I went to this vision works back in February. It is now June and I have decided to come here to write a review. This was the first time for me at this location and with vision works in general. The entire experience was awful. I came in for my scheduled appointment and waited in front of the desk while the man who was training a women told me to wait one moment. He then proceeded to continue to train her and even made a phone call with her. I stood there for about 20 minutes just watching him make a phone call. That was annoying but whatever I just wanted to get a new contact prescription and speak to the doc about some vision issues I was having in the dark while driving. After this I was called by what I assume is the medical assistant. She did the usual eye test on me and then asked if I would like to get my retina scanned for an extra 30 something dollars. I asked "is this something the doctor recommended to all patients". I would have done if it was but she proceeded to reiterate her speech about what the imaging was for and I said I understood what it was but is it something that all patients should receive and she responded the exact same just with attitude and was clearly annoyed. I didn't do the scan cause I was so embarrassed and uncomfortable about the entire conversation. Then I got to see the doc. I explain to him the vision issues I am having at night. I say I love my contacts they have been the only ones I have ever used and have no issues. He said I have dry eyes. I said I don't think it's a dry feeling but more of a vision issue when I'm in the dark especially when driving. He kept repeating what seemed like a script about how our vision can get bad when our eyes are dry. It was super frustrating because I felt like he wasn't actually listening to me. He completed the exam and said he would give me a different prescription for contacts that were for dry eyes at this point I didn't care I checked the price and it looked like the new contacts were the same price as my old ones and I figured it could not hurt to try them if he actually believes I have dry eyes. Checking out with the same man at the front desk was uncomfortable. He was clearly frustrated and I guess at this point I was too so I left with my prescription and purchased contacts somewhere else. (Thank god too because the quote they gave me was twice the price as what I paid for them on 1800 contacts). So the reason I came back to write this review months later Is because 1. I can't stop thinking about how awful that interaction was with the doctor and the rest of the staff not being heard by a provider was awful. 2. I AM STILL HAVING VISION ISSUES. I will be seeing a provider shortly for these issues as they are really starting to worry me. 3. These contacts are horrible. I have been using them since February and they are always giving me issues. I felt like I never had issues with dry eyes so maybe these just aren't for me. Sucks because I bought a year's worth. Lesson learned and won't be doing that again. read more

Recently, the temple on my eyeglasses broke. As a full-time photojournalist, I *need* my eyes to do my job (hahaha...yes, yes, thank G-d for autofocus!) and I don't play around with my vision, eye care or eyewear. It's why I've been a Visionworks customer for 10 years. Honestly, when the glasses broke, I did not even panic because I knew Sarah and the others at Visionworks Six Corners would have a solution. I called the store and explained the situation. The staff checked my frame model number and, indeed, the had another pair in stock. I arrived a few hours later, Sarah handled the replacement process and adjusted the new frame for my face, and I was back in business lickety split! read more

I am very upset at how this place functions. I went in for an eye exam on 12/03/2020 and wanted to place an order for eyeglasses that I fell in love with at the store. The store associate, Sara Garcia, mentioned something regarding "inventory" and that she would call me a week later in order to place my order for the eyeglasses that I wanted. I am not sure what happened, but it's 12/29/2020 and I never received that call. I've been trying to call the store for weeks on end but the store associates keep sending me to voicemail and the mailbox is full, so I can't even leave a voicemail on top of not being able to reach anyone at the store. If the eyeglasses are out of stock or if the store no longer sells them, then I understand, but Sara should have contacted me with an update and not left me hanging like this. We're in the middle of a pandemic and I've been traveling for work and didn't want to go to the store and put everyone at risk. I am conflicted at the moment and the only solution is for me to visit the store and I guess I'm going to have to take the risk. THE LEAST you could've done is cleared the mail box. read more

I love this place! Dr Gonzales is phenomenal. He's patient with my kids and sympathetic. And the whole staff was helpful and friendly!

