Plus she was able to secure a rental car at the last minute due to friendly relations with Enterprise car rental. I needed body work on my Genesis g90. Contacted HOA NGO of VM Auto Body to see if they would do the work. NGO said they would need pictures of the damage. I sent him the pictures... no response. Texted him to determine whether or not VM would be able to do the work. NGO told me they would need my VIN. I sent him the VIN... again, no response. Texted again, next day he sent text saying he never got the VIN (?). Resent the VIN... again no response. Retexted VM again. NGO replied saying "Gimme a second". 24 hours later I still haven't heard back from VM. Texted again... now NGO says they have to see the car in person. Obviously VM does not want the work and for whatever reason think it's ok to jerk people around. I wasted 3 days trying to get a reasonable response from these people. My recommendation is to try ANYONE ELSE. No matter how bad they are, they'll be better than these guys. Stay far away! read more

My bumper got hit in a garage around the holidays. Given the scratches plus a couple of other scratches that had come over time, I decided to look into getting the bumper repaired. VM Auto Body succeeded where others have failed. The team went beyond what could have been expected during the 4th of July weekend. While moving my son to an apartment in Alexandria. On the 5th floor of the parking garage, the trailer jumped off the hitch and the receiver became mangled. This happened at noon on Saturday, July 3rd. We were in panic, as I needed to be back to work at Yorktown, VA on Tuesday, July 6th. My wife and I tried calling any place that could repair our trailer. Very few places were open and most could not help us until Monday. Since we had USAA towing, we were not worried about getting the trailer out of the parking garage. We were wrong. Our insurance, USAA, coordinated for a towing company but then the towing company called and said they could not tow the trailer due to the limited clearance of 6'8". In the meantime, my wife found VM Auto Body open and Kimberly, the Service Manager, said they could help. Kimberly and the owner, Vihelmo, decided to come see the trailer to assess the problem. This happen after the shop closed at 3pm. This was above and beyond anything we could have expected. My wife said they were angels to help us. Vihelmo's assessment was that the mangled receiver could not safely be repaired--the receiver had to be replaced. After explain our towing dilemma, Kimberly coordinated for Peter from Phoenix Towing & Recovery to come out the next day. The next day Peter arrived with a positive attitude and excited about the challenge to get our trailer out of the garage. This occurred on Sunday, the 4th of July. Peter assured us that he would not abandon the effort and that our trailer was going to get moved so it could be repaired. Additionally, working with Peter ensured our options for moving the trailer were heard and applied a successful solution. It is great to have an issue discussed, coordinated, and resolved. True to his word, we got it out of the garage and towed to VM Auto Body. At noon, to make room for the trailer, Vihelmo met us at the shop. I was shocked and impressed with the owner coming out on Sunday, July 4th to help us. Most companies would not even answer the phone let alone the owner coming out on a national holiday. The entire team, Vihelmo, Kimberly, and Peter, truly cared and wanted to help our family. I was able to get the new receiver at Harbor Freight so they could start working on the repair first thing on Monday morning. My wife was a wreak worrying that the trailer could not get fixed in time before going home. With extreme relief, Kimberly called at 1100 am on Monday morning to say it was fixed and ready for pick up. I could not believe how quickly it was repaired. Many thanks for the professional welding job done by Kevin and Antonio. In addition they undercoated the receiver to prevent any future rust issues. This was above and beyond our expectation. It is refreshing to meet such a friendly, customer orientated, and courteous representatives in today's busy world. The team's friendly persona, great sense of urgency, and knowledge of their craft is extremely refreshing. Key to our experience was Peter and Vihelmo's confident and honest opinions for getting our trailer fixed. In particular, Peter's honesty and pride in workmanship in doing the job correctly and professionally was exemplary. This was paramount for having the job done right the first time. The team's detailed approach and confidence resulted in getting us home. My wife and I truly appreciate getting this issue resolved. I requested a quote for body work through YELP on my 2018 Honda Accord after getting an unsuprisingly outrageous quote from my Honda Dealer (Chantilly, VA). VM Autobody (Alexandria, VA) was the first to respond and was able to take me for a next day, early morning quote. They gave me a very reasonable quote for a bumper replacement, more than 50% less than the dealership quote. The backup sensor had also popped inside the bumper. They told me they'd try to avoid replacing it if possible, which ended up being the case. Moreover, they picked up the car from my home and arranged to hang onto my car for several extra days when I was unable to pick it up after the repair had completed. Plus, they not only washed the car--they detailed the inside. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to get such good service.
