On my continuous journey to try different matcha places, my bf and I decided to try Vivot. I've sampled a few of their drinks at past Yelp events but it was my first time at their storefront. Parking can be limited on the street and there is a paid parking lot. Just be aware of parking signs in the area. There is a good amount of seating inside but availability can be limited during busy times. There are two screens people can order from or if you have cash, you can order at the register. In addition to their drinks, there are some various food options such as muffins, spam musubis, and a breakfast burrito. We ordered a double matcha, matcha einspanner, and a breakfast burrito w bacon to share. The drinks were decent but I've had a better matcha einspanner elsewhere. We had to wait a bit until our burrito was heated or made. It was surprisingly pretty good!
Was walking around downtown Fullerton and decided to pop in after hearing so many incredible things about this place, especially from TikTok! I tried a matcha latte as a baseline drink so I could really taste the matcha, and it did not disappoint. It was incredibly packed, but honestly, well worth the wait. The matcha was high quality and had a great flavor, although it was a little less sweet than I personally prefer. Definitely want to come back and try a matcha flight next!
Had the strawberry matcha, this was actually so so good. I'd go out of my way for it! Parking is annoying, but lots of seating and good place to work/study.
You can tell this place really cares about every drink they make! Prices were super reasonable for such good quality drinks! This is the perfect study spot as well, good amount of seating with good food and drinks! I got the peach matcha with hojicha foam, perfect amount of sweet and not overpowering peach flavor in my matcha which I love so much!
Best matcha cloud ever!! The foam was creamy and thick and kind of salty. They asked for the sweet level and I said zero and it was kind of salty the foam. I order the coconut water matcha simply delicious
Vivot definitely had its moment on Tiktok, and I've heard many mixed reviews from friends who have gone themselves. First of all, one thing that I appreciated a lot about Vivot was the price. I've gotten tinier matchas for much higher costs, so I like that the pricing is appropriate. I also really loved that I could ask for extra shots for no additional cost. The baristas were so kind and let me know that I could ask for more adjustments if need be. As for the drinks themselves, my friend got the matcha americano and I really liked the taste and consistency of the matcha. I got the mango matcha, and I had to add another shot to taste the matcha. I felt like in the fruit drink, the matcha was more bitter and coarse. I was informed that the fruit matchas may have a different matcha shot consistency to make up for the flavoring, which would explain why I felt like there were taste differences between the two drinks. Overall, I thought the mango matcha was fine and I would like to try a different drink to see if the matcha taste and consistency is different if I choose a non-fruit drink!
Located off Commonwealth Ave in Fullerton. Street parking and lot in the back not sure how that whole lot works since it's shared with all the businesses and there are signs all over and a parking machine as well so I was a bit confused with that parking situation it fills up quick. I parked and hurried to this place got my drink and left since I'm not familiar with this area. The place is not big a few seating. I got the strawberry matcha it was good. The staff were nice and helpful the gal that helped me was awesome. Overall a cool spot I will come back if I'm near or in the area their matcha was good.
This place is a very cute place in the middle of DTF and they have a lot of options from flavored matches to milk teas and food as well. I decided to get the horchata matcha b/c it sounded rlly good and it didn't disappoint at all. It is by far my favorite bc I haven't seen anywhere else serve that kind of matcha. Service is fast and you'll be in and out less than 5 minutes.
We got the matcha cloud flight (comes with 4) with ube, banana, strawberry and sticky rice. The ube and banana were super flavorful but the strawberry didn't have as strong of a flavor. The sticky rice one was just normal matcha with pieces of sticky rice in it which I don't think I'd get again. They had a ton of other flavors I want to come back to try! Also got the egg sandwich and ube mochi brownie, both of which were so good! Bread was buttery and the egg salad was so flavorful. Ube mochi was flavorful and I liked the texture. I expected a chocolate brownie with ube but it's more like a nian gao (Chinese rice cake) texture and no brownie/chocolate in it. Forgot to take a photo of it but it was really good!
I was dying to try the matcha flight at Vivot, the concept is definitely very cool and interesting and I did love trying all the different flavors. TBH all the flavored matchas were a bit too sweet for my liking and you couldn't really taste the matcha itself much, I did like the strawberry and banana version the most and I would like to try their regular matcha drinks for comparison. The chicken pesto sandwich was a solid sandwich, it was yummy, would be a good lunch item 8/10. The cafe environment is nice and small, but has lots of seating, many people are working, the cafe is right on street in downtown Fullerton so free parking is a 2-3 minute walk. Service is okay, but not the fastest due to being crowded.
Great experience. Walked into their cute little cafe at 8pm, ordered my match on their counter kiosk with all the extras, used the restroom, and then came out to my blueberry match on the counter. They were quick, friendly, and were all smiles. Can't wait to try something else.
Vivot Craft seems like an ideal place for a study session. The space is large and open, with plenty of seating scattered throughout, making it easy to find a comfortable spot to settle in. The interior design is minimalist, giving the café a clean and relaxed atmosphere. Ordering is convenient with two self-service kiosks, and the menu is surprisingly extensive. In addition to food options, they offer a wide variety of drinks, including matcha, coffee, teas, and refreshing beverages, so there is something for almost everyone. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha and the Matcha Einspanner. While the drink sizes were generous, the flavor of the Strawberry Matcha was a bit disappointing. The strawberry flavor was very minimal, and the matcha itself was difficult to taste. My friend felt similarly about the Matcha Einspanner. That said, I am still willing to give this place another try. It may have just been an off day, or perhaps a different drink would be a better fit next time. Vivot Craft has a great atmosphere and plenty of space for studying or hanging out, though the drinks did not fully meet my expectations on this visit.
My friends and I wanted to try this place out because of all the hype it had for the matcha drinks on TT, and we did just that! Stepping in, the shop shows a very modern and chic design. It's clean and has a good amount of seating. The cafe is located near CSUF, so I'm sure students frequent the place to hangout, study, or grab a drink. The wait time was decent, and staff was friendly. You can also watch the matcha being whisked and poured at the pick up area. I ordered the og matcha latte. I honestly thought it was decent. Nothing super amazing. I'd probably try a different drink if I decide to go back there.
This place was really packed. The line went past two businesses next to them. It took a little over an hour to order then waited about 15mins to get our 2 drinks and ham and cheese croissant sandwich. The ambiance was very cute and was decorated like a minimalist. Very clean inside. I did like inside because it was inviting and i wanted to stay but no seats were available. They had a DJ playing good music so it helped pass the time while we waited and it wasnt too loud. We went there to try their flight of matcha with cloud foam, but they ran out of the foam for flights. You could get cloud foam on a single drink though. We tried matcha latte with guava flavor, original matcha with ube flavored cloud foam. The matcha was smooth!! It didn't leave a powdery texture in your mouth. I got the matcha einspanner and I was really trying to taste the matcha, but I was unsure what was going on with the flavors as soon as I took the first sip - almost a bit like matcha medicine I've been using Rocky's matcha so I'm not sure if that changed my tastebuds but the matcha einspanner was just - not good. If you're local, maybe you can try it out? They are friendly. Nice that they are open until pretty late, but I don't think I'll make the drive again from Long Beach to Fullerton read more
I am so disappointed I have gone here so many times since they first opened and I can tell the quality is going down hill probably because they're going viral rn. I remember the strawberry matcha was like the best thing ever and now it's not really good. I can tell they changed something in the strawberry and there's no option for bold anymore. I go to vivot a lot and I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt but yeah it's not as good anymore maybe i'll try something else and not their strawberry:( read more