If I could give it 0, I would. I thought the customer service was horrible...cold and unfriendly. They screwed up the order for my son's glasses and didn't bother to tell us. When we went to pick them up, the clerk took them out and put them on him, no mention. It was fixed in the end, but it was a pain. He was supposed to have a scratchy free coating, thy scratched in a week. My glasses lasted for 2 months, no exaggeration. The coating started peeling off around my ears and up the sides, then eventually all around the lenses. I went in and was blamed for it. I was told I should have bought the warranty. After much arguing, the clerk called another store to talk to a manager as the one for this local wasn't in or answering his cell, and the other store manager had the issue solved in less than a minute. I exchanged the frames for the ones on display. So, I was only mildly surprised when a month later the same thing happened. Contacted corporate, eventually was offered a new frame, but when I called the store, nothing was in. No one has bothered contacting me since. I will never go back to his place. Having worked in customer service for over 15 years, I know there are better ways to handle situations like this. Seriously disappointed! read more

If only I could give zero stars. My family and I have been loyal customers for over 10 years. I called to schedule my yearly eye exam and to clarify the new prices, due to COVID-19 pandemic. I understand everything has gone up. As I get to my appointment, once again confirming the price with the receptionist before entering the exam room, wound up getting charged more than I was told AFTER my exam due to a different eye exam I needed. I've never seen such shady business practices and blatant theft of my hard earned money than walking into this place. No one told me that I would have to pay more. I then asked for my prescription just so I could get out of this place and was told to wait 30 minutes. As an hour has passed of me trying to be polite and cordial, am promptly asked, "what am I doing here?" They completely forgot about me after they had already ripped me off. So not only am I getting shafted monetarily, they then waste 2 hours of my time as I'm late to pick up my daughter from daycare. This place is abominable and wouldn't recommend to anyone ever. Do yourself a favor and go to any establishment other than this one. read more

Okay I came in here since they had a sell going on, and in total they were charging me $500 lol so I decided to think about it, Since my husband came with me to the appointment he said they were charging way to much even tho the frames I was trying to get where BeBe, so I decided to stop by at American Best and happen to find the same frame for $200 in total. I was surprise I save myself $300. Today 7/16/20 They mixed up the appointment last week and rescheduled for this week and upon arrival, the girl greeted with '"do you have an appointment?"' The answer was yes, I have an appointment, then.she answered the phone and stayed on without getting any information about the appointment or even a name. I called and scheduled an appointment for initial visit. I received text confirmations, but I just received a call from them that my appointment has been cancelled because I had not confirmed. I am flabbergasted that the person had the audacity to call me and tell me that I had been cancelled when I received 2 texts confirming my appointment, even when I had personally called to schedule an appointment. My insurance only covers for certain things so I have to pay most of it out of pocket. Sara took good care of me. She made sure I was getting the best deal with what my insurance will cover and using the store discount promotions. She explained everything with ease. I ended up saving over $200 and I got the frames I wanted instead of settling for contacts. Speaking of frames, this location has lots of different styles so arrive early to browse. This review is based solely on the customer service I received at Vision Works. I received an eye exam as well there which was fine. I had brought in 2 of my own frames and wanted to simply replace the lenses with my new prescription. I have done it previously, the frames were purchased at Vision Works so I didn't think there would be any problems. The optician told me that he would not be able to use the frames, some nonsense about there being a space at the top of the frame, a screw has been replaced, would not be able to trace the lenses, who would even believe such a pack of lies?? Took the frames over to Pearle, they were able to put the new lenses in the frames and spent a fraction of the price I would have spent at Vision Works. I even asked Pearle if it would be difficult to use the frames and they said, 'Not a problem, it will be very easy to put new lenses in the frame'. Obviously, Vision Works wants you to buy new glasses so they can make more money but in this down economy why should I buy new glasses when I already have the frames. I'm taking my business to Pearle from now on, Vision Works is deceptive and practices on lies to the public for their own financial gain. read more

I have been visually impaired most of my life. I have also moved a bit and had to discover a new place for my impairment often. I liked Visionworks. I mean it's not the trendy spot that charges you and exter $50 because they are just so cool. It is a chain store that has pretty good rates and very informed eye care professionals. They allowed me to test 3 different types of contact lenses before choosing my original ones. They were very patient and explained more to me about my vision than any of those fancy spots I have gone to in the past. This place is close to home, has a good price and good doctors. read more

I've gotten my eye exam here twice and I really like the optometrist. She's nice and good at what she does. They have different deals running all the time so make sure to ask what specials they have. I got a deal with lightweight glasses and polarized prescription sunglasses. My aunt who works at an optometrist office in Dallas said I got a very good deal. Hopefully they will include their fashionable sunglass frames in future deals, I had to order one that's not intended to be a sunglass frame but it still looks good. Appointments are not required but advised because they may run out of space for walk-ins. A tip for those who have a flex account for medical expenses: eyeglass cleaning solution and kits are allowed. read more

