I was introduced to this company by USAA, after waiting for 17 hours for a variety of other DMV towing companies to show up (yes, 17 hours!!!). The other companies promised timeframes, but didn't show up, and they didn't answer their phones (and they certainly didn't call). Once DMV towing received the job from my insurance, they called me, gave me a timeframe, gave me updates, and were faster than expected. Ray (the driver who helped me) was so professional, mindful, and personable... which is likely a challenge for these guys who deal with people in bad moods in the worst of circumstances all the time. I'm telling you, in a business that is seemingly filled with a lack of customer service , these guys MADE MY MONTH. I'm not ashamed to say I hugged Ray when he finished dropping off my car. These guys were great! Totally saved the day, and probably my job. I work in a relatively high security government building, and the garage attached is pretty small, so cars are just crammed in wherever they can fit. Anyone blocking someone else just leaves their keys on the dash for the garage security folk to move the cars around when someone needs to get out. Well, it was bound to happen to me one day. I finally locked my keys in the car, while blocking about 4 other cars.There were a lot of visitors that day due to a big conference happening, and I completely panicked. Against all better judgment, I pinned my hopes on my insurance company to send someone out through roadside assistance ASAP, or at least before the conference let out and I would be dealing with a bunch of angry G-men. Of course, my auto insurance screwed up and ended up cancelling my assistance request somehow, which caused another hour delay. After being on the phone (mostly on hold) for a total of about an hour and a half, I finally got a text from DMV Towing & Roadside, letting me know that they'd be there in TEN MINUTES. It was approaching lunch time, and things were looking dire, so I was pretty relieved. Ten minutes later, they arrived, security got us all in the garage, and it took them maybe 10 minutes to break in, and voila! I was saved. The guys were professional and efficient, and overall, I was really impressed. I will probably be leaving a less than satisfied review for my insurance company's roadside assistance program, but I am so glad DMV Towing & Roadside was there. A plus, plus... plus service. While waiting for a tow to Audi Arlington (crappy dealership BTW) DMV towing communicated every step of the way. Everyone was friendly and understanding. I had to leave the car to make it to the dealership before closing, but the tow truck driver made sure my whip (that's what the kids call cars these days) arrived save and sound. I needed a tow from the DCA economy lot to the dealership to get it re-keyed while I was still out of town. I was on 66 when one of my wheels caught a nail and I didn't have a jack, I looked up towing services and DMV towing was of the five that I called and came out to be the least expensive and was able to have a driver to my location within 30 mins, and I was back in my car within 10 mins. Great towing service! I needed a long distance tow at 3am from Wisconsin Ave. Dc all the way to Gainesville Va and it was no problem! Very professional,the driver explained every step to to me of what his was gonna do to hook up my car which is very reassuring to me (I drive a 2017 Dodge Charger Hellcat) as my vehicle is very precious to me. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST TOWING COMPANY EVER! STAY AWAY!! they came out to change my flat on my Mercedes and didn't use the correct donut bolts in the spare kit. Instead they used a power torch to tighten the long bolts from my regular tire, stripped my wheel hub. When I called them to tell them about this costly repair their solution was to tow it to Maryland and re-thread the wheel hub. I talked to three mechanics that said this was an UNSAFE fix! I was stranded in DC, had to take a cab to a hotel, then a cab back to Midas, and they refused to reimburse me ONE SINGLE PENNY! They owe me $1100! Could not have asked for a more positive experience. Had a flat tire and needed to tow to the dealership. Called DMV Roadside, they made everything a breeze. Spoke with an employee who was upfront with the cost, and even allowed me to add tip to the amount ahead of time. Gave him the ETA of when I'd be at my car, and the tow truck arrived within 15 minutes. The driver was very friendly and had great customer service; I even needed to charge my cell phone and he allowed me to use his charger. Within less than 20 minutes, we were up and rolling to the dealership. When we arrived, the driver checked in with the shop, and stayed to ensure I was good to go. Friendly and prompt service; really couldn't have asked for more when in a bind. read more

Awesome job unlocking our VW Passat today...lifesavers!! Called them up, gave my location, paid $95 with credit card over the phone, and a nice guy came out with a rubber wedge and a long thick wire about 20 mins later. He just slid the wedge between the front and back doors, which opened the door enough to slide the wire inside the front door and press the unlock button. Took him literally 5 mins from arrival to paperwork done. There are no signs of force on the door or damage to the car whatsoever. When i called they answered immediately, and I only had to wait about 20 mins for him to arrive, on a midday Saturday!! While I was uncomfortable giving my credit card info over the phone, this was exactly the service I was hoping for! Thanks! read more

Incredible experience with these guys. Broke down in the middle of of a street in central DC and had Adrian pull up minutes after and asked if I needed help. He was off the clock but even after he found out that my car was not compatible with his towing method he proceeded to help me out. Adrian went so far as pushing my car out of the street into a parking spot until a tow truck that was able to tow my car arrived. A very kind and knowledgeable man, when needed most. My car stalled on me in the middle of the road. I could not get a hold of my own insurance company road side assistance so I called a random number online (because it was readily available). In no time, Omar came for help. He did everything in the kindest and most peofessional way. I did not have to worry about a single thing literally. He also went above and beyond by not only towing the car but also checking what is the problem and how we can fix it. I had gotten a flat tire on GW parkway with no spare headed out of dc on my way to baltimore. Dispatch directed a driver to tow us. once the driver arrived (within 30ish minutes in rush hour), I had asked the driver to take me to a dealership to get a tire and he let me know of a tire shop on the edge of dc that had our tire size in stock (the dealership needed to order one). The tire shop ended up saving us money compared to what the dealership wanted and i was back on the road within less than 30 minutes of getting to the shop. Not only do they provide great service but have local knowledgeable drivers for the area that they serve. read more

This is the WORST tow company you can find and likely fraudsters. They accepted the tow job from my insurance (USAA) Roadside Assistance at 8:45 pm and texted "Mo" would be there by 9:17pm. I called the company and said I'd leave the key under the mat because I had dogs with me. They said no problem. At 10:45 "Mo" calls and says he cannot find my car in the parking lot. No cars in the parking lot he claims. I ask him to wait and I will come over but he says no. I go over and there's the car...right where I left it. A red car. I call him and he says..."oh I thought is was a white car." USAA and his dispatcher both say they have red car in their record. So I ask him to come back but "he's on another job." So I check with his dispatcher and they say he's just getting dinner and will come back. He never shows up. It's like 1:00 am now. I used another phone to call him so he would not know it's me and he's home in bed (his words, not mine). Never bothered to let me know. AVOID this company!! read more
