We called Vista on a Saturday night, hoping to get a recording that told us the store hours. Instead, Sam answered the phone, and arranged to meet us on Sunday morning at 9. He opened the store for us, and even gave us cold water, chocolate and a home made pastry while he did smog check on our car. I can honestly say I never had such an enjoyable experience while getting a smog check! read more

My smog check couldn't have been easier. Vista Test was able to fit me in the same day I called and it only took about 10 minutes for the test. The mechanic was very friendly. Given my schedule, it helped me that they were open on Sundays. I recommend them! read more

I hardly write a review in Yelp and the personal service I received from Sam was too exceptional not to be recognized. He was very pleasant to deal with. Offered coffee, tea chocolates. Everything they say is true! A true gentleman offering professional service at a reasonable price. Plus he's open on SUN! and until 6 weekdays. Add in that he's quick (in n out 20 mins) offers free cold water and something sweet...NEVER go anywhere else. Thanks for making time for me when you had an appt of your own to go to Sam! Oh and PS, ask to see his chandelier work portfolio--he's a master at more than smog tests ;) read more

I was brand new to California and needing a smog when I came across this place on East Colorado. What a great choice, too. The staff was friendly and very quick. I liked their service and hospitality so much, I returned to the shop next-door for some routine fixes on my car. Had I not recently moved away from Pasadena, I'd bring my new BMW into them for any kind of fix! Great guys, highly recommended! read more

The place looks... well.... there is nothing refined about this garage. I called ahead and had my smog check finished within 20min, including the evap thing for older cars. Thom was friendly and quick. The garage had some old magazines and a few chairs. But no one goes to stay, since it is a test center. read more

Fantastic! Called from Pep Boys where I was told almost 2 hour wait, Popped over to Vista, was taken care of very quickly by Carlos, who also handed cold water to me and the other 2 in the waiting area. Nice! Carlos was super nice, extremely efficient & did the fastest smog check I've ever had. This is my new smog place- highly recommend!! For first timers, it's on the north side of Colorado, look for the vertical bars. It's in the right hand corner (couple other mechanics on this lot.) read more

No joke...best place for a smog. Sam is actually a professional chandelier builder, and has a full time smog gig too. He is honest, and just a good guy. Customer service is great. Free drinks and snacks while you wait. This place is solid. Prices are very reasonable...actually cheaper than most smog places. Try them out...I guarantee you wont be disappointed. read more

I was looking on line trying to find a good smog check station!! I was also looking to see if I could get a good discount somewhere!! I ran across Vista Test Only Center and found a on line coupon that said if my car was the year 2000 or newer, my smog check would only cost $26.75!!! I really didn't believe it so I gave them a call. To my surprise it was true!!! :)) When I arrived there the workers were eating there lunch, but Carlos greeted me right away and told me to have a seat. About 10 minutes later Carlos asked me to sign the smog papers. I thought he was getting ready to start the test, but to my surprise, my car was done!! This was by far the best ever Smog Test Experience In My Life!!! My total cost out of the door was $35.00!! Priceless!! Thank you so much Vista, and thank you Carlos for the great service!! I will always get my smog test done at Vista!!! :)) read more

You can share with them that you are not sure if the car will pass smog and they can try to do a few basic things to gauge right off the bat which we appreciated. After I pickup my supra I noticed the exhaust sound wasn't consistent which Flow Master and lifted the car to discover a generic no brand muffler and very poor welded job. When I confronted Omar, he said that despite my muffler not saying it was a Flow Master. I called Flowmaster the company to confirm, and they let me know they do not create Flowmaster mufflers without the Flowmaster brand emblem. Advance Muffler also had installed a 'magma flow" muffler on my son's Acura Integra a few months back so I also lifted his car to find that his muffler was also generic with no brand markings. I spoke to Omar about the situation and he refunded my Supra install and stated he is not a muffler guy and didn't know. I believe this shop often claims to sell you brand name mufflers, like Flowmaster at a premium price and installs generic no name mufflers not expecting customers to ever check.

These men are only *in it for the money*!!! I was in dire need of a smog test and my gf discovered their UNBELIEVABLE DEAL thru Yelp-- "$29.99 for smog test;" so we immediately headed for their shop. When we arrived, there were only 2 other customers waiting for their smog test as well. And when I happily mentioned the $29.99 Yelp promotion to the gentleman name SAM processing my paperwork, he gave me an incredulous look of disdain because ultimately they wouldn't be able to HUSTLE & SCHEME any unnecessary amount of money from my pocket! ((thanks A%$H&!@+)) **keep in mind-- the standard price to have a smog test at this location costs about $59.95.. So in my eyes-- I found a JOOG deal! $19.99 INSTEAD!?! **down street call ALTADENA smog D WAS I MISCONSTRUED!!! The total price after all was said and done totaled over $48. Now I know that's still a better deal than paying $29 for the smog test... BUT PLS--- (((DO NOT DISTORT OR MISCONCEIVE THE TRUE COSTS OF YOUR SERVICES)) especially through YELP!! that's just plain WRONG.