This was my first time at this location and everyone here was great. Dr Christine Trinh is wonderful about explaining everything as you go along and I have to say that the additional testing is worth the extra cost because even though the pressure in my eyes is fine, I may be developing glaucoma in one eye based on the scans. Dr. Trinh explained everything and provided me with a referral to an ophthalmologist for further testing. They have a great selection of frames priced from $$ to $$$$ so you have options and the entire staff is awesome as far as helping you with your purchase. I had my yearly check up, and faced heavy pressure to purchase my contact lenses from them, even after explaining that my lenses (Biofinity Toric) were about $16 cheaper per box from Costco and Walgreens. There was no offer to price match. To make matters worse, the incompetent sales staff overcharged me for my exam. My insurance company ended up reimbursing me for the amount I was overcharged. Went in here about a week ago to get new glasses. The 2 young woman that attended were very helpful and nice. Had an appointment at 12:30 and was ready to go about 1:25, went trough my options in the glasses and everything was very thorough. Picked up the glasses a few days later and very happy. This was the best eye service i've had. I have been wearing glasses since the age of 2. I broke my glasses and was desperate to get new glasses within the hour. I called the young lady she checked my insurance and scheduled my appointment very quickly. I was 10 minutes late and I was still seen. The optometrist was amazing. She was patient and checked my eyes very throughly. I choose my glasses and sat down with the staff and she broke down all cost and I brought 2 pair. The manager was great he cut my lenses within 20 minutes and BOOM new glasses. I was soooo thankful. The staff made my day, the optometrist was awesome and the manager was the bomb.com. After my insurance changed I was struggling to find a new doctor and unsure about seeing an eye doctor in a frame shop but my family had the best experience. All the staff was so professional, helpful and patient while we had multiple family members that needed help. I will fully admit that I booked an appointment here with a bit of trepidation after reading the reviews, but it was close to my apartment and took my insurance, so off I went. That being said, the reviews couldn't have been further from the truth, thankfully. To start, I booked an appointment online for that evening. Within a minute or so, I received a call from Sarah, who apologized and said that a doctor wasn't available that evening (website glitch, evidently) but offered to get me in the next day. Super easy, thanks, Sarah! When I arrived, I was cheerfully greeted by Sarah and Jasmine. I submitted my info, filled out the forms and headed back for my appointment. Dr. Christine Trinh did my exam. She was thorough, patient and knowledgeable and was an absolutely lovely person to boot. And for what it's worth, the glasses I ended up with have the most miraculously clear prescription I've ever had... my eyes are terrible, horribly nearsighted, but I swear that I can see clear to another state with these bad boys. Thanks, Dr. Trinh! The frame selection really was fantastic. (I'd been going to America's Best for a few years, and while I was able to get glasses I *liked*, I never really *loved* any of them.) Also, I knew what my insurance would cover and I didn't have a huge budget beyond that, so that was certainly a factor in my decision. I probably spent 30 minutes scrutinizing the displays and ended up with 10 pairs or so that made it to the final cut. The staff here allowed me to peruse the frames while offering help if I needed it but without making me feel rushed or pressured. The real star of the show was Jordan (who ultimately found the pair I ended up buying, but more on that in a bit). During my visit, there was another customer who had a mountainous pile of frames, a gazillion questions and, while being kind and polite, seemed indecisive and unclear as to what she was actually looking for. She was sweet, but, quite frankly, a customer service nightmare who admittedly made me briefly question as to if there was a hidden camera somewhere. Everyone there was being exceedingly helpful, but Jordan eventually sat down with her and was able to help her decide. His communication skills are off the charts, he has the patience of a saint and he was 100% invested in finding her something she liked. That interaction alone was notable enough to warrant a review, because having worked in varying aspects of the retail and service industries for the the better part of almost 30 years, I can honestly say that I would have mentally checked out after that, or at the very least, needed a nap. Anyway, back to Jordan the rock star. I had narrowed down my selection to 3 frames, and while I didn't want to spend money out of pocket on them, was really leaning toward the more expensive pair. He came over and offered to help, which was stellar considering the situation he had just handled with the other customer, quite frankly. However, he really seemed to know what he was doing so I gratefully accepted the help. He gave his opinions on my 3 frames, asked what I was looking for, listened to my budget concerns and then soldiered off to find me something. He eventually brought me the frames that I ended up purchasing, and which I LOVE, and I didn't need to spend anything additional. (Double score!) He said that they would be ready within the next 10 days, but they arrived 3 days later with no issues. As mentioned, I was pleased with the whole experience (store, staff, selection, etc.) but Jordan really impressed me with his customer service. He really wants to see his customers happy with their glasses and moreso, with their experience and because of this, he's won a new customer. :-) read more

