I had a pedicure at Tina Nails today, and I enjoyed the salon. They have a good selection of polish, though some bottles seemed a little old. The place is clean, and I felt like they were conscientious about safety with the tools. They have great reclining/massaging chairs. The people that work here seem really nice although this is definitely one of those nail salons that make up the prices as you go. They want you to sit down and get your nails done without telling you any prices. And they change the prices from what they first told you. At first the acrylic set was $30 but then they suggested I get a fill for the same price and when I said I didn't want it they told me $40 for the acrylic when they just quoted me $30. They filed down my nails too low with the drill and it hurt. My nails I had on before I came where on for two months so I didn't need a fill but I was trying to save money. Long story short My fill which is just filling the polish of my acrylic nails and repainting them, lasted 4 days since one of the tips broke off and now I'm out of $45 + a tip They need to get a menu with prices and stop making up prices on the spot based on what they want you to get. read more

I decided to come here considering this nail place was near the Mall of Georgia. I certainly do not regret it! The price range was moderate, and the staff wore masks. I got a gel manicure with the green glitter and my little sister got a regular nail paint session. The counter was a little bit dirty from where I sat and got my nails painted because there was droplets of dried up nail paint, however there was an plastic shield to separate the customer from the worker as they did your nails. My little sister accidentally messed up her thumb's nail paint while it was drying, and then the worker fixed it with no issue after I told her. The tools they used seemed clean, and everything else inside of the nail salon. I came here today on Christmas Eve, and they were giving out free candy canes that they decorated themselves! I live past the airport and I travel to this location since I was referred when I need a service. They are very pleasant and kind. They take their time and they do not rush. I truly get to enjoy the spa chair and the services I receive. I even have dozed off a little because they sometimes have on something on the TV that's spa like. Benny and Cindy are nice. If I could give zero stars I would! This is by far the worst nail salon ever been to get service. For starter, lack of nail color selection. Then the quality just SUCKS!!!! I went in for a fill in and pedicure. Pedicure was good it was the fill in service with two finger repair (pinky and index finger) One , the old Man doing my nails has poor customer service not friendly at all! So I picked a color. The man didn't even bother to buff the polish off from my previous set. He basically tried to use the new color over the old color. Then kept my marble design on my ring finger from previous set. Basically paid for same color I had. Then a day later after getting serviced , my pinky nail started to lift. I went back for them to repair and couldn't even find the color to match the rest of my nails. Day after I got my pinky nail fixed , my index nail started to lift ( mind you these are the two nails they repaired). To top it off day after got my pinky nail fixed I started to notice my nail Brown. It got infected !!!!!! Here I am only two weeks after the service and now got THREE NAILS lifting and one cracked !! I've gotten my nails done in John's creek before and my nails have lasted FOUR weeks before needing a fill. I didn't go there to get a fill bc I live in Buford and didn't want to drive to John's creek that day and needed my nails done asap for an occasion. This is what I get for cheating on my regular nail salon ! Never ever will I give this establishment my hard working money ! Poor service and quality no wonder the place was dead ! FYI - I work in a office at a desk , so in no way I was too harsh on my nails to have lifted in just a day or week after getting this so called fill in. read more

I came here on Christmas Eve to get my nails fixed , V took care of me right away I told him my frustration with my set I had done at another nail salon which was not lasting nothing I was in there every 3 days for a broken nail . Mind you every visit they would charge , so V started again from scratch a brand new set and I was very happy with his work it lasted me almost 3 weeks and no broken nails ! I was so shocked at how good my nails turned out. Whoever did my fill in (the older gentleman, sorry i didn't catch his name!) clearly knew what he was doing and I didn't have to ask for anything extra. They have tons of gel shades to choose from. Prices are reasonable, it was $30 for an acrylic fill in with gel polish. My nails were honestly so bad before this but he totally fixed the shape and now they look amazing. I went here for the first time on Monday for just simple sns with a manicure after being referred by a friend. It took them over 2 hours to do my sns, the manicure is $10 extra and all they do is clip your cuticles, no hand massage or anything, then at the 2 hour mark I was rushed out because of other appointments and paid $50 before tip. They were also trying to insist I have gel top coat but I am a hair stylist and it will stain so I insisted on the sns top coat. It took the man 5 minutes to find the bottle and another 5 to get the cap off "because they never use it." The top coat left weird smudge spots on 4 of my nails and 3 broke the next day. read more

