Never again! I came here a couple years ago and my nails were beautiful so I decided to treat my daughter to manicures and pedicures today. When I told the gentleman that my nails were way too sharp on the corners he kept taking length off and I kept saying no length just round the corners more. By the time he was done they were nubs and still extremely sharp corners. I explained that this was not at all what I asked for I was told there was nothing they could do unless I wanted to PAY to have them redone. I asked for the owner and the man I spoke to said he would give me $10 credit...my total was $220! I asked if I could if they couldn't be fixed for them to be removed and I was told that not only would they not give me a refund but I would have to pay $15 to have them removed! My daughters nails have bubbles, the polish does cover the tip on two, she was cut and still had tons of hangnails along with both of my big toes being messed up as well. In this economy if you have a customer willing to spend $220 in your establishment then I would try harder to give them quality work. Each of these items are minor and alone I probably wouldn't of even said anything but that is way too expensive for this to be brought to there attention and be told $10 was the best they were willing to do and I still feel like an adequate refund should be given. read more

This nail spot is the truth. Do not listen to the reviews that are low rated. You get what you pay for and they charge what they charge because of the great work. I have now visited 2 times and came in both times for my set that I already had. I am from Las Vegas and had the same awesome nail tech for 3 years. When I moved here I tried several places in lawrenceville where I live. And they all were horrible at designs, long acrylic sets, and was only good for overlays and manicures. I was stuck with soccer m nails for the first year of being here. In June I couldn't take it anymore and I flew home got my nails done, came back and found this place on google. Tammy filled my set and it was like I was back home. My first visit Monique was there getting her nails done. I chose hombre this time.They actually fixed someone else's work and she did an amazing job .I wish I got her name before I left. Vy did my nails I got zebra print design she used black for the print I expressed to her I didn't ask for that color and wanted a color that matched my nails . I told her this before she cured it so it could be fixed . She only did one hand but told me it was too late ! I do not recommend VIP Nails in Buford. Both Violet and Tu-Tu failed to explain the cost of additional services prior to giving them. So I assume they either are coached not to or their owner/manager does not care or such behavior. Also, my niece was asked to return another day to finish the design she asked for on her pedicure. I decided to give this nail spa a try . I was long over so but was looking to the correct place . I was really excited right up until and got seated and my nail tech was wayyyy more into side conversation with her coworkers . Most of us come in there to relax , I for one came off a long day of work and I just wanted to quite and instead I was surrounded by 2/3 people with them chatting away like I wasn't there . Later I asked about a new face depilation service to 2 nail tech and no one even know that they offered that service despite the big sign at the door . Later on during my service my nail tech decided she wanted to text and I was waiting on her to get off her phone to keep doing my nails and later instead she pulled her head phone out and was on a call. All this while I was supposedly supposed to be relaxing having my special time of getting my nails done . I got a plain acrylic set short length . Nothing fancy just acrylic and almond shape and I was charged 85 $ . Now I'm all for paying I've had 180$ sera done on my nails . But 85$ seemed toooo much for the simple set I asked for . Over all HOLLY the nail tech did amazing work I just feel like their customer service could be better , so they provide a peaceful environment to relax . And also more knowledgeable our their options . They didn't provide a price catalog, and didn't show the prices for manicure or pedicures and I feel that important so I know what I'm walking into . read more

This is my favorite nail salon in the area. I absolutely love Kelly. Kelly is a perfectionist pays attention to detail and genuinely love what she does. I am very picky and I do not have time to waste. I love the large selection of nail polish, the ombre powder as well as the gel nail selection. I have been coming here for about a year now and I always look forward to the excellent customer service and warm welcome. The salon is very clean. The TV monitors on all the walls are a plus. My Daughter who is a minor was taken advantage and ripped off. They are under new Management and charge extra fees which they did not tell her. The tech kept insisting on her getting extra length, coffin shaped nail, deep French. They added extra charges which my Daughter was not told about. $85.00 for mail she normally pays $60. They knew exactly what they were doing. My Daughter was very upset because she knew she was taken advantage of. When I went in to pay I told them they should have told her there were extra charges. I told them that was unfair and she should not have been charged extra hidden fees. They did not care. They only care how to steal money from people. We will never step foot in that place. I used to come here a lot so it's been my favorite place for about a year now and usually my pedicures are well done with a nice clean up and a good massage. But the past two times I've came after a long day of work it's felt so rushed and not complete. I Can deal with that but that's not even IT. My toes have come out with polish on my cuticles and around my toe nail area and it ended up peeling off the first few showers. I had to go home and refile my nails and finding a similar color to fill in the ones that flaked off. And I know that's gonna happen this time around too with the polish all over my toenail. Even after I asked them to refile and repaint my nails she only took a minute to refile a shorter crooked nail. They made me feel like an inconvenience so I ended up just leaving them how they were. For two pedis to be poorly done that's a waste of $150. They only see $$ they don't care what kind of service they give out unless you're carrying Gucci bags and wearing Prada shoes. :/ read more