This is is the best! I had an issue with my insurance and they took the time to call my insurance company to help me. Then they said it would be 10 business days for my new glasses to come in. That was on Friday and Tuesday evening I picked up my glasses and they fit perfectly. I will be coming back! Thank you for everything! read more

This place sucks! Went here because it was close and they accepted our insurance. Very unprofessional staff! Tried to totally upsell on everything including unnecessary tests during eye exam. Said 7-10 days on glasses. Called after 14 days to find out where the glasses were. They said they called us days before and left a voice mail. NOPE! Liars!! Checked our call log, no missed call from them, no voice mail. Will never go back! Took the prescription and ordered glasses online for less than 50% of what they wanted to upsell us!! read more

I called at 11.30 am and asked them if my husband can come in today, what's the earliest they can take him. They said 12.15 pm. Great. Do you take so and so insurance yes, cool. We'll be right there. My husband walks in on time to find out they took a walk in. What?!?!?!? What's the point of me calling and making an appointment only for you to take a walk in?!?!? And this time guy answers and says that was miscommunication, we said we will take you if there is no walk in. Like hello?!?!? Are you kidding me? No one said that when I was calling and we discussed about if they accept our insurance or no. All that talk and u say that was not an appointment. And you tell someone to come in at certain time only to tell them come back later in the day? I was at this place when I was pregnant once. I liked the doctor. She was sweet and nice. Scheduling staff or front desk people. If the owner or person responsible reading this. You lost family of 4s business and I'll tell all other ppl I know don't go to this specific location. read more

If you're going to use this eye dr I would suggest getting paper copies of everything. I was given the wrong prescription for my contacts. When I called to question why all my boxes were exactly the same they stated that was my prescription. As I got a new job where I had to look at a computer screen more I noticed it was more difficult to see. Now six months later I had them send me my script to confirm what they told me over the phone and for sure my left and right contacts are not the same prescription. The Drs seemed very nice. It's unfortunate I had a bad first experience but Jordan, the manager, was super helpful in getting things resolved. Because of him, I can trust that this was a one-time mistake and will consider returning in the future. Mistakes happen and the difference between a good business and bad business is owning up to them. This business clearly cares about their customers. read more

My son has Tourette's and we were in need of glasses fast. He is very rough on them and usually ends up breaking each pair he gets within a few weeks. So we decided to try Visionworks. I couldn't be more impressed. The staff were as friendly and helpful as could be. They did not pressure us in any way to purchase unnecessary things. The gentleman even showed me a wonderful pair of bendable glasses which were just perfect for my son. They were very open to hearing my issues and addressing them right away. The price was not bad at all and as promised, our glasses were ready by 3p.m. the same day. My son was absolutely THRILLED with his new glasses and so was I. I couldn't be happier with the service. Why does this place only have 3 stars?!?!!! Well it's time to boost their ratings up people! I haven't written much yelp reviews but every time I have an amazing or super poor experience somewhere, it bugs me until I write something about it. In this case, AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I came here for the first time just a few months ago right before the holidays. Jordan greeted us and took great care of us. Now I have to say I've been wearing glasses and contacts for about or just over 20 years now, so I know a good visit from a bad one in this field. Jordan was extremely professional and very welcoming. His knowledge is outstanding. I was seen almost immediately after I arrived. The dr I saw was really great as well. I really enjoyed the extremely thorough eye exam she gave me. Nothing felt rushed. And she explained and talked to me about some things that were never brought up to me before! You don't know how much I appreciated her share of knowledge with me and honesty in everything I brought up and asked her about. While I was in getting my eye exam, Jordan was out there picking some frames for me! It was so sweet to come out to find a nice selection of frames, he recognized my style immediately and what works for me. I have to say he picked so many great frames I loved, it made the selection hard as I couldn't pick just one! But he also made the narrowing down so easy. And I ended up choosing one of the frames he picked for me! Jordan got it right on the money! I really appreciated this attention to detail to his client. I'm used to having someone walk with me as I'm looking around and maybe picking one or two frames for me or just helping narrow down what I grabbed. So It was a nice surprise that he went on his own to look around for me while I was getting my exam done. This man has such a great eye to attention and detail. He shared all his knowledge on the lenses they offer as well and we chose the best ones for my prescription and glasses. I have to say, with my terrible prescription lol, these are some of the best and thinnest lenses I've had! Overall I was beyond satisfied with my visit at this visionworks. Dr Trinh was great, thank you doctor! And Jordan, amazing customer service! Thank you so much for all of your help, we appreciate it all!
