When I called the shop, a staff member--who I believe was the manager, Nick (sorry if I misspelled the name)--was incredibly kind and thoughtful. He immediately offered to help ship my bag back to my home in LA so it wouldn't disrupt my holiday plans at all. When I mentioned that I would be leaving California about a week later and was worried about timing, Nick reassured me that he would personally make sure everything was taken care of. True to his word, I received my bag before I left California, with everything inside perfectly intact. I even offered to pay for the shipping, but never heard back about the cost--and honestly, regardless of that, I am just deeply grateful for the kindness and integrity shown here.