Super overrated. Came on a Sunday afternoon and there was a line out of the cafe and on the sidewalk. Very crowded and unorganized inside. No plugs and REALLY loud in there so not good for studying. Only one restroom available too. Matcha flight prices went up from what I've seen on yelp to $18.99. My drink was $9. I appreciate that the alternative milk isn't extra but the cloud foam is $1.50. I got the tiramisu and clearly said FOAM. But all I got was bits of chocolate/coffee beans. I would not pay $1.50 for tiny pieces of chocolate or coffee. I was so confused and said I ordered foam and thankfully the girl was nice enough to put it. The matcha was pretty average. Good but can get any other matcha cafe. read more
I woke up early one morning to skip traffic and drive 40ish miles to visit this place that was sooo intriguing to me on Instagram. I had my really good friend send it to me and unfortunately I got too excited and went without her lol Because I arrived semi-early, I'd say street parking wasn't an issue. There were a couple spots out front. Not certain if there's a lot around as I'm not familiar with the area. It's in downtown Fullerton so there's plenty of other businesses around :) The inside is bigger than I anticipated! Plenty of seating with scattered bar area, 4 tops, 2 tops. If you continue to walk towards the back of the store, there's a small additional seating area (not sure if it's for customers or staff?) and a customer restroom for use as well, which really came in handy for me since I had a lengthy drive! As you're waiting in line, you can watch the staff prepare the drinks. Once you reach the order counter, you use a tablet to order and pay. It's extremely easy! Here is what I ordered -- * Cream cloud matcha flight with the following flavors: Pandan, ube, banana, original salted vanilla -- I was bummed that they didn't offer the matchamisu cream cloud. Instead, I ordered the banana. * matcha mochi donut * ham and cheese croissant (not pictured) My thoughts? 4/5 for the matcha flight. Overall, the presentation and quality was superb. I requested in my order notes to have the matcha lattes unsweetened since I knew the cream cloud was premade and would contain sugar already. I think it was perfect the way I ordered, if you're into a more earthy matcha. I was warned in the other Yelp reviews that the wait time would be long.. and indeed it was. I'd confirm it's roughly 15-25 mins depending on the crowd, for both your food and drink(s). I thoroughly enjoyed all of the cream cloud flavors besides the banana. I REALLY wanted to like it, but it just wasn't for me. It tasted artificial - kind of like the banana flavored laffy taffy. Just not my jam and that's ok! I saved it for last lol. I have to say the Pandan or original salted vanilla were my favorite. It just paired so nicely! Dynamic duo. The ube wasn't bad at all! I just wish it had a stronger flavor. But as you can see in the pic, the color is vibrant. Matcha Mochi donut was 3/5. The matcha flavor was there but the mochi texture wasn't as fresh or as great as some other shops I've tried. It was as soft or chewy as I'm used to. In addition, they had forgot to give me my donut after waiting a half hour, but the staff was so kind and gave me 2 for the trouble. I'd like to try it again but maybe in a different flavor, like strawberry! Ham and cheese croissant wasn't anything special. 2/5. By the time I got my name called, it was already getting cold. I was super hungry though from the drive and needed something to balance the sugar and caffeine so it had to suffice. All in all, I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves matcha, an aesthetic cafe, and the iconic cream tops that speciality shops are known for. If I lived closer, I would definitely consider visiting weekly. Now that I've tried the flight, I know what flavors I like and would order the regular size drink version. veryy tasty drinks here!! my favorite is the pandan matcha. it's flavorful, refreshing and feels light. ive tried many drinks here and they all come out pretty good. the wait can vary from a few minutes to 30 minutes in the line. the place is pretty small and can get packed quickly. there's only one kiosk and there's many customizations. overall, a great matcha place and i definitely recommend!! read more

