I love Vocellis Pizza and I can't get it delivered where I currently live :(. But when I'm at work on the weekends, I can! I think one of my favorite parts about Vocelli's is that they offer the "Lunch" Specials even throughout the weekend! So the website itself needs work. You can't find all the local coupons and you can't even apply the coupons once you have them, on some items. I was unable to place an online order via vocellis.com for a lunch special. But I called the 1-800 number and it was answered by a live, human! She said that she could place my order with the local store and apply the coupon from her end. It took about 28 minutes for me to get the food from a 1 mile to 1.5 miles away. The driver called 3-5 minutes out to ask which entrance to meet him at. I walked outside and the drive called again to tell me he was outside (He wasn't quiet, lol but he was close). Overall, this was a great experience with Vocelli's, I am a Fan! They said we are not associated with slice we don't even know if we had your order and no delivery driver had a "memory" of brining it to the address. Walking in, I was impressed by the clean, well lit building. I ordered Chicken Alfredo with penne pasta. Original cost was $13 and some change but they gave me a discount because I work in the same shopping area. When my delivery arrived I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo! My first impression looking at it was that there was enough portions for me to eat twice which is awesome considering the the price. The sauce was definitely creamy but I felt that it could've been a bit thicker, it was a little thin. There was plenty of chicken, they did not hold back! The pasta noodles were perfect, not too hard not too soft. I do wonder about the quality of the chicken. Was it cooked that moment, earlier that day or was it frozen/precooked.. The Garlic bread was epic! Two nice toasted buttery sized pieces.. Overall I enjoyed the meal. I suspect there pizza is better so that would be my order next time I stop by. My office caters in Vocelli's for lunch pretty often, and I have to say, out of all the local places, this is THE BEST pizza around! It just tastes so fresh and clean and anything but ordinary. While puffy-crust pizza is not usually my preferred style of pizza, Vocelli certainly made it work the order. They have great priced specials that I took advantage of (a medium 1-topping pizza for $9), and my pizza was ready for pickup very quickly. The tomato sauce was tangy but not overpowering, but I would have liked just a little more cheese on my pizza. Mushrooms topped my pizza and I was pleased to see that these were probably fresh, definitely not canned and placed on top, like many other pizza parlors I've been to. I ordered my pizza for pickup and it was ready within 15 minutes, which I think is a pretty decent turnaround from when I called the order in. You know those little soaps they give you in hotel rooms? The pepperoni at Vocelli Pizza is made by the same company. Why are the pepperoni slices here so teeny tiny?!? I've never seen such a thing on a pizza! And they are all so spread out! Why in god's name are they so stingy with their toppings? As I was eating, one of the loosely secured sausage pieces went tumbling to the floor, and it was so horrifying to me that it happened in slow motion. There were so few of them on the pizza that it was very emotional for me to part with it. I considered picking it up from the carpet, giving it a good shake, and popping it in my mouth, but cooler heads prevailed. It was so dramatic! Just give me some more sausage next time and this can all be avoided! But seriously, I ordered a large pizza for delivery here, and it was pretty disappointing. It has that familiar cheap mozzarella, wimpy topping portions, and overall it kind of reminded me of Domino's. Got the meatball sub. Hardly taste any meatball at all. The pic they have of the meatballs was a whole round meatball. My sub looked nothing like it. They sliced the meatball (less than 2 meat ball) for the whole sub. If I could could write a comment without rating them I would. My friend lives within 5 miles of 3 different Vocelli's all of which who directed us to the Vienna location we called and ordered a pizza with no problem. They then called back 30 minutes later to confirm the address, which we did. We the waited and waited AND WAITED for an hour and half. Still nothing. I then proceeded to call them back and they told me that we have them the wrong address and that we were out of range. Basically it's been over 2 hours and still nothing has arrived. We had ordered a few of their artisan pizzas over the years (by delivery) and they were decent. So, tonight we decided to order carryout with their Monday/Tuesday night coupon. The toppings were sparse and the pizza itself was so incredibly overcooked that our dog wouldn't even touch it! The crust was brown and had absolutely no flexibility/texture remaining. It was not ready when we arrived so perhaps they left it in the oven too long(?). Under different circumstances I would have tried to resolve the issue with them although it was so difficult to communicate with them at pick up that it seemed unlikely any resolution could be reached. Let me put it this way. I'd give it more stars if the website didn't try to sell this pizza as having "italian quality" and having been "crafted from a family recipe." If they'd been honest and called it "Food. When you're starving, you probably won't notice the terrible texture and rubbery cheese," I probably would have doled out another star. But I also probably would have realized I shouldn't order from them in the first place. Alternatively, I'd give less stars if the pizza was made incorrectly or had been late. But, technically, they did everything to qualify as having done the minimum to technically call it "delivery pizza." There was cheese. There was sauce. There was crust. It came on time. The basics were pretty much covered. However, it was really poor quality. And somehow we have made the mistake of getting pizza from this restaurant twice now. I'm not sure how. We're pretty sure at least the second time we got their pizza, the crust had been pre-made. It, at least, had that sort of texture - it reminded me very closely of Trader Joe's frozen pizza. I wish I could get back the minutes I spent chewing on it. I'm really sorry to bash a business started by someone who immigrated here from Turkey and started as a dishwasher in a restaurant, but HONESTLY. It's so sad when it could be so much better! This place is nothing compared to Flippin' Pizza or Pazzo Pomodoro (although PP doesn't deliver). We always try different pizza places but of all the places that deliver in the area Vocelli's wins for its quality and consistency.
