Flavor flavor flavor!! Here you will find the most diverse ingredients and range of textures, authenticity, spice omg! Our service was fast, the decor was beautiful, but the food is what set the bar. Crazy menu but literally no other place is making food like this. Can't wait to come back and try every dish. I wish I could eat that meal 100 times over. Chef made a special side of extra spicy pico de gallo that needs to be on the menu. Mouth watering, plate licking GOOD!!

Was very excited to try this place and was even more happy to hear that they could easily take on our group of 15. The service was great and the food was delicious. I struggled figuring out what I wanted to eat as there were a lot of great options but I finally decided to go with the sushi which had such a different and great flavor. I also had a sangria and it was the best glass I have had in the states (second to sangria I have had in Barcelona). Great flavors, great atmosphere- highly recommend.

Everything was good! The margarita was one of the best I've had in this area - so good that I had 2! The owner was visible and came over to say hi. Service was phenomenal. What surprised me though, was how nice it is inside! There are no remnants of it ever being a Ruby Tuesday's! It's big, yet intimate. They did a great job! The bar is beautiful.

We were in town for a wedding and made a same-day reservation online. Walked right in and were seated immediately. The vibe is chic, colorful, and upbeat--perfect whether you're dressed up or keeping it casual. It's also kid-friendly, which is a plus. Our server, Bella, was fantastic--patient, knowledgeable, and attentive. The bartender was clearly skilled; my drink was perfectly balanced. I also loved that we each received our own cocktail menu (sharing menus is such a pet peeve of mine!). My husband ordered the Vochos Old Fashioned, and I had the Mexican 701. Both were beautifully presented and spot-on in flavor. We started with the calamari, served in a flavorful sauce with a side of cilantro rice. It was tender, not overcooked, and paired well with the rice. For mains, we ordered the Tuna Avocado Tataki and the Pulpo La Condesa. Both dishes were fresh, vibrant, and delicious, though the pulpo portion felt a little small. Overall, this place was a hit for us. If we lived here, it would definitely be a regular spot. We'll be back next time we're in town!

Nice inside, pricey menu, decent service, some fantastic food & some OK food. Excellent environment for a company or group dinner, big price tag though! Great urban alternative to Ruths or similar. All in all our meal was quite nice, just hubby and I. Service was OK, a few times our server was very obviously engaged in conversation with some of her other tables and was a little delayed in checking on us. For an average $30 plate restaurant we typically expect higher quality of service; they are 'good' but not 'great'. Hubby had Chamorro Pibil ($32; slow cooked pork shank) and it was absolutely divine. I almost wished I had ordered it for myself! I ordered the salmon and it was extremely odd when I asked for medium rare that they said "they don't cook to temp with the salmon" (huh???). I was extremely worried that the salmon would come out dry and overcooked. It was good, definitely cooked fully medium, which at $32 was quite disappointing. The only thing that redeemed the dish was the peach habanero glaze, but when I pay $32 for a beautiful piece of salmon I don't particularly want to "have" to slather it in a condiment for it to taste good. Lastly, we ordered dessert - super disappointing here. The description says: "Choco Flan de Cafe: impossible espresso coffee cake / flan / cajeta / strawberries". See photo in review... What we received was completely different than expected. No "impossible espresso coffee cake" and no strawberries, just a huge chunk of flan that was basically like mildly chocolate flavored jello. We took the tiniest bite and then sent it back, and it felt like the manager gave us a bit of side eye. Server told us that they only have two desserts because people are typically so full. But if you're going to have two desserts you should have two AMAZING desserts! All in all it was a nice visit, I think next time we will order the dish that hubby got and split it. It's a nice environment, but there are other restaurants I would rather go to if I'm going to spend this much per plate.

Two girlfriends and I decided to try Vochos for a girls night dinner recently. We had heard good things about this new restaurant, and it lived up to the hype! We started with the fresas drink and the white sangria which were both tasty. For an appetizer, we had the pork belly bites with guac (so tasty and crispy!). I enjoyed the quesabirrias- possibly one of the best versions I've had- which comes with three tacos, beans, and broth for dipping. I also couldn't resist trying the rainbow roll, which is nothing like a traditional rainbow roll- it had hibiscus rice, mango, and shrimp tempura. It was super tasty and sweet. One friend had tacos, and the other had oysters and birria bao buns. Everything was delicious, and our server, Britney, was fantastic! Every team member that came to our table was friendly and so helpful with suggestions on food items and drinks. We had a great time, as did everyone we could see around us. Definitely an elevated Mexican dining experience, so not cheap, but worth the price!

Quesabirria tacos were tasty and full of meat

Great atmosphere but the food is the winner. We have been searching for a great high end Mexican place in this area and haven't been successful until now. Homemade tortillas, and flavors that please the taste buds. Best margarita we have had in a long time. The only disappointment for my husband was they don't have salsa. We will definitely be back and soon.

Wagyu burger with chorizo and fries. Hubby loved!

I went back a second time and they did not disappoint! Great staff. Beautiful atmosphere. 4-7 half off appetizers during the week!

Maracuya Tres Leches
Paige R.

Very pretty interior and cool bar. The bartender was wonderful - great service and super friendly. The food - okay. I can't really speak to their main entrees, tacos, or ceviche though. I ordered La Reforma Cesar with grilled chicken. I really just wanted something light after a long day in the sun. But I didn't like the salad much unfortunately. The chicken was decent and I ate most of it off the plate. But the lettuce was hot? Like the salad ended up wilting and being really difficult to eat. The dressing seemed more like a vinagrette. So I unfortunately only ate the chicken and a small amount of the lettuce. This was disappointing, especially considering the amazing salad I had a week ago at a different restaurant in the area. I then ordered the Maracuya Tres Leches, mostly because I love maracuya and it sounded good. Unfortunately, also disappointing. The presentation was lovely. But the passionfruit flavor was nonexistent. It seemed just like a normal tres leches, although some parts of it were a little dry.