The matcha here is genuinely amazing, no complaints there. But my dad ordered the jasmine tea at 50% sweetness and it was absolutely undrinkable. We're talking bitter beyond belief like black coffee, but somehow worse. He couldn't drink it. For a place that clearly knows what they're doing with matcha, it's surprising how off the mark the jasmine tea was. Again, their matcha is great but that seems like the only option I would choose. read more

We were super excited to try Vivot cafe after seeing it countless times over social media. However, we felt like after trying it there wasn't anything special to it. I ordered a mango matcha at the register but when I tried my drink, it tasted more like banana so I think they made me the wrong drink. Regardless, I didn't really mind. The matcha is simply okay, and the flavor of the drinks (banana/blueberry in this case) alongside the milk kind of overpower the matcha. read more
I came here with friends for 'dessert' after an unsatisfactory dinner at the Anaheim Packing District on Friday night. Although dinner was a disappointment that left something to be desired, the matcha more than made up for it. I watched as one of the baristas mixed the matcha in measuring beakers, and it was as if I were in a matcha lab. I decided to get my default: a strawberry matcha latte. I opted for coconut milk and added boba. The ceremonial grade matcha was rich without any bitterness, and the drink overall was well balanced with every sip just the right amount of sweet and smooth. Also, the portion was HUGE! Definitely a good value. My friends really liked the fruity matcha flight they got. One friend's favourite was the blueberry lavender matcha, while the other preferred the lighter lychee matcha. It was nice that the flight offered something for each of their taste profile preferences. We stayed until pretty late here on and never felt rushed. I used to live in Orange County, and most things closed around 8 or 9 PM, so it's nice to come back and have the option to stay out late at a sober third space. read more

