It has been over a year since they installed my HIDs so this review is long overdue. Shaw was extremely professional in coming over to my residence and explaining the entire process. During the installation, he had some difficulties due to my vehicle being a newer model so he had to upgrade some equipment - and he did this at no additional cost than what was initially quoted. I have a Dodge Challenger SRT8 and it has Xenon headlights that are so difficult to change the bulbs I can't do it myself. When Vivid came to look at my headlight because it was out after just 2 years being replaced He was able to diagnose the problem and it was going to be a big job taking off the front bumper cover to take the headlight out. I didn't want to do it because I know it is not easy so I got the bulb and ignition wire to do it myself and then discovered I asked for the shorter wire and I was wrong . I had my car torn apart and needed the longer wire so I called and he had me come by to swap out the wire for me, I was borrowing my daughter's Jetta and I didn't have GPS connection and got lost, I was guided while on the phone by him and it was really nice to see they really care about their clients. I had my the headlights restored last May, I was quoted 110 via yelp and then once he got here to start the job he bumped it up to 160. My experience seemed more like a sales push from the 50% price adjustment to the hard push for upgrading my headlights to HID. I wouldn't recommend this business. read more

Can't recommend anyone higher than Shaw at Vivid Headlights. He took my '15 BMW 328 with the weak, yellow halogens and upgraded them to HID low beams and LED fogs. The difference is amazing, cutoff good (no blinding anyone), and he did it the proper safe way. What I mean is that he did not "code out" signals between the computer and the light, but rather added proper resistors on top of the existing wiring. This is great because it safer (coding out mission critical things like headlights is a liability for the owner of the vehicle), and if I ever need to revert back to original, he did not rip out any original wiring (simple to undue, if needed). Shaw is very ethical and trustworthy, not skimping on cheaper components- after original idea was deemed not optimal, he upgraded me to better components and kept my costs the same. Most headlight restoration places just buff the lens out... Yes, it may look good but it won't last, I learned this first hand, they were cloudy within a few months. Before moving to CA, I paid the money and had them cleaned, re-glazed and UV protected. It cost's more but we're going in 3 years and they still look great. We have a MBZ 2005 CLK320 and a MBZ 2006 E350 wagon that had very faded/cloudy and worn headlight lens. Shaw showed up on time and even texted he was on his way.