Also most of my nails are very crooked jagged on the edges one of them the whole tip just popped off. I came in around 2pm on a Friday afternoon. They were able to take me immediately. My main concern was the wait-time/duration of my services because I was on an hour lunch break. Tom finished everything within the time frame! I opted for a polish-change for my toes and a full set with Gel Acrylic. Tom was awesome!! He painted my toes first then went to work on my new acrylic set. He was super fast, but as I was watching him, I could tell he was very thorough as well. Not a lot of chit-chat during my services, but that's okay because I prefer that haha. He had me finished within 55 minutes! Awesome! It's been about a week and my nails are still in great condition. He made sure to ask me about the thickness and shape, and after he finished shaping, he made sure that was the correct shape that I wanted. Totally love this place. I came here three weeks ago to get my polished fix. I was promptly greeted by the manager and was seated to get my nail fix. Samantha the technician did my nails. She did such an awesome job, I recommended her to my best friend. Today I'm back getting a gel polish pedicure and French polish on my fingernails. For pedicures this is the SPOT. After being inundated with ads for VIP Nails on Instagram, I decided to give them a try. Ive never visited this salon before so I wanted to be as prepared as possible. Armed with photo and artist in mind (even a backup--in case that person was busy) I phoned to check if appointments were required and was told that they accept walk ins. Upon arrival, The first thing I noticed was that the salon is beautiful and appeared clean with soft playing music and NO incense. I showed my photo and asked for the artists whose work I admired and was told that none of them were available but was assured everyone was capable. For the record, I wanted a full set with basic coffin shape. I was ensured that the person working with me could fulfill this order However, she asked me 4 times if I was sure that's what I wanted and then strongly suggested I keep my acrylic overlay and get a fill in instead. Seriously???? But, you know what...I did it because that's what I came in with and honestly if she kept suggesting something else AND making it seem like a basic full set with coffin shape was difficult to understand then she probably couldn't do it properly. So, I left with what I came in with. My main reason for even visiting was because I wanted to try something different. In the end, the universe said not here sweetie. I went with it. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for, so there is no way that my cuticles looked liked I was working on a car. The place is nicely renovated, but the quality of work is no so quality. My first impression, the lady at the front desk was very polite and efficient. It's spacious and a lot going on (decor) so if you are affected by lights and that kind of stuff it may not be a place for you. I just was really looking for talent and professionalism. They had displays of all the nail art and all nail trends. I waited for maybe 15 minutes wasn't bad since I had time to check this place out. Neon lined ceilings went with the beat of the music and lots of TV's. Lana greeted me with a smile and was all around professional and didn't seem like she hated her job. This place cheated us of money and service As an athletic male I have a few rough areas of skin on bottom of feet. Most places scrub this off with same price point as a regular pedicure, this place charges 5 dollars extra for what they call "callous removal", I opted not to do this assuming with the regular pedicure some rough areas would be removed with the scrubbing. Very minimal scrubbing was performed leaving me with almost no improvement in my rough areas on bottom of feet. Also when I paid for my wife and I, the "men's" charge is 25 NOT 23 as listed on the menu. I told the lady this and she said well there is another menu for men. I was never given any men menu. I will not return and recommend you clearly have all prices explained to you if you ever come here for below average service. read more

I looked at reviews before coming here and saw one staying that she ended up with an infection in her toe after a pedicure and I should have taken heed. I didn't think much of it but I got an acrylic full set and they were horrible (done by Kim) the polish was chunky, she did not know how to file the nails and 2 of them had broken off days afterwards. I went back for nail repair and to get them cut down or at least re-shaped since they were done horribly. They told me they won't cut or reshape them because it wouldn't "look right" and brought the same person who did them (Kim) to fix them and I was very annoyed. And then one of my nails were infected after my visit here. I would not recommend this place at all, is visually appealing but they do not have a proper skill set read more