Stopped by with some friends on a Friday evening. We came at a good time because it wasn't very packed. The inside is cute and there is a lot of seating, BUT the place does get crowded. Our drinks were out at a normal speed. I got a strawberry matcha and it was tasty, not too milky. My friends also liked their drinks and had no complaints. Food - I think I ordered the einspanner but I got the hojicha latte (which honestly could've just been a resultant of my lack of due diligence so I won't blame the cafe for this) so I'm reviewing something that I wasn't exactly looking for which may impair my judgement. It has a thick layer of cream/foam on the top which was really nice and honestly had a good balance of creaminess throughout the entire drink and wasn't too sweet. It's topped with cinnamon I think which gives it a nice finishing touch and adds subtle flavoring to it. My friend ordered the banana matcha which tbh was quite mid. It was fairly watery and the banana flavor wasn't as prevalent through the drink as you'd expect it to be. Definitely have had better banana matchas and wasn't impressed. The egg sando had a creamy and light texture but was also quite filling. It included a soft boiled egg with a jammy center and was a nice touch to the sandwich. The bread was pillowy and softer towards the middle however the crust and outer portion of the bread were kind of hard. It wasn't unbearable by any means but it was definitely noticeable. The thing about milk bread is that when it is slightly chilled or refrigerated, the moisture in the bread can redistribute unevenly which may have been the culprit in this scenario. However overall it wasn't bad and I would consider ordering it again. Nothing I had at this cafe necessarily spoke out to me as jaw dropping or warranting the vitality of the cafe, but I do have to disclaim I didn't order the matcha flights since they sold out which is what they're known for. So I may have to revisit and reevaluate this place after trying the flights, but the items I had were mediocre/slightly good. Service - service was great, it was quick and the server answered some questions I had which was helpful. Ambiance - unlike typical restaurants, ambiance plays a larger role in evaluating cafes as a lot of people tend to stay longer in cafes to complete work or to simply enjoy the ambiance. It has a unique interior and is aesthetically pleasing. Definitely scratched the interior designer portion of my brain the right way. It is a bit cramped though, which is just by nature a consequence of having a cafe in downtown Fullerton. There was also a live DJ which I wasn't expecting but that was pretty sick, definitely added to the uniqueness of the environment. The only caveat I have to say is that there's this grout type thing filled with pebbles right in front of the iPad you place your order on which is pretty annoying to have to stand on. Overall, it was definitely worth the experience but if I'm going to come back it definitely has to be to try the matcha flights. read more

I didn't get a chance to try their drinks on an event so decided to go to the cafe itself. At first I couldn't find it, but when I did, there was plenty of parking out front since I went in the morning. When I walk in I noticed how spacious it was and you can literally watch the employees making the drinks, it was an open space. I was able to try a few drinks that I was excited about and croffle, which lately is my favorite dessert. For drinks I wanted to try the Himalayan Oolong milk tea, that was the one I missed out on, Banana matcha since lately I've been making banana bread, and a simple White Chocolate Latte. I got condensed milk and nutella croffle for dessert. Sadly I wanted to try their egg sandwich for my breakfast treat but they didn't have it. First off, favorite drink was the Himalayan! It was so yummy, I finished the whole thing before I even got home. The other drinks were good too and would recommend, but Himalayan was my fave. The croffles were perfectly done and right out of the oven so I devoured that at the cafe for sure. Angelo and Melissa were helping me and both were super nice. Came here to try the matcha flight and got the Cream Cloud Matcha Flight (Matchamisu, corn, pandan, ube) and the matcha einspanner with 50% sweetness. The place was pretty busy on that Friday afternoon, so it was difficult to find seating. However, we got our drinks pretty fast. Matcha flight tasted decent, but I only really liked the pandan and ube flavors. I couldn't really tell which was the corn and matchamisu, since neither had a distinct flavor to it that stood out. I really liked the matcha einspanner with 50% sweetness. The matcha taste was pretty intense and wasn't overshadowed by the milk at all. I just wish the drinks weren't so expensive as the einspanner cost $8.25, although I understand the pricing as matcha can get quite expensive for higher quality brands. The atmosphere of the cafe was decent, although the tables and floor were a little dirty probably due to it being so busy. The staff were kind and friendly and provided excellent service. Cute cafe to visit, but be wary of pricing and how busy the place can get. read more

