Not only did i immediately like it after she was done while I was still in the salon, but I still liked it after I washed it and played with it myself a couple days later. It didn't take couple of weeks to fall back in love with it. I immediately loved it! I also really like Natashia. I felt like she really listened to me and answered all my questions. She also explained her technique to me as she was doing it and how it would affect the end result. I loved that she gave me that level of understanding. She also explained blew dry my hair beautifully. I recently had a baby and couldn't go in for my full service because of my breastfeeding schedule, and she explained how we could modify my service for a shorter session that would get me to the next time we meet for a longer session. I can't tell you how much i appreciated that level of understanding and flexibility. I would definitely recommend Natashia to others, especially if they're looking for blonding services. The space itself was very clean and had a boho southwest vibe too. It's dry cute and Natashia told me that the owner made the drift wood light fixture over the hair-washing sinks herself! How cool is that! I also like that this salon has a transparent payment structure and you can choose a stylist that aligns with your budget. I was ok paying twice the cost of a regular pedicure because this seemed like a special place. I went to the Juan Tabo (NE Heights) location. I walked in the front door and the room had bare white walls, empty shelves that looked to be from a department store circa 1980 and some bare bones manicure stations and massage chairs. It was unfinished, uninviting and did not appear clean. I was highly confused given the photos on the website. I was sure my nail tech was going to take me to another room, but she didn't. She had me sit in one of the massage chairs. Is the Juan Tabo location unfinished? If so, don't serve customers there or warn them and give them a discount. The description of the Signature Hot Towel Pedicure is this: Indulge your feet in steaming hot towels throughout this entire service, which includes three (yes, three) soothing massages using our very own exfoliating sugar scrub, nourishing body butter, and hydrating lotion. This description says nothing about the fact that it would be a water less pedicure. It was fine, but you need to communicate this. Also, the pedicure chair is an anti-gravity massage chair. They let you choose the type of massage you want and leave you for 10 mins. This thing expands and contracts around you and was quite claustrophobic. It lifts you off the ground, so I looked at dirty ceiling tiles for 10 mins. I chose the relaxing (non intense) massage, but I was bruised the next day. The nail polish job was embarrassing. The big toe nails had bubbles and it looked like she'd applied more polish before it dried. (See photos.) She dried them by waving a piece of paper over my feet for 5 seconds. The BioSculpture nail lacquer smells like car paint. My husband noticed it as soon as I got home and it stunk up my car. It was regular nail polish as far as I know. Everything about the experience was filled with false advertising. They sent a survey and I wrote the same thing I'm writing here, but no one responded to me. I've never paid so much for a simple pedicure. What a shitty place.

Aside from a nice looking manicure, I wanted to find a place that actually cleaned their equipment so I wouldn't be afraid of getting a nail fungus. The owner explained that she purchased a machine to sterilize the equipment, going above the basic disinfecting laws in place. The shop itself is small, only 2 hair stylists, and 1 nail tech, but nothing is lacking. I enjoyed the coziness of it. I expected the place to be decorated Indian because of the name "TAJ", but it wasn't! The owner explained that it was her & her 2 daughters initials. Before leaving my house I saw that the shop was open, when I parked-- the door was wide open and there was already a customer in the pedi chair. I asked if they had time for a pedicure and was told, "not open." I saw that their business hours on the door were different from the online posting. Great! I have time to grab a coffee and be back. I returned after and before entering asked again if they were open, she said yes. I asked if there was time for a pedicure, and was told "no one is here." Mind you she was finishing a pedicure, the neon lights were on, she was actively servicing a customer and I was turned away. Most places encourage you to sign in and wait, give a wait time and/or let you start soaking your feet. I don't care the convenience of it being nearby, I'll take the time to go elsewhere and not support a business that actively turns customers away. The lady was not friendly, not welcoming, and really didn't seem to care for customer service. After reading other reviews, seems consistent for this place. I only give a one star because zero stars is not an option.
