the croquetas beyond grabbing a random French fry or two, so the combo of that dish was probably lost on me. Everything hit the spot though - no issues. I also got some chilled red wine, which I selected because red seemed like the move and it was very toasty outside. Not a particularly sophisticated thought process there, but didn't need to be. The service was fine; we weren't in a rush and basically had a leisurely pace throughout the meal that our waitress matched. It was pretty busy in our area as well, so if we were waiting a few extra minutes here or there, that made sense to me. A few of the Boomer male customers shot me passive aggressive looks at my Mets jersey, but I'm not going to blame the wine bar for some of their Cro-Magnon clientele; as long as your staff isn't making tongue-in-cheek comments about Chase Utley and Ruben Tejada, we're good. Very cool spot, and would have zero issue coming back to explore more of this lengthy menu, inside or outside.

We were a party of 8 and they were so nice to setup a table where we could all sit together even though it looked like they were full. None of our friends have ever been here so I let them decide what they wanted to order. We had many different tastes of wines to start from a Chardonnay, a pinot Grigio to a Shira. Everyone could not say enough of how good the wines tasted. The tables ordered charcuterie boards, a hot honey, pepperoni flatbread, margarita flatbread, pistachio pesto flatbread, two different types of french fries and a meatball martini. The group raved about the flavors of the different flatbreads. The pistachio flatbread was a great hit. No one would ever think of a flatbread with pistachios. Josh and Nick the bartender took care of us really great. We never had a wait for anything..

Prices are fair, especially given the location and overall quality. The wine list offers a solid selection of both red and white wines, available by the glass or bottle, and they also serve wine flights--three 2.5 oz pours, if I remember correctly. The cons: The menu isn't posted online (see my photos for sample menus), so you'll need to be comfortable going in without previewing your options. It's also not marked for gluten-free items, so plan on asking your server for guidance. Most of the wines feature grapes sourced from California, with a few selections from South Africa and at least one Malbec from Chile. Aside from some Oakville Cab Sauvs, I'm not a big fan of California wines--so if you are, you'll likely feel right at home here.

We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.