Came for the matcha flight and was excited to see them offering it again! Each cup had about 1 small cup of matcha each, so portion was pretty large even for 2 people. The matcha itself was okay, and the sandwich was very bready with not much filling. There are plenty of seats but most were full and people were struggling to find seats. My daughter is a big matcha fan and absolutely loved her drink here! I'm not usually into matcha myself, so I decided to try their cold brew with banana cold foam instead and wow, it was amazing! Smooth, refreshing, and the banana foam added the perfect touch of sweetness. The vibe was great too. We'll definitely be coming back for more! read more

I am not from the area so I was just googling matcha near me and VIVOT popped up. Took a leap of faith and ordered the OG MATCHA with banana cream cloud and regular sweetness level along with a matcha doughnut. It was really great and tasty. I am not leaving the area and ordered a OG MATCHA with strawberry cream cloud and the egg sando. The strawberry cloud tastes artificial but I like it a lot. The egg sando was tasty and a perfect t snack before heading home. Can't wait to come back when I visit Fullerton again. read more

not worth the hype in my opinion. I've been twice and both times they had all baristas making drinks and customers using their kiosk to order drinks and it took over 20 minutes for me to place my order. It was a little glitchy to use and definitely slowed everything down. the matcha was fine, but not great. We tried the cloud matcha flight and an iced matcha latte... all of the drinks were very oat milk-y and the cloud matcha lattes were soooo sweet. I did really enjoy their cream cloud flavors, especially the OG (salted vanilla cream, yum!!) and ube, but I felt like it significantly took away from the matcha flavor. the cafe itself was super cute and had lots of space/tables, but it was very busy and we had a hard time snagging a table! Ordered a strawberry matcha and absolutely LOVED it! Brayden recommended me to get it 50% sweet, which was perfect! Workers are all super nice too! Great studying environment and super clean! Drinks came out so fast and was delicious! read more

My friend and I were expecting the matcha flights. However, they stopped severing it back in September. So, my friend I order the peach matcha, 25% sweet with oat milk and pandan matcha, 70% sweet with pandan cream and oat milk. Peach was good along with the airmona of peach. However, the pandan was wayy to sweet and I ended up tossing it away. So, I decided to try the hojicha latte with 2-3 shots of matcha, 70% sweet, coconut cream and oat milk which just mainly tasted the hojicha. Lastly, I had to flag 2 workers to have them refill the water and their water container broke as they were about to refill. Overall, there has been the lack of matcha for all the drinks (tastes like Amazon quality), over priced and we ended up elsewhere for better quality. read more

Would give 3.5 star if I could. But the sole reason was for the service. The girl at the register was not the friendliest nor inviting. In fact, just the opposite. Sitting down behind the counter and doing the register acting like she's doing us is a favor by taking our order. Please. If the food and matcha weren't good we would probably skip this place. Hard to believe with the other reviews saying excellent service. With that being said we ordered the chicken pesto and the cloud foam matcha flight. The sandwich was solid and the matcha flight was nothing too special but good. Not much liquid but it is a flight and kind of cool to choose the different flavors. The only recommendation here would be to do the fruit puree vs cloud foam but I guess more so of a reason to revisit. Has quite a lot of seating for people to sit and share stories. read more

This is our second experience here. We ordered the blueberry matcha einspanner and rose oolong milk tea last time and didn't enjoy it. The blueberry was artificial and rose oolong unmemorable. This time we tried the strawberry matcha and Himalayan oolong, both with oat milk and boba. Tea flavors were great, but the boba was gummy and disappointing. Hopefully that was due to it being later at night and not the norm. Street parking is challenging, YMMV. Pro-tip: Menu prices are reflect a 4% cash discount, otherwise order via the kiosk and pay a convenience fee. Their einspanner is made with diary only; matcha flight and food items are not available after 9pm. If you want no-ice, leave a note in the comments, it's not something you can select. read more

Okay... I don't usually order something so plain but I figured I would try something healthy. I ordered pink coconut water and tell me why it was the most delicious drink ever!! Thank you so much to the kind Asian lady for recommending the drink to me! I ended up getting cold foam on the side to put on top and it was the best thing ever. Inside it's super clean and IF YOU DONT HAVE AN OUTLET THEY GIVE YOU A PORTABLE BATTERY (in exchange for your ID--just until ur done using it)!