I should have known by looking at the condition of the nail polish selection that the bottles were OLD. You know how polish looks when it has been sitting for a long time? And when I took the lids off of several to see what they looked like on my fingernails, it was thick and gooey. I went ahead got manicure. When nails were finished, I sat at the manicurist station for about 10 minutes and let a small, barely blowing, in-table fan dry my nails. I was very careful not to bang my nails. By the time I was at the mall (literally across the parking lot from salon) THREE nails had smudged JUST LIKE OLD THICK NAIL POLISH DOES! I returned to salon and politely showed the male manicurist (I think he is the owner) who painted them. He fixed them without apologizing or saying anything. Guess what? Now home and two other gooey nails are now smudged. The same thing happened to my daughter at Tina Nails in March with a pedi---polish went on thick and gooey and smudged WAY too easily. She went back the next day and had to have it fixed. I should have returned to ROYAL NAIL LOUNGE in Hamilton Mill because it is new and all the polishes are new, too. Fifteen dollars down the drain-$12 for mani and $3 for tip. Tina Nails needs an update. There are so many other nail places around this area. Don't go. read more

I went to Tina's with a friend over the weekend. It was not very busy for a Saturday, which was a pleasant surprise. I liked that they had a show about the Pacific Islands on TV instead of an Asian language film or the news. The technicians were welcoming at first, but then after I declined a deluxe pedicure, things really seemed to go south. The woman who did my mani was very nice, but the woman doing my pedi (Lia I think she said her name was - did not speak much English) was horrible. She drew blood on my cuticles on both big toes. Apparently I also had bad "hang nails" or whatever they are technically called when the nail gets into the side, and it hurt like the devil. I asked her several times to please stop trying to do whatever she was doing, but she continued to dig. Also, she was texting a good bit and accepted a cash tip from another customer without removing her gloves and then went right back to work on my feet! I'm not usually a germaphobe but this was just gross and mainly unprofessional. My friend had a much better experience with her mani only (it was a gentleman, do not remember his name), but I will certainly not be back. read more

V is awesomely patient with me (i'm 9 months pregnant now so i have to keep moving to stay comfortable). And i dont know what it is about his technique that makes my nails last so long but it works. I went to my appointment at 4:30 someone walked in he repaired her broken nail did not get to me until 5pm, then I received gel it was really thick not smooth very lumpy and I told him what polish, he did that polish clearly it was the wrong polish, this is the 3rd time he has done this and he offered to redo it but after being there over 2 hours I was too tired and ready to go, he stated he was sorry and still charged me full price, he always asking for a tip I hate that too. I've been going there for years when they 1st opened and I wont't be back poor service all he could say was he is sorry and have the audacity to ask for a tip. This is my first time going here for acrylics and I am BEYOND pleased with the results! I'm so picky about my nails and my cuticles are very dry. If my nail technician doesn't clean up my cuticles first it makes for an ugly set of nails, so I asked for a manicure first. I'm always worried to do this due to the fact that in the past when I ask for a manicure before my acrylics I feel I get a half ass job. Sonny, my nail technician listened to me and did an amazing job cleaning my nails up and taking care of my cuticles, paying special attention to moisturizer! My nails are shaped perfectly and look incredible. Every other time I get a full set there is something that isn't right or bothers me..but this time I am so incredibly amazed with my nails!!! I went in for a quick polish change on New Years Eve. They were the only nail salon around the Mall of Georgia that wasn't on a wait. Thanks to Yelp I found this place and had service right away! They have a huge flat screen TV that had a nice underwater educational video on (animal planet I think). I loved that since most salons usually have the news on. My technician was quick and accurate and nice to talk to. It was clean and a comfortable temperature and no nasty smell. I'll return again. read more

Have gone twice once for acrylics full set and again today for fill and eye brows. Had a different technician today and he was good too. Ive been to several nail salons in the area and this ones the best so I will continue going there. My eye brows look great and I enjoyed my upper face massage complementary with eye brow service.
