Fabulous!! Came here for my birthday dinner with the family and it was fantastic! First of all, the ambience is very posh and perfect for a celebration. It had just the right amount of lighting and I loved the upscale vibe. Secondly, service was really good. Our server Gil was very friendly. And did a great job making sure we had what we needed. Last, but certainly not least was the food. Everything was delicious! The shrimp tempura was literally cooked too perfection, the ginger salad had the freshest greens and they home make their ginger dressing. The two rolls I got were amazing and I really loved the yellow tail with the Trufle cream. There is a sizable amount of truffle sauce and it was literally delicious. Everything was so fresh. My daughter got the Wagyu roll and said it was amazing along with their miso soup and rice. My boyfriend got the 2 ounce Wagyu, which was cooked on hot rocks with beef tallow. The other really unique thing that came with one of the rolls was it had little glass noodles, at least that's what it tasted like in the center of the roll and it was such a nice touch. I want to see this place succeed because it was one of the best meals I've had in a really long time. I've also forgot to add that their lychee martini is on point. This place really blew me away and I can't wait to come back.

A true Hidden Gem, this sushi spot combines outdoor ambiance mixed with modern decor and deliciously fresh fish. It was quiet when we went on a Friday night which was great! The salmon carpaccio and Snow White roll were amazing, the fish is the freshest I've tasted in Atlanta. We normally dine at MF bar in the Avalon but this is our new favorite for the quality, vibe, and service. Their upstairs patio looks amazing for spring and summer, it overlooks the green space at the forum. Service was great - lots of places to walk around to after dinner too.

Stumbled onto Sei Ryu at the Forum in Norcross a few nights ago. Even though they're only a few weeks old, everything already feels top-notch. The atmosphere is sleek and welcoming - modern but comfortable - and you can tell the chef takes real pride in his craft. The sushi was exceptionally fresh and beautifully presented. Every plate looked like a work of art. The attention to detail really stood out. Each bite was balanced, delicate, and full of flavor. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It's rare to see a place hit its stride this quickly after opening, but it feels like Sei Ryu has already found its rhythm. I plan on going back to try more as the menu expands beyond the soft opening and they develop their drink menu. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area - a great new addition to the Forum and definitely worth a visit for sushi lovers.

I was really looking forward to trying the oysters, but I didn't realize their menu changes often so unfortunately, no oysters this time. A little sad about that! We decided to order pretty much everything off the à la carte menu. Overall, the food was just okay to me. The Brussels sprouts were the hardest to eat they were basically raw, just thinly sliced with sauce poured over. It would've been much better if they were at least steamed or grilled a bit. The mushrooms, though, were absolutely BOMB! If I didn't know what it was, I would've thought it was some sort of meat dish super soft, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The Wagyu, on the other hand, was a big disappointment. For the price, it was tough and chewy when it should've been buttery and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Overall, the place is cute and the vibes are nice, but the food was overpriced for what it was. I'd only come back for those mushrooms they were that good.

I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol

This trip was actually our first time visiting without him so we were a little lost about what to do next. LOL. We had gone to a cafe earlier in the day but it was still too early for dinner so we kept searching for something interesting to do. That's when my husband found Distillery of Modern Art. I wasn't really in the mood for drinking during the day so I wasn't sure at first but I'm so glad we went! We had never heard of a combination of a distillery and an art gallery before which immediately caught our attention. It looked like the space is used for a variety of events as well. Since we visited during Mother's Day weekend, there was a flower arrangement workshop happening in one of the rooms when we arrived. The bar area was very spacious with plenty of seating and since it was our first visit, we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the different liquors they produce. My husband sampled their rye whiskey, gin, and Amaro Peach. I'm usually not much of a gin fan but theirs was exceptionally smooth and I actually enjoyed it. Amaro tends to be quite bitter but their Amaro Peach had a really nice balance of bitterness and sweetness. I ordered the Ocean Eyes cocktail which features their Amaro Peach and it was excellent. The bartender also made his own special version of a classic cocktail for my husband (I forgot the name!) and he really enjoyed it. What stood out most was how friendly and passionate the bartender was. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does and honestly, he made the experience even more enjoyable for us. We had such a great visit that my husband ended up bringing home bottles of their gin and Amaro Peach. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Atlanta!

The other 2 drinks we had were ordered off menu after we explained to the bartender some of taste preferences. The Singapore sling was excellent as well as the other one he made. You can tell that they really care about their craft and are wanting to experiment with different flavors! It was nice being able to sit at the bar and chat as well