Savanna S.

They give cornbread instead of chips and salsa, but it was delicious. It is pricey but you are getting quality, and the drinks are big! I would avoid getting the cauliflower but would highly recommend the tostadas and the quesabirria! I think the bar has a better atmosphere vs the window with a lot of car traffic. Also a better atmosphere in the evening

Ramen birria
Tony N.

Very nice upscalish restaurant, service was great! "Ramen" birria was very good, very generous of meat. Quesabirrias tacos were great, also generous with yummy consommé. Fresh guacamole and chips both could use some salt. Tres leches cake was wonderful as well, even though we did not get ice cream. We will be back!

While our first two experiences left us wondering what all the fuss was about, this latest dinner proved that sometimes good things really do come to those who wait (and keep making reservations). Our party of four settled in with high hopes and rumbling stomachs. Three of us couldn't resist the siren call of the crab cakes, while our fourth companion went rogue with the shrimp and grits. The crab cakes delivered everything you want from this coastal classic--generously packed with sweet crab meat and impossibly light, paired with creamy mashed potatoes that provided the perfect canvas. The shrimp and grits, while delicious, couldn't quite dethrone our reigning champion (Cape Fear Seafood still holds that crown), but they put up an admirable fight. The real showstoppers, however, were the appetizers. My half-dozen Sneads Ferry oysters arrived like little ocean jewels--impeccably fresh, properly briny, with just enough natural sweetness to make you close your eyes and sigh. The mussels swam in a sauce so good I considered asking for a straw, and the calamari managed that rare feat of being both smoky and completely free of any "low tide" funk that plagues lesser versions. Our Sauvignon Blanc proved the ideal supporting actor, crisp and bright enough to complement without competing. The service struck that sweet spot between professional and personable--attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious. The atmosphere isn't quite my cup of tea, but word on the street is they're relocating, so here's hoping the new digs will match the elevated kitchen performance. Sometimes the third time really is the charm. Catch has finally caught up to its reputation.

We had a large group and the server was very attentive to us. My soda cup was super super dirty which was gross. We ordered the Brussels and shrimp for the appetizer and those were PHENOMENAL. Shrimp were so flavorful and the Brussels were some of the best I've had. I got the swordfish as my main and it really wasn't hot. Kind of warm but not really as hot as it should have been. I thought the flavor was good but the portion was a little disappointing for the price. We got some coconut cake for dessert which was super tasty and moist. Mixed feelings but I'd give them another shot!

It's sort of Italian and sort of steak and sort of a little bit of everything. Really clean, strait forward , reasonable menu, nice ambience. It feels kind of high end but the pricing is definitely mid range. I selected the tomato basil soup as my appetizer. It came with a nice toasted crustini. It was a really good soup. It tasted fresh. It had a lot of body to it like, maybe they did the tomatoes here in the house from fresh. It was definitely tomato. The basil was kind in the background, but it was a true red sauce. It was almost tomato paste or tomato sauce flavor. I would've not complained if they given it to me over a bit of penne.. It had a really nice flavor on it not too sweet not too acidic really a very good soup. It came out in a footed coffee cup so you're getting about one cup of soup. The main course was the broiled seafood platter. It was anchored by a large piece of mahi-mahi, that was amazingly well prepared, firm and tasty. To the side of that was a wonderful crabcake, one of the best I've had anywhere and definitely the best in the Carolinas. It did not have too much breading and it had a wonderful texture with lots of good crab flavor. Drizzled across all of this were scallops and shrimp. The shrimp were a little overcooked if you asked me. The scallops were sweet and perfect and everything you would want them to be. The side that comes with this is their crab fries which essentially our beer battered french fries dusted with old bay seasoning. If you've ever had the crab fries at the Philadelphia, ballpark, this is the way they do it. For dessert, I ordered the lemon cello mascarpone cake. It comes drizzled with raspberry sauce. I had visions of lemon curd, and what I got was really good and really lemonade and good cake. But it's not a very big slice. I know about the weight staff. I don't know if they're all good, but mine was exceptional and lovely to talk with. The place was very busy. It had a nice vibe to it, it could've been in South Beach or Miami or Los Angeles, not that it was over over the top just that it was very clean and nice and well done. This is a professional restaurant not some amateur attempt. I recommend it.

When we've come with friends or larger groups, the service has been much more mediocre. The first time we visited, one of the waitresses was surprisingly rude when I asked about vegetarian options. All she said was "salad," despite there being multiple salads (2 out of the 3) on the menu, including a Caesar with anchovy and a wedge salad with bacon. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in and was much more helpful and respectful. I'm not sure why vegetarian requests are sometimes treated like an inconvenience or unusual concept. I'm married to a huge meat eater and enjoy going to places he likes, but I do wish vegetarian guests were met with a little more patience and understanding. Especially when I am the one paying the bill. The atmosphere is loud and busy, but they are generally accommodating. For larger parties, they require a credit card to hold the reservation and give a limited grace period, with a fee of around $15 per person for no-shows. I understand why restaurants have policies like this, but it felt a little unfair considering we still had to wait around 15-20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. If guests are expected to strictly follow time slots, I think the restaurant should also try to hold themselves to those same standards. It also took close to two hours for our food to come out, and we repeatedly had to ask for smaller things like water or hot sauce. I completely understand that larger parties can take longer, but we were a group of seven, which didn't seem unusually large. Overall, the food and atmosphere keep us coming back, but the consistency in service could definitely be improved.
