I went in for a pedicure and they took me right back. I didn't have much time and needed just the basic pedicure. The ambiance was very nice, the entire place was clean... even the bathroom! The lady that did my toes was quiet but friendly. It was a bit too warm in the shop so I asked if they could adjust the temp and they did with no hesitation. I will definitely return.

I ended up finding Bernadette, an independent nail tech who works there--and she's been an absolute gem. While she does use a drill (contrary to what I originally searched for), she's incredibly skilled, gentle, and precise--so much so that it never damages my nails. Her technique is both efficient and mindful, striking the perfect balance between machine and hand filing. Initially, I was getting regular gel manicures, but Bernadette truly cares about nail health, and she suggested switching to builder gel (BIAB). It was a game-changer. Builder gel doesn't require soaking off and allows for continuous fills--meaning you can build on top of your last set without compromising nail integrity. Since switching, my nails have grown so long, strong, and healthy, and a single BIAB manicure can last me up to 6 weeks! Beyond nails, Bernadette is a wonderful person--easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and deeply caring. She also specializes in pedicures for clients with diabetes or other health conditions, which speaks volumes about her expertise and sensitivity to clients' unique needs. If you're looking for a thoughtful, health-conscious nail experience, I highly recommend Refresh Nail Spa and Bernadette in particular. It took my technician TWO hours for the services and it was really just polish as I asked for no cuticle services and didn't have any polish to remove. I didn't even distract her by talking to her as I could tell she was trying very hard on the nails and I had family there anyway. Everyone ended up waiting for me and we didn't get to go to dinner with how long it took. The next day I called and asked for a refund. The lady on the phone knew we were leaving for Hawaii so told me she'd write in a redo required on the date we got them done. flash forward to me calling for the redo, scheduling, calling the night before to confirm (because it was an hour away from me), showing the current technician the previous pictures, and then her yelling at me when it comes time to pay because I informed her it was a re-do. it left me speechless and out of $100 (for the two terrible visits). luckily no one has ever spoken to me like that before so I didn't know what to do. No one in my group will be going back and everyone from my group will be advising others not to.

She uses a cane for mobility and arrived during a heavy rainstorm. The salon manager watched her struggle to enter the salon with her umbrella but made no attempt to help. When she politely expressed her disappointment, he responded that he was not her "doorman" or her "slave" and told her to leave. Her technician, Ann, kindly apologized and helped her to the pedicure chair, but the manager continued shouting that she had to leave. He then came into the pedicure area, pointed at her, and stated, "This is your last time here." No customer--especially a long-time patron with mobility challenges--should be treated with such disrespect and lack of compassion.
